So I've had a crush on this same guy for over a year and a half. I'm pretty convinced he doesn't feel that way about me. It's not like he goes out of his way to talk to me, he talks constantly about other girls and wanting pretty Asian girls to go out with, and probably doesn't even see me as a girl he'd consider dating (though he complains about no girls liking him).
I know I'm not an ugly girl at all and I've been told that I'm not, but he makes me feel unattractive sometimes. Like I'm not good enough because I'm not Asian, or average-sized (I'm chubby). He's never said anything about my weight, but it always seems to be the main turnoff for guys I like when it comes to me. I know I really shouldn't let it get to me, but it bothers me, you know? It's like I really want to tell him to STFU whenever he talks about girls not liking him because I LIKE HIM. It's like he's telling me that I don't count as a girl.
I know he knows, because I'm not even subtle about it. I've told him I like him.
I'm just hoping there will be someone else in my life soon, someone who will actually like me, so that I can get over him. He's sweet (despite the shallow remarks), funny, and we have a lot in common, but I don't think it'll go anywhere.
Anyway, /end rant. Are any of you crushing on someone who you know doesn't like you back? Or have you? Or do you just get over it when you find out they don't share your feelings (which I should do)? XD

I'm sure you will find someone who likes you back in the future.
And I bet that you're really pretty. I've had those times when I think that I'm unattractive, when I find faults with my body. (I'm still flat. e___e) I agree that being bigger is a turnoff or guys, they should learn how to be more open. And as for the Asian, a lot of guys like other cultures too~ ;D
I told the guy I liked him and he didn't like me back, I still kept liking him for a bit. I sort of knew already that he wouldn't like me back anyways. I just decided to let him know. He changed the way he acts towards me now. I'm not sure if it's because I told him, or something else.
If you're brave enough, try telling him. Maybe he acts like he doesn't like you because he's afraid you won't like him back! If only girls could read minds....that would make lives easier. xD
I hope the best for you, and that this guy ends up liking you too, or that you find someone better! >w<

Oh no. ;_; At least you let him know and got the closure you needed.
Gah, I wish I COULD read his mind. I don't know how he feels about me at all. Even though I let him know, he never really told me anything or gave me closure. He jokes around with me, remembers nearly every single thing I tell him, and has told me that he likes talking to me. But one of the telltale signs of a guy liking you is that he'll go out of his way sometimes to talk to you, and he doesn't really do that. I guess I'm more of a friend to him than a potential girlfriend. :/ He's told me before that he's shy, but I don't know if that's it or not.
I guess I should just talk to him about it, but I'm afraid I'll mess things up and he won't even be my friend. @_@; But I'm sick of him going "Oh, no girl will like me, blah blah blah". I asked him once if I didn't count or something, and he was all "No, I never said that!" and changed the subject.
UGH.

evil omg he is be a *&^%#@$%#&%^$%&*% holy s**t i am so f**ken mad what a f**k crying what an a** since u told him u like him he wants u to ask him out and if he talks to u about othere girlz not liking him since he alredy knows u like him hes doing that so u can tell him u like him well if i were u i would go shove up a 30 foot stick up his @$$ hes being a b***h hes not work it u seem realy cool go 4 another guy hes just making u feel bad and if he says no 1 likes him and he knows u like him hes just pushing up buttons so hes an a** 4 doing that if he keeps on talking to u like that and he says no girls like him tell him somthing mean theres a reson then hell probly no ur not intrested anymore even if u r mrgreen

Crap, I had the world's best advice, or something hopefully helpful, but I forgot once my uncle popped up onto the screen via IM... So let's re-read this and see if I can remember... Oh! I remember now! ^^
It depends on when you told him that you liked him because what I may be guessing is that he likes you but doesn't know if you still feel the same way about him anymore. And I think he might be looking for a reaction from you and if you don't give him the one he's hoping for it could be discouraging. And guys tend to be confusing.
I liked this guy, recently too. He used to live near my house apparently but we didn't meet until a couple of years ago. He was also born 1 year and 1 day after me in the same hospital. Those things have nothing to do with the story, I think it's just cool. Anyway, I thought he liked me for a while there and I even invited him and another of my friends to the homecoming dance. I would have just invited him but I didn't want to seem too forward about it. Anyway, they both came and another guy from my church was there with his girlfriend. He came up to me and said, "Hey Sam, Todd was wondering if you would dance with him." I was all for it, and thought it was kinda cute that he didn't ask himself. Then prom was coming up in May and I was too scared to ask him. By the time I did it was too late and I knew it. He couldn't go, but he had wanted to. So anyway, last month I told him on myspace that I liked him. It wasn't the way I wanted it to go down but I got tired of him seemingly ignoring me. He wrote back saying how it was brave of me to tell him and how he felt like a real a*****e for not going to prom. So thinking that he didn't feel the same I just decided to move on and just focus on other things like my near-finished book and upcoming school. Then if I liked a guy I wouldn't be held down with feelings for him anymore.

I got over it though, 'cuz they (of course) turned out to be jerks in the end
- their personalities were just facades, fronts they had practiced and put up to please the crowd
tsk, tsk
what a shame really..

I honestly think you should try to get over him. At this point, he's just being an arse about everything. You deserve better than someone who is going to keep wallowing in his misery for something that's standing right in front of him. Keep strong, girly, you know you can do it ;]

They SEEM like nice guys, even go out of their way to be nice, and end up being assholes.
For this guy, he's the reverse. A nice guy trying to be an a*****e. O_o;
I should get over him, and I STILL like him. >_< I don't know why. Maybe I just really need closure.

Aaany way..
There's this boy I like. And im pretty sure he doesnt like me. and i really really really like him. and so for like a week we were best friends and then all of a sudden when he walks by me, and i know he sees me becuase he looks right at me, he doesnt even say hey, or even nod, infact he doesnt even turn around he just keeps going like i dont even exsist. just like everyone else in my damn school. =[ he doesnt know that i feel that way about him unless my best friend Zach told him. but he promised he wouldnt so, what should i do?

I'm not sure if he likes me or not..but it's more likely to be not, so yeh, I'm in this position now. I guess we're friends, but I don't think he likes me like that.
I really hate it, 'cause I see him all the time at my drama group, and there's quite a few people around, and we're meant to be working, so I can't really do anything about telling him without everyone knowing sad I don't think I'd want to tell him anyway, I'd be too worried. (It's not helped by the weirdo at my drama group who acts like I'm going out with him, telling anyone I talk to to not say anything mean to me or he'll hate them forever eek )
I spent most of this morning staring at him whilst I was meant to be decorating the set sweatdrop
I'm just going to try to get over him.

That made me LOL. But knowing him, he'd take it as a joke.
You posted this a while ago, did he ever talk to you again? D: Maybe he knows and is nervous around you or something.
I'm going to get over him, in any case. I cried in front of him a few days ago and he didn't even care. He keeps hurting me and we're not even together; I have no faith in any relationship we could have. I'll tell him how I felt sometime soon.
To sort of conclude this thread: telling them how you feel is always the best option. Otherwise you'll never know and won't get the closure you need to move on.
