i havent realy looked into it yet but i heard that there aiming for depp as the riddler in the third batman movie.

Well most of my friends are comparing him to the past riddler (Jim Carrey) and I think that this riddler will be different... Darker. Just like the joker, you can't compare Heath Ledger (RIP) to Jack Nicholson... you just can't

word up...you definitely can't compare the different movies. however, i heard they are now considering Eddie Murphy for the riddler--WHY, i simply do not know.......i think they should just keep it as it is: it's perfect with the Dark Knight......why screw it up with a third one (threequels tend to suck if you ask me)???

Eddie Murphy recently turned the role down, according to some hXc Batman nerds I overheard the other day, heheh. biggrin
I think JD can be anybody, so I'd definitely give him a shot at it. However, I think it'd be awesome for the Batman film makers to cast an amazing unknown. I love it when new talents are "discovered". smile

Im really glad to hear that Eddie Murphy turned it down, it would just end up sucking if he was in it. I really dont like Eddie. Johnny is able to play any part he wants to, I think he'll do a great job.

I can really see johnny as the riddler after seeing a lot of the batman movies and johnny's movies with him acting like a lunatic.

I honestly don't think it would work. But then, I said the same thing about Heath Ledger when I first heard the speculation.

I think mr. Depp would be an excellent Riddler if given the chance.
spiderine89: they're making the third one because Batman IS a trilogy type, they're just taking the hugest parts of the story and using those. If they made everything then there would be at least a dozen different movies. The way they ended Dark Knight, it was intended that there would be a third film.

I think johnny depp would make a wonderfully freaky riddler. he has the amazing ability to take a character and change it into something he creates. he doesnt follow people before him who did similar things. he would be an awesome riddler.

I heard about this rumor before, but wasn't sure if it was true or not. May have to look into that.
Seriously, what role can't Johnny Depp pull off? I'd love to see him as the Riddler.
