Ok, eveyone knows that to run these teams can get pretty expensive. So how does your team make their MONEY?
My team, 1507, every year holds a raffle, selling tickets for a couple hundred dollers worth of goods, and usually get a good return. But besides that, we have a hard time coming up with interesting ideas.
I thought it might be nice to have a place were people can discuss fundraising tactics.

When we fundraise we just ask main companies in our area. But the raffle idea (if i may steal it) sounds like a good idea for us.

We get money from Chevron, Mechanics Bank, Industrial Light and Magic, a several other companies... *Checks old team shirts* The Richmond High School, and Mattson apparently. I think that usually pays for most of our expenses....

Our team Actually has a chili cookoff where people from around town come in and have their chili judged. And at the same time there is a silent auction going on with items donated to us. We also unveil our robot too. last year we actually had Mark Leon come to it.Too bad he didn't have his blue hair.
