I'm a graduate, so I have some experience here... xp
I think the one I liked best was the one we did my freshman year: Motown. It was a hard show due to the high notes (and never having played a mellophone prior, it was a challenge) but it was very fun. And we had some of the coolest seniors then too ^^ (though the ones up till my year, including my year, were pretty awesome, haha) We got a mere two points away from a Superior rating at evaluation with the brass.... but that's the closest we've been since sad

I think its a tie between 8th grade year and 9th grade year. (Don't ask how I was in HS marching band in 8th grade. It's a long story.)
8th grade was "Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner" Senior Dan "the Pirate Man" portrayed the Mariner of the poem. That show was amazing and we got 11th place at ACC's. (Not an easy feat!)
9th grade was "Carpe Noctem: A portrait of Van Gogh." There were four movements with four of his different paintings that symbolized different parts of his life. The best part was After he "went crazy and cut off his ear" in the third movement, the band scattered and yelled words in different languages to be like voices in his head. A judge said once, "There's a lot of chatter on the field....." xd That show got us 12th place at ACC's. (It should have been better since we got screwed over at Chapter Championships. stare )
