I gave blood about 2 hours ago.
I had a BAD reaction. I broke into a cold sweat and the lady said my face and lips lost the color.
She had to put an ice pack on the back of my neck and I hung out for about a half an hour afterwards watching Rachel Ray. gonk gonk

Anybody else ever give blood? What was your experience?
Anybody know what determines how your body reacts?

For the few times I've had blood drawn, it wasn't to bad. All I get is a little sleepy.

It really depends on person to person on how they react. I guess some people's bodies can't stand being short of blood or something. What I've noticed is that eating before having blood drawn really helps alot. If I have to get blood drawn and they tell me to fast, it's harder for my body to get to normal.

Last time I gave blood, she blew my vein and resulted in a half dollar blood blister.
