██████████████████████It had been an excessively warm and humid day, while the sun remained hidden by a heavy wall of interminable clouds. The sky was gray, and outside lingered nothing but still silence... everybody preferred to stay indoors with their air conditioning, couches and TVs when the weather was like this; practically unbearable. The summer had been long and constantly overcast, causing the atmosphere to be quite lethargic.
The aquatic winiko, however, still had somewhere fun and refreshing to play: a large, cool, deep lake, where life was as colorful as always. Shiny (and tasty!) fish sped around in large schools, and others in small groups nibbled at the coral and bits of algae-covered reefs. Light from outside filtered in through the surface as beautifully as ever, although not as deep as when the sun was out at full strength. But in this very lake, adventure awaited around every corner, with its labyrinthine reefs, a tall maze of rocks and caves and crevices to explore for the curious of heart. But who knows what dwelled within the deeps, who were shrouded in hungry darkness?...((Your aquatic Winiko is alone at this lake for some reason. Or with friends. But its human isn't there. xDD Anyways, did it arrive here to play? Because it got lost and just decided to take a dip? Because it came via one of the rivers it was following? Or wut? I dunno, it's just here. Now have fun and explore, and watch out for Ogone. Because she's out to kill in the deep mazes. twisted *HORROR ELEMENT* So yeah, feel free to join! n-n And oh yeah, Nautilus is in here too. But he's nice and may develop a romantic interest *SHOT* rofl Ogone is taken ;P ))

Enki yawned as he streched his legs while walking slowly. His antennas moved slowly up and down as he licked his maws. The earthy color male gave another bored yawn into the air and started to trot, not really caring where he was going. As he leaped over a bush, his paws suddenly hit water and he sank throught all the way to his eyes.
His goat tail twitched in annoyance, thought he hadn't let out a squeak. He started to walk deeper into the water, his weight letting him sink to the ground as his gills spread open to filtrate the water for oxygen. He hadn't gone swimming in a while. Not that he swam to began with, he just rather walked in the river and lake's floor. He lacked something the fish winiko had that let them swim with much ease, fins. Laying at the bottom of the lake, he let out some bubbles out before curling there, black eyes watching for any fish to snap into his jaws.

One... two... A small silver fish flashed before the young Winiko's eyes, and then immediately fled back into another crevice in the reef, a little nearer to the undulating surface of the lake. Nautilus, clinging to the coral growing on the jagged rock's edge, removed his paw tentatively from it and counted again. One... two... three! The fish sprang out again, but he swatted at it too late- it had escaped him again. The pattern repeated until a sudden splash sent invisible ripples through the water, causing Nau to glance towards its origin. "Ogone?..." he said, but then narrowed his three eyes and saw that it was not his sister as he had thought, but a stranger that he had never met before. It was his first time meeting someone else than his immediate family. Curious, he swam towards the unexpected guest with a few regular strokes of his tail, all four legs against him, and hovered at a safe distance just in case.

Enki's black eyes watched the shadow before looking up towards its creator. He mentally chst and rose his antennas as well as his head, watching the water winiko with some interest.
He rose to a sitting position and moved his jaws slowly, watching closely before moving a paw up, lightly and lazily giving the mild look of trying to paw at the other.

Seeing as the armored Winiko didn't seem to have any bad intentions, Nautilus swam closer, and then extended his legs towards the shallows in front of where Enki stood. He floated down easily and the clung softly to the earth, lifting up small clouds of dirt that remained close enough to the ground not to bother them. "Hi. I'm Nautilus. What kind of Winiko are you?" He asked, his voice full of curiosity, and clear despite being underwater.

"Good day, I am Enki." He tilted his head slightly and shurged. "I am not absolutely sure..." His antennas twitched and he looked up to them. "I am some type of aquatic bug....I suppose" He mumbled, his voice was slightly bubbly as he spoke under water.
"I suppose you are koi or fish winiko."

Sticking her nose to the surface of the water, Vienna bat her paw at it, testing its temperature. Warm enough. Ruffling her silken mane, she padded carefully in, heaving a soft breath before ducking beneath the surface. Gills, skillfully hidden behind her mane, softly swayed as she adjusted, before she swam gracefully and easily towards the rocky bottom. Tail lazily dragging behind her, it brushed against a couple pieces of lake weed as she passed.
Ear flicking in the water, she caught the soft sound of voices below her. Diving down a bit farther, her dark eyes found the lighter bodies of two male winiko, conversing between themselves on the lake floor. Claws digging into a overhang, she stood there for a moment, peering down at them.
"Good afternoon, gentlemen," she crooned, voice suave and soft, "Enjoying yourselves, are we?" She smirked at them, somewhat amused, but nonetheless glad that she had some sort of company now, for better or worse.

"A bug? That's odd. Bugs are small." Nautilus grinned, and suddenly charged forwards to knock his horns on Enki's armor. "It's haaard!" He announced, bouncing back in playful surprise. "I want armor too." To the younger Winiko, Enki seemed kind of cool. That's when something pretty brushed by his line of vision, causing him to glance upwards and bubble in amazement. Another Winiko. It seemed he was meeting lots and lots of people today. Unable to think of anything else to say, Nautilus spoke with admiration clearly in his voice: "I'm Nautilus. Nice to meet you."

"To the darkened depths of this watery grave, Do we lose our souls in the midst of waves. That continue to tear us limb from limb, The cruelest thoughts of sullen and grim. Yet to those find who find peace in this drowning pit, We torment those in fear and-"
The demon was cut off from forming his poem as the lure of voices caught him off gaurd. Scarlet-red eyes glinted softly from the depths as Shade blinked up at the at the small group of aquatic Winiko. He frowned slightly as a poet's block prevented him from completing his poem. The only reason he had swam to the depths of the lake today was to search for inspiration. But now he was at a loss of what to do as he sat quietly in the murky end of the lake floor. He could drift over to the others, but he wasn't too fond of being near a group of any kind, nor did he appreciate swimming out into the open under the sun's rays. The other Winiko were quite a ways off, but it would only be a matter of time before something, or someone scented the blood that stained his dark scales.

((Dun dun dunn... xP))
In the deeper parts of the enormous lake, the labyrinth of stone and coral reef could only be described as pitch black. If one looked above, even the shine of the sun through the water was faint and very far away, as it did not reach here.
The currents were so slow that any movement or sound would reverberate through the entire lake's still water... even the scent of a blood-tainted Winiko. A scent which could be enticing to a certain kind of demon... It drew her closer. A flash of golden eyes, watching could be spotted in one of the numerous dark crevices if anyone looked closely, before it sunk back into the shadows.

"Vienna." the elder female stated simply, still hanging like a gargoyle on the edge of the rock. Her eyes shifted from Nautilus to Enki, and then back again. "It's a pleasure." Her voice softened a bit, fins swaying slightly as she swung forward, diving gracefully down to their level. Feet grazing the ground, she easily pulled up, weaving amongst a few strands of lake weed and small rocks before standing more comfortably.
"I assume we're all just... escaping the weather?" she inquired, smiling in amusement. Of course they were, she knew that without having to ask. With the ability to journey underwater came a slightly similar strain of thought.
Attention snapping to behind her, the elder whirled on the spot, scenting the tell-tale scent of iron... blood. Eyes narrowing, she strained to see what would bring such a scent, but failed to see what it was; too far into murky waters.

" And fishes are normally small as well.....water bugs aren't all small to began with." He blinked when the other tapped his armored body. He didn't answer as he turned his head to watch yet another come closer, much larger then himself and Nautilus. "...." He easily spot her as an elder.
"Enki." He murmur lightly and turned his head away picking up the same thing as Vienna, but he wasn't alarm at all. He was armored winiko, the likeliness of him being severely hurt was lessen. "Weather" He inquired lightly.

The dorsal fin along Shade's back flexed uneasily as a shiver jolted down his spine. It was the eerie feeling one would get when they felt as if they were being watched... He slowly glanced over his shoulder into the dark abyss of the lake. Nothing. Yet he couldn't shake the feeling that something was down there. Unfortunatley for the dark poet, his bloodied flank had deceived him. The others seemed aware of his presence, and no doubt if anything was lurking in the depths, it smelled his tainted scales as well. Eyes lowered, Shade frowned and took a step back. It was not his nature to confront others willingly. Besides, he felt more at ease within the shadows than he did in the open. Sighing, he drifted down into the darkened maze of the lake depths.

The pale blue Winiko almost oogled at the elder's graceful swimming. He hoped he could swim as well as that some day, too. "Yeah... it wasn't good outside. But it's very nice in the lake. My si-" Cut off by the smell of blood, the young demon looked in Shade's direction and blinked. "It smells funny that way. Who's that?" Peering harder, he could see that someone had just disappeared into the rocks.
Ogone swam with ease between the pitch black reefs, who could easily scratch and tear open ones scales if navigated without caution. Hmmm, a playful thought entered her mind upon the Shade's entry into her... special hunting grounds. A Winiko? Her bloodthirst was increased by the smell he carried. Why not... larger prey... a smile, full of sharp, needle-like teeth, lingered on her face.
Suddenly, claws shot out from the dark towards Shade's unprotected back. ~"Play a little game with me."~ A sinister voice resonated in the water softly, as if coming from every direction, before she pulled back into the shadows as quickly as she had come.
