Self explanatory. i wanna know how you feel about each ogf them and which one is better in your opinion. personally i think rock can kill rap anyday but its you not me.

I think both genres are good in their own way. I would like to believe if you like a song, you just like the song lol, no matter what genre it is.
I listen to more rock though xD

Well my problem is, that I never really researched any Rap music, nor I heard (besided MTv... if you call that Rap), so my choice is easily Rock.
But still if anyone would like to suggest some good rappers that I should look after, I would gladly.

Love them both but defiantly rock over all. I love the style of rock a lot more and the only real rapper I listen to is Lil Wayne, T-Pain, and a few others. And with rock, the list is unbelievably long, so ya, I lean a little more towards rock....... but they both still own the world. XD

The main thing I don't like about rap is the "sampling" taking a beat from something else and looping it endlessly.

Rock is my love of the music world. :3 German metal, J-rock, American classic... I have a little bit of each.
I just don't like rap. Period. With mainstream stuff, it's just the same phrases over and over... Yeah, I'm lookin' at you, Soulja Boy!
They say that rock can actually help improve your vocabulary. I don't think it's true, but there is some fact to potentially back it up. *shrug* Rock uses some rather big words throughout all the subgenres. Rap, I dunno about that; I just call that word salad.
Apologies if I offend anyone. I'm passionate about my rock. :3

for all my life, ive listen to nothing but rock. since i lived in a small town, there wasn't much rap. then i moved and found out that rap is taking over the music world. i hate it. it sounds weird and there is like, no beat to it. oh, what ever happen to the wonderful music know as rock n'roll *sign*

Well, I grew up listening to my dad's rock collection, so I definately prefer it over rap (which is pretty much only good for dancing to).

Although I listen to all types of music and I have yet to find a type that I just flatout dont like I will have to go with the unpopular vote and say rap for me. Don't get me wrong rock is just fine with me, but when I dance or when I'm just sitting there talking with friends or waiting to go up on stage rock just doesn't do it for me, now when I'm driving or getting ready to race someone or playing videogames its all about rock. And there are problems with both genre, not just rap and not just rock. and they both have their good points too. For the most part to me music is music and for the record rappers are not the only ones who sample and loop stuff just like there are some rappers who actually can play instruments (not many lol) but as I already stated to me music is music I will listen to anything from the backstreet boys to weird al to ludacris to back on to do as infinity and it doesnt make one bit of difference to me as long as I have some music to listen to.
