Amaterasu was racing through the forest little flames dancing around her back. She panted heavily and came to a small clearing and started to slow down a big and trotted lightly over to some running water. She leaned down and lapped at it gently, enjoying the beautiful light of the sky reflecting and wiggling with her tongue laps on the water. The water was cool as it ran down her throat and to her empty stomach. It hurt a little a first but her stomach got used to it. Her breathe was calmer now and she lapped at her chest which had little drops of water on it.

 Eve was curled up in a tree watching a bird cleaning it's feathers. Her amber eyes flicked away from the bird when she saw something stopping at the waters edge not to far away. By the looks of it, it was a dragonfly of some kind. Looking back at the bird what was still cleaning it's feathers she slowly gets up and flicks her tail slowly. With one swift movement she jumped from her perch to the birds. The bird made a loud chirping sound before it went silent. Grinning for a moment she pokes at the now unmoving bird in her paws. She just loved to jump birds. A few feathers fell from the tree she was in now.

Amaterasu was startled by the bird crying out. She turned to see what had possibly just killed the thing. Her eyes widened seeing a dragonfly in a tree. "You there. Who are you?" She approached cautiously. Who was this strange dragonfly? It reminded her of the one so many years ago... the who'd... hurt her so badly. She was quite frightened and thought a fight might be coming.

Eve's amber eyes flicker over to the dragonfly that stepped a little closer. Looking at the dragonfly carefully well still clinging to the bird in her hands she turns her head. "Hmm? Who am I? Well I'm just some random thing in the trees." She purrs for a moment before taking a gloved paw and picking at the feathers of the dead bird. "Why do you ask?"

Amaterasu tilted her head. This was strange indeed. "Well your in a tree and...Why did you kill that bird?" She looked at the little dead bird in the poor lighting. She could almost feel it's death pass. It saddened her to see things die, which was part of the reason she was currently starving.

Looking down at the bird she blinks. "Well I killed it because I want to eat it. I find killing something unless I'm going to eat it is useless. But playing with things and letting them go is fun." Turning her head she peered at the dragonfly below her. "Why do you care about a bird anyways? If you want one I can go and get you one. There are alot around this area." She flicked her tail for a moment and purred. "And what is wrong with being in a tree?"

Amaterasu cringed for a moment,"No... please... don't kill anything else right now. These birds are my friends. I care for them now and then." She peered into Eve's eyes. "And... there's nothing wrong with being in a tree. I've just never seen a dragonfly high up in a tree like that... unless... can you fly?" She squinted looking closer at the others wings, doubtful that they could be sustainable for flight. "I mean... it's quite interesting seeing you there. Makes you special...." She walked around the base of the tree a little hoping to get a better view of the other. By her voice and scent she assumed it was female, but she still hadn't seen it quite good enough to be sure for herself.

"Fly? Oh I wish that I could but no. I can't fly, I don't even have wings at all." Eve purred softly and shifted peering at the bird for a moment. "Sorry but birds are one of the main things that I eat. But that might because I spend most of my time in the trees." Curling her tail a little around the branch she was on she followed the other dragonflies movements under. "I would say that I'm a special kind of dragonfly. I have never seen another like myself."

"Oh I agree, none like you are in existence. You are more like a cat than a dragonfly." She smiled,"I think I might have to call you that... cat..." She grinned and squinted her eyes a bit. "Oh... so you don't have wings... I see that now... Why don't you come down here where I can get a better look at you... indulge my curiosity?" Her paws padded back and forth a bit in excitement. Where had this dragonfly come from. She did seem a lot like a cat... those claws of her's must have been the reason she was able to climb as she did. It excited her and she wandered around at the base more. She was desperate to get a better look at her. It was rare she met up with other dragonflies these days. "I don't have wings either... I do have an interesting tail and a shield though..."

Eve watched the other dragonfly pacing around more under her. She really was not sure why the other dragonfly was so happy to meet her but that didn't matter. It didn't seem like this dragonfly was going to judge her in the wrong way. Peering at the big still in her hands she eats it with a purr before jumping down to a lower branch. From there she got a better look at the other. She did indeed have an interesting tail and an odd thing on her back. Turning her head a little before jumping down even more then finally to the ground beside the other dragonfly.

Amaterasu's brush tailed swayed happily when she say the other dragonfly start to even out the distance between them. Now she'd have a level playing ground for getting a good look at this forest creature. How she loved seeing the wonders of nature, and all things that inhabited the Di'jai. It really was he pleasure to make new encounters like this. She watched the other dragonfly ascend until she was on the ground with her and smiled her big tail swishing around more, painting little streaks in the air. "So where do you come from, and what is your name my feline-ish acquaintance..." She cocked her head curiously getting a little closer for a smell. To her surprise the other smelled divine. Amaterasu kept to herself and continued to just curiously look at her.

"Hmm? Where do I come from?" Eve thought about that as she watched the other dragonfly. "I was born like any other. I was just different was all." Eve flicked her tail for a moment then turned her head. "And as for my name it is Eve. What might your be hmm?" The other dragonfly was not normal at all, which made Eve happy. She never liked the normal type.

Amaterasu stopped to think for a moment ad looked down to the ground. Born like any other... she must have come into existence as I had. Alone and scared, growing up on her own. Or maybe that elf had taken her in. She pondered for mere seconds and then as she looked up at the other her shield had spun a little faster and her tailed wagged more showing her happiness. "Oh.. I know what you mean... dragonflies are each so original that no one is really different were all special in our own way. Some of us however... are extra special." She smiled eying eve's form. "They call me Amaterasu..." Her own name felt a little odd on her tongue but she didn't think it over much. She liked this other dragonflies personality and as usual that made her very curious.

"No the other dragonflies are not special. They are all just normal and judge those who are different. My own mother judged me!" Eve hisses at the thought of her mother. "My sibling mocked me and said I should never have been I should have died because I was weak." Her amber eyes glinted with anger for a moment. "I had to grow up on my own. Because I was different because I was small!" She flicked her tail in anger and looked up at the trees. "I don't like normal dragonflies because they are all the same."

Amaterasu had thought for a moment about how her son had been judged by others and her heart twinged for Kagutsuchi. He had tried to burn her alive with his anger as a child and ran away after his father mutilated him with that knife from the human world. Her eyes filled with grief and her heart with pain. She looked to the other dragonfly sympathetically and nodded, "I know what you mean when you say that but everyone has something special about then. It might not be on the outside but inside they have special things. Even if someone is mean to you that doesn't mean that all normal dragonflies will hate. So may adore you or honor that you have such qualities. I know that there are many that admire oddities because they have nothing of their own looks wise." She sat down thoughtfully and titled her head wondering if what she'd said had been appropriate or made sense to the other.
