I kinda knew since it's Nickelodeon and Y7 rated. No 7 year old would get why it wouldn't be Aang and Katara.
I'm acutally going to miss the fights over the pairings lol

I knew it simply because Mike and Bryan said so. xD
Honestly, I don't think it's an age thing. It would be easy enough in the third season to make a younger kid understand Zutara if they had the right emotional scenes in there, which they had the foundations for already. It's simply because M&B like Kataang better. They said that they've "always had a soft spot for Kataang" and that they've been planning everything - including pairings - from the beginning.

SO happy it turned out to be Katara with Aang. 4laugh I've been hoping that from the beginning. heart
And yeah... I'm mixed on the "no more fights." I think there'll always be rivalry between the Kataangers and the Zutarians. Just not as much now.
Personally, I'm willing to let bygons be bygons... Well, after I rub it in to all of my Zutara friends... After I teast them a bit, then I'll be done. wink

I am so happy that it ended with it being aangxkatara, i always loved them together. zukoxkatara just didnt seem right. (my sister was not happy at all because for some reason *she doesnt even know* she just hats kataraxaang)

I like Zutara, and deep down, I think that is what I wanted to happen. However, I was never really convinced of it actually coming true. I never thought it would happen, I just liked the thought of it and think it would be a cool pairing. But, I always knew that it would be Kataang and didn't mind that. I always was a Kataang fan from the beginning, but the Zutara fandom creeped up on me. So, anyway, I am content with how it is, and expected it to turn out that way. Lol, but I loved the Zutara moments up until that point, they created tension that was funny.

Not a fan of both ships, I'm just happy with whoever the characters end up with but honestly I really can't see zutara happening from the start. I only see them as friends.
To zutara fans, I'm always curious to which part starts the zutara shipping?

That, and the whole "Fire" and "Water" thing in general. I think that subconsciously, people enjoy it when polar opposites attract and make a seemingly doomed relationship work. It's a highly romanticized idea. But alas, Kataang won in the end. I knew it would happen because in an interview on one of the DVD's, the question "What are the chances of a Zuko and Katara romance?" Their response?: "You'd be better off asking about a Momo and Appa romance." I was like YES!! Kataang > Zutara!

I was VERY happy it was Kataang! I wanted Mai to be with Zukko. They are such a cute emo couple 3nodding I knew it would be Katara and Aang when the fortune teller said Katara would marry a "Great Bender" I know Zukko is a great bender but who is better than Aang??? SO HAPPY heart

I think that many people were for Zutara because they seem like a more natural choice. The two of them were closer to each other's age and they have the usual male/female height ratio.
BUT I think that it was part of Aang's destiny to meet Katara and that it makes sense that they're completely meant for each other.
