Here you may post your paintings, but please include a title and description, as well as the types of paints used (Oils,Watercolor, etc), and whether the painting was done on canvass or something else.

If it's a small canvas that could work, if it's bigger tho, it'd be easier to snap a picture of it and upload it.

Let it also be said that painting doesn't exclusively involve canvases, paper, or other traditional mediums.
Anything can be a canvas, wood, terracotta, plaster, buildings (if you have the legal right to paint), walls, and even the human body.
I do a lot of off the wall make up styles when going out to clubs and what not, so I'll be uploading things like that at some point.

Hehe, I haven't finger painted in a long time since maybe pre-school but I have painted some rocks. Last summer I went and collected them from Lake Superior and then used acrylic paint.

Oh hell, Brian. Back when I wasn't scared of real paint, I painted with my fingers ALL the damn time. I had perpetually weird colored fingers for years. It was my cheating way of smoothing out areas where I didn't want brush strokes. Okay. Fine. I'm going to go dig out my portfolio and get some traditional art posted. You've convinced me.

Title: By Any Other... Medium: Acrylic on Watercolor Paper Additional: Charcoal and Chalk Pastels Artist Comments: This is a pretty simple piece, but one I like. Besides my fingers, I love running charcoal through wet paint. I just like the effect and it's a really handy thing for helping define lines and motion. But you can def. tell there was some mad finger painting going on, here. wink

That's beautiful and fun! I love the colors and the textures. That looks like it was a lot of fun, and it has a very spring and summery feel about it.
Kudos!

Ahh, thanks you two. I totally feel a finger painting contest coming on in the near future... That'd be a hoot.

Abstraction it's one of those things that always keeps me guessing. I always like seeing the titles with the piece of these types of works. Then my brain tries to figure out where it fits into the title. So I wonder is it an above view of a city type scape? Is it a building from many sides like cubism? Do the colors carry meanings like some other artists I know of? Then again it could be just art for arts sake. Just a little of my thought process.

People would go nuts over this down here in Tucson. I love the coloration on both, and I gotta say.. fingerpainting contest does sound like way too much fun smile Great work.
