The second round could not be any more different from the first, the setting changing from the cultivated, man-made arena to a lush jungle. From any given point, all one could see around oneself are trees, fallen branches and leaves, and full grass. Were if not for the large clearing where the sunlight felt particularly intense, no onlooker would know that this was once the site for disciplined combat.
In the center of this clearing stood a large round ring with a diameter of 50 feet. One could not be sure how stable the ring now was, having long ago fallen victim to the vegetation that surrounded it. From the very edge of the ring outward the jungle continued to grow and thrive, with tree roots stubbornly attempting to destroy the grey stone. Along with these roots, the unlevel floor of the ring was filled with weeds that had grown in the cracks and crumbled pebbles and stone that were removed to make way for the weeds.
From the skies fell yet another Disperse Halo, this one delivering a victor from Round One and a second fighter who was fortunate to automatically advance. The victor was the fierce ruby kitsune designated Red who faced off against the Egyptian fighter Sol Nal Azul, and her challenger would be the leviathan known as Soneko. As it turned out, both fighters shared some common gifts, but would that make a difference in this battle?
Despite the rules concerning ringout, the warriors would find their movements highly restricted outside of the ring with the oppressive fence of trees surrounding them and the faint presence of branches over hanging the surface of the tattered arena floor. However, despite it all, both fighters were being watched as miniature cameras had yet again been installed around the ring, placed on tree trunks, branches, and some even on the roots and weeds sprouting from the ring floor.
Ready or not, it was finally time for round two.

Whoever rolls the higher number will be responsible for the initial fight post. All warriors are advised to keep count of the number of posts because no post after the specified limit will be considered for the tournament. One method is to include the post number every time your character makes a move. At this moment, all profiles have been pulled and will be forwarded to the judges. If at any point your character does something not clearly specified in your profile, you will be asked to edit the post or be disqualified. Good luck to you, and may the fight begin.

She would never admit it, but she couldn't be more grateful for the fight ending as it did. Though she was braced for impact, there was nothing comfortable about being power bombed into solid stone.
Of course it didn't make her entrance particularly graceful as the Disperse Halo delivered her on the floor of her new setting in a relatively inexplicable and awkward position. For all it was worth, the ruby kitsune did not express the least bit of embarrassment in the matter, and simply rose to her feet, dusting herself off.
It was not a wise tactic to use, but it paid off that she had conserved as much energy as she could in the previous battle by not exerting too much focus on her magic skills. However, all things considered, she was still physically worn, her breathing heavy and her brow moist with perspiration. A drink of water would be nice, but no such accommodation would be allowed, she knew. Worst of all, her opponent was in full form. She had only a two in five chance of advancing to face someone else who participated in round one, but the Mother had a different fate in store for her.
Eying her new opponent, she noticed first and foremost that this one was a male. That opened a few windows to her, but closed others. Her tail snapped behind as a breeze caught the hem of her skirt, brushing the dirty cloth against the weathered and battered surface of the ring. The setting had its subtle niceties, but all in all the presence of the wood was imposing, warning her to watch her every step.
"Red"
The kitsune greeted her new adversary with but a bow and a name, less than she had permitted Sol to gain before their bout. Afterwards, she assumed the same opening stance she presented before the Egyptian, her face a cold, uncaring gaze, save for ferocity that glowed behind her eyes. Another flick of her tail and a deep breath and she returned as close to serenity as she could.

As the Halo wrapped itself around Soneko for the second time today, he knew it was time for his first match to begin. Now finding himself in a heavily wooded area, standing on a stone surface. He looked down at the ring, noting the vegetation that had found its way through the structure, making its presence known at the top. It had found an obstical and overcame it. Just as he predicted he would do in this battle against the female kitsune standing before him. He saw she was slightly out of breath and he sensed her desire for the smallest drink of water. She may just get what she wanted if the match went well enough.
He stood at his full height, his hands stuffed into his back pockets while his eyes seemed more interested in the forest around him rather than the readied opponent in front of him. He looked like he was bored. When she spoke, his eyes lazily looked over to her. She had given her name. He shrugged it off, not caring to give any kind of response. As she bowed he felt a sick sense of satisfaction. While he knew that she had done it for a show of mutual respect, but since it wasn't mutual at all it would have appeared as though she was adressing somebody of a higher stature than herself. In his mind, it was true. Only time would tell.
As she now stood erect, he could see the aching for a good fight in her eyes. The left side of his mouth lifted into a sick smirk as his eyes narrowed in pure amusement. He hoped that this woman wouldn't let the fatigue from her last match slow her down in this one. It was never fun to fight somebody when they weren't at their best. It wouldn't have mattered either way to him though. He had come here to win, and there wasn't anything that was going to stop him.
Hands still in the back of his pockets, he leapt into action, darting directly at his opponent. He closed in on the kitsune in a matter of no time. But as she saw him get within seven feet of her, she would immediately be greeted by an explosion of smoke not but three feet from her. This would blind her view, which would cause her to assume one of two things: that either A) He was using this veil of smoke to give her less time to respond to an oncoming attack, as she would only be able to see him bursting through the smoke by the time it was too late. Or B) He was using it in order to hide the fact that he had moved to a different location. Having that thought in mind could stop the fox from trying to move in another direction blindly, for it could cause her to walk straight into a setup.
Soon enough though, she would see Soneko's figure launchind directly through the smoke, his right fist raised up and above his head. It came crashing down and sideways at a horizontal angle, just barely missing the tip of her nose. Bending his knees and hunching his back, he ducked under the kitsune's right arm, stepping behind her and turning a full 160 degrees. As he extended his knees and came back to his full height, his left fist would be traveling in a hook towards the left side of his opponent's skull.

Unimpressed. Saying that much probably still gave too much credit to how Red felt about this particular attack. Her eyes glazed over once he took off, her mind going blank. She had learned her lesson from Sol's opening attack, and wouldn't be duped again.
Rather than reacting to an assumption, the ruby locked vixen stood and waited, preparing for physical truth to present itself, which it did in the form of the male figure bursting through the smoke for her. It would be inaccurate to say she saw it coming, but she reacted as though she did easily enough.
He missed, which was foolish in and of itself, but it was clearly a feint; a trap within a trap. It was smart, but no less obvious. As he began to shadow her, she responded. Once he moved behind her, they were both temporarily back to back, and in that moment before he could spin around and assault her, she spun around him, shifting her right foot behind her before pivoting on the ball, her left foot sweeping around her front clockwise.
The end result would be her standing behind him, with her left side roughly lined up with his center. In a very inoffensive manner, she thrust her left palm forward to push him from the center of his back.

While her palm had indeed made contact with the leviathan's back, his reflexes were quick enough to get him out of the way of the push. Reaching behind him with his left arm, he gripped her left wrist as he spun himself into another one-eighty. Keeping a very solid grip on her wrist, he reached up and put his right hand flat on her shoulder, pressing down with hopes of having the woman yield to his strength. With more than enough pressure to keep her arm stuck in his grip. He yanked her arm down and towards him, bringing his left foot off the ground and thrusting his knee towards the kitsune's belly.
From there, if he had stunned the fox as he had intended, he bent his knees, squatting to the ground. Clenching his right fist and stiffening his legs again, he brought his powerful fist up directly towards the bottom of her chin. While this was happening he was simultaneously bringing his left hand up. His hand open and his palm facing the kitsune, an orb of water began to grow in the center of his hand. The orb soon grew to four times the size of his hand and shot forward directly after his uppercut had gone through it's full swing, rushing violently from the palm of his hand continuously. While the water wouldn't particularly hurt the vixen, it would knock her back several feet.
With the rushing water having stopped being projected from the palm of his hand, he pivoted to his right to watch the woman's reaction from his attack. With the same amused smirk plastered on his face, his lips parted as he spoke his first words to the woman. "You looked like you coud've used a quick rinse." He had said it with the kind of tone that made it seem like he was calling the girl dirty more than it was saying she looked like she needed to be cooled down.

He preferred to fight with force. When it came to combat, usually, all things being equal, whoever hit the hardest usually clinched victory. Furthermore, if you were destined to fight someone who was already growing weary, it would be wise to beat them bloody quickly so that you could move on with your life. It was, overall, a very smart thing to do.
However, there was more to combat than strength.
With no emotional response whatsoever, Red answered her assailant's grab with a swift twist and jerk of her left arm. The weakness in any wrist hold was the thumb, which could not endure as much resistance as the rest of the hand. Had she been some amateur, it would have made sense that he'd have a pretty tight hold of her, but the push in itself lacked any real intent, which meant she was just waiting for him to act so that she could respond.
He almost got her though, and feeling the tension between his thumb and her wrist as she rotated it clockwise, she gauged the future of this fight. As he spun around to her left, she took a step to the right, turning 90 degrees to stand face-to-face before him, resuming her hanmi stance. His action and his reaction had told her a lot about him, but not nearly enough to trump him just yet.
With a gaze etched in stone, she awaited his next move.
