The second round could not be any more different from the first, the setting changing from the cultivated, man-made arena to a lush jungle. From any given point, all one could see around oneself are trees, fallen branches and leaves, and full grass. Were if not for the large clearing where the sunlight felt particularly intense, no onlooker would know that this was once the site for disciplined combat.
In the center of this clearing stood a large round ring with a diameter of 50 feet. One could not be sure how stable the ring now was, having long ago fallen victim to the vegetation that surrounded it. From the very edge of the ring outward the jungle continued to grow and thrive, with tree roots stubbornly attempting to destroy the grey stone. Along with these roots, the unlevel floor of the ring was filled with weeds that had grown in the cracks and crumbled pebbles and stone that were removed to make way for the weeds.
From the skies fell yet another Disperse Halo, this one delivering a victor from Round One and a second fighter who was fortunate to automatically advance. The victor was the warrior Aurorion Trition who faced off against the samurai Hasamoto Konosuke , and his challenger would be the mysterious fighter who referred to himself only as X. Aurorion, whether he knew it or not, was faced with a second challenge to try as he might not only to win, but to unmask this nameless fighter for the rest of the world to see.
Despite the rules concerning ringout, the warriors would find their movements highly restricted outside of the ring with the oppressive fence of trees surrounding them and the faint presence of branches over hanging the surface of the tattered arena floor. However, despite it all, both fighters were being watched as miniature cameras had yet again been installed around the ring, placed on tree trunks, branches, and some even on the roots and weeds sprouting from the ring floor.
Ready or not, it was finally time for round two.
~ring courtesy of Carl Elynwood Before either contestant begins, please prepare an entrance post of your own to indicate you are prepared to start and once again roll a 20 sided die via post action. Whoever rolls the higher number will be responsible for the initial fight post. All warriors are advised to keep count of the number of posts because no post after the specified limit will be considered for the tournament. One method is to include the post number every time your character makes a move. At this moment, all profiles have been pulled and will be forwarded to the judges. If at any point your character does something not clearly specified in your profile, you will be asked to edit the post or be disqualified. Good luck to you, and may the fight begin.

Mystery Fighter X rolled 1 20-sided dice:

As the dispersal ring brought him to the arena, the mysterious X seemed calm, but almost naive of the circumstances here in the arena. The whites of his mask looked around at the trees and foliage; the minor obstacles weren’t bad, but the low tree cover could become an issue for vertical ring-outs.
He tapped his foot on the granite floor, chipping some shards off from a small dent by his foot. Even though this was man-carved stone, it was old and worn by weather and ages. As long as there were no attacks directed at it then it could be considered sturdy footing, but if something missed then this stone would crater better then possibly any surface he’d fought on to date.
As his opponent gated in, X looked to him with a tilted head. After a moment of looking him over, he bowed silently with his hands cupped together and his eyes locked on this ‘Trition’ before taking up a simple and almost amaturistic combat stance. His left foot shifted back slightly and both of his arms rose up in front of him, loosely bent with open fists like grappler who didn’t quite know what he was doing. He was ready to fight, as they all were, and had no intention of losing.

.....As yet another Dispersal Halo warped Trition to the second battle of the tournament, flashes of his previous confrontation flew through his head: A simple dash countered by an uneffective warhammer jab. But then... the fight had simply ended. For whatever reasons - Trition had not been given the opportunity to question his former opponent - the samurai-type warrior had forfieted the match.
Given up.
Tapped out. .....But, that minute setback simply meant that Aurorion advanced further along the trail leading to being named champion rather than his being stopped in his tracks by way of a loss. .....Trition could not complain about the samurai'schoice, except for the fact that the battle had been most lacking in the entertainment department. .....After his figure had been returned to its normal state, Aurorion viewed his surroundings with a pair of critical eyes; this arena was far from what he had fought in before; the nature-infested arena within whose confines he now stood drastically differed for the kept stadium he had earlier fought in. After taking in the scene, his orbs swiveled toward his new opponent, who stood opposite him. Nodding in acknowledgement, Aurorion's right arm came up form a right angle with his side, and, with a swirl of holy energy stemming from his elbow, a warhammer of radiant beauty - obviously crafted by a master of weaponsmiths - was called into being. ....."I wish you luck," Aurorion called. "And with that, let us begin!" As if his hammer had suudenly become too heavy, his arm dropped, causing the head of the warhammer to smash into the arena with surprising force; rock fragments and a small dust cloud rose as a result.

Trition offered him welcome, and X replied in kind. With a light nod of his head, or more of a bob then a nod, one of his loosely hung hands clenched tight and presented a firm ‘thumbs up’ to his willing opponent. As he returned his hand to its original pose, his legs began to move beneath him as he began to close the distance between them.
His body swayed with every footfall as he accelerated, though he still seemed rather sluggish compared to some of the high-end combatants, it took a lot of energy to get an upper body that big up to full speed with those un-proportional legs. As he neared his opponent, his right arm shifted, pointing the base of his palm forward as he pulled his arm back beside him to strike.
Finally it appeared that he had stopped accelerating, assumable at his maximum speed (which still wasn’t anything supernatural, but would have been pretty good for a normal human) with still a good ten feet between him and his opponent. His stance lowered and, as he closed the final gap, he thrust the base of his palm forward to strike him straight in the abs. The strength of the hit would incapacitate a normal man, but would do little more then knock the wind out of an experienced fighter, though to be winded at the start of a fight would truely be a disadvantage in its own right..

.....Seeing his opponent give the thumbs-up acknowledgement, Aurorion knew things were about to be under way; a rush of adrenaline, set off by the anticipation of this latest match, shot off throughout his entire body and within moments, he was focused and prepared for the match. .....This stranger, unbeknownst to Aurorion as X, rushed toward Aurorion at a speed typically unseen in tournaments of this type; it was slow, in a word. However, it seemed a good pace for X and Aurorion would not let himself fall into the grasp of underestimation in a fight, let alone this particular one. His right hand rested upon the grip of his holy warhammer, the thumb ticking against the leather-bound metallic pole as X approached. .....'Foolhardy,' scoffed Aurorion within his mind. .....Just as it seemed X had reached his peek, merely a handful of seconds after he had lowered his body, Aurorion whipped his body about, performing a twirl with his arms extended fully - simultaneously, his right forearm glowed once more with holy essences, which swirled in a nearly chaotic pattern to his hand. Covering an easy three feet with this dance-of-a-move, he came to the end of a three-quarter rotation and let the head of his hammer smash into the arena floor unhindered; dust and rocky debris kicked up immediately from the force. Accompanying the blow to the floor, the holy essences lanced toward the head of the hammer and were magnified by the very nature of it, then sent forth in an explosive beeline of holy energies with malicious intent; skin would be made to tingle uncomfortably with the heat of the attack. .....Proceeding to reverse his spin, Aurorion lowered himself and once more extended his arms, this time rotating left-to-right. Both hands gripping his hammer, holy particles were once more gathered and then magnified, this time loosing themselves in a semi-circular wave that would speed toward the rushing X. Just in case of his dodging the first attack...

A dancing opponent was not what X had expected, but even a dancer with a weapon could be dangerous. His eyes were focused on the hammer as it spun along with his golden laced opponent, but because he had expected it to strike at him, not to strike the ground. After the strike he re-focused on his opponent, but his attention was soon re-drawn.
The golden light that the hammer expelled caught him off guard, but only an instant after it immerged he was airborne. With a firm thrust from his front leg he rose above the blast, doubling his approach speed in the process. With his arm still cocked back, he changed his target to Aurorions face, but was startled again before he could strike.
The second arc of energy flew out with almost no room to spare, and the low aim from his previous position was his only saving factor. With what looked more like a muscle spasm then an attempt to dodge, X threw his legs up high behind him, arching his back in a most uncomfortable manner. The top of the crescent beam still skimmed the middle of his jacket, singeing the synthetic material and exposing the bleached fibers inside.
The sudden need to dodge had thrown off any premeditated tensing of muscle he would’ve needed to throw a decent strike, but he was not above improvising. Finally within physical range, he cupped his left hand around the back of Aurorions head and used it as leverage to accelerate his right knee directly at his face. ((Post 3))

.....His opponent truly was a fighter, for which Aurorion was thankful; he would have felt a twinge of regret and guilt for using such harsh techniques so early in a battle, especially against a man who was, as far as Aurorion knew, unarmed and not throwing magic-based attacks at him. .....X was now traveling at a good pace toward Aurorion's position, and seeing his quick reflexes save him from both arcs of heated energy, Aurorion decided not to play the part of fat kid in gym class; swinging his hammer back to his right side, he slammed the head once more into the ground. Using that momentum on top of the force produced from the contraction of his left abdominals, his body was carried to the left with no problems whatsoever in an attempt to distance himself from his oncoming target. .....Gaining his feet quickly, Aurorion would retreat but for three steps more, placing him probably a good seven feet from where X had landed. Of course, he had long ago turned his body in order to face that of X's.

“That light…” X thought to himself as he tumbled through the air. Arcing toward the ground, he was subject only to the effects of gravity, and the slow rate at which it pulled him gave him a few moments to think. Looking down at the damage it had caused his jacket, he felt relieved it had not struck him head on. Such awesome destructive power caused by light, light that seemed to be emitted… from the hammer? It seemed impossible, yet he wore its proof on his chest.
The masked man had never fought against a holy warrior before; in truth he’d never fought anything with that sort of insane supernatural power. He had too get close and stay there, and hope that this searing light couldn’t be summoned from the haft of the hammer as well as its head.
Finally nearing the ground, X extended a hand and planted it firmly on the ground. A little give, then he thrust off again to flip himself back to his feet. Even before they met the ground, it was obvious he would waste no time launching his next strike. He landed low, like a sprinter with one leg extended far back and his hand planted to steady his landing. As soon as he hit, he was off.
His left arm rose up in the air, seemingly ready to block the massive head of that hammer (as if it would do any good) and his right was back beside him with the base of his palm extended forward again. It appeared he was preparing the same strike he had readied in his opening charge, but it was only for show. Assuming he would make it to his opponent unhindered, his arm would extend at the speed of a quick jab and attempt latch onto his opponents left arm and pull it toward him. Not only would this force Trition to wield his hammer in one hand, but the offset of balance would be the perfect setup for X to plant a solid knee in his gut and hopefully cripple the holy warrior.

.....Aurorion watched his opponent return to his feet, waiting silently for the fight to continue. Holding out his right arm much as before, he allowed for Lustria, the warhammer he wielded into battle as an extension of himself, to disperse in a manner resembling the dissembling of tiny metallic particles. In truth, these were holy energies which had been manufactured into a physically sound tool. .....Aurorion was no newbie to the world of contact sports, and hand-to-hand contact was nearly his specialty; having been raised within a clandestine neighborhood of holy warriors, Aurorion had received training which had covered a variety of situations. Finding his opponent still without a weapon, he decided to switch the situation into a hand-to-hand mode. .....Assuming a Muay Thai combat style as X approached once more, allowing his left side to lead. X propelled his right arm into the fray first, and simultaneously Aurorion rocketed forth his left. Just as X was attempting a grab, so was Aurorion; he was attempting to latch his left hand upon the tender muscle region about the area where his neck melded into his shoulder. Following, he would attempt to rotate his body into his opponent, rocketing his right fist into an arc that would end somewhere at X's face. .....Consequently, this first true clash of two fighters should end in being a nice trade-off of hits, leaving both opponents knowing that other's level of seriousness.

"Muay Thai…" The title shot through his mind, the neutral stance was a dead give away. Though X was unsure if his opponent was trained in Muay Boran as well as the traditional Muay Thai, his posture was aged to perfection and the thought was not beyond reason. Even when the hammer gone, his attack remained unchanged as he charged forward.
His thrust to grab missed horribly when Aurorions hand thrust out and landed on firm on his jacket. The stuffing gave way as stuffing should and his hand found substance just beneath. His neck felt like normal flesh, but his shoulder was stiff, sturdier, bulkier then the neck, like a second skin beneath his jacket; but he only had a moment before his hand was removed.
As the holy warriors fist came down to strike the masked fighter, his left arm that had originally been raised to block a blow from the now vacant hammer shifted to catch his strike at the forearm, twist it and pull it down to his side. Almost simultaneously, his right hand pulled back and wrapped over the grasping hand on his shoulder. Curling his fingers up under Tritions palm, X pressed sternly against its center as he rotated his own hand back, effectively prying it from his body, to pull it down to his side as well. Had all gone according to plan, Aurorion would now be held in a position never before seen in a Muay Thai fight, with both of his arms being twisted painfully in the wrong directions, and a flurry of ‘Muay Thai’ style knees strikes being delivered to his left side.

.....As his fist crashed upon a defensive arm, Aurorion thought of how to switch gears. But, in a fluid motion, X had rotated Aurorion's striking apendage outwtd and lowers it to his own side. Simultaneously, Aurorion's left hand had been grasped and twisted and pinned in the same fashion. .....Aurorion had quickly formulated an escape plan, but not so quickly as to avoid a couple knees; two blows had landed successfully upon Aurorion's left side. No matter that this man had an undersized lower build in comparison to his upper body, a knee was a knee and those hurt. .....Aurorion had no choice but to suck up the pain and grind his teeth together. .....His arms suddenly tensing as he swung into action - literally, on a scale - Aurorion used X's own upper body strength to support himself. After the second strike of the knee against his body, Aurorion would whip his left left onto X's right just as it was pulled back in preparation for yet another strike. Tensing his arms and bracing his left leg, Auroriom ripped his body upward. His left leg would remain planted on whatever part of X's body it had found - hopefully, the hamstring of his right leg - as his own right leg was brought knee-first, straightening out at a sluggish rate, in order to meet his right foot with X's chin, or somewhere thereabouts. .....Of course, his flip had truly been intended to right the wrong that had been done to his arms; in mid-air, as his arms were returned to their natural positions, he would attempt to take hold of X's wrists. Landing from the flip, Aurorion would take a mere second to send in yet another strong attack; pulling X toward him and simultaneously creating a catapult for his own body, Aurorion would rocket himself head-first into X's gut.

As his opponent rocketed into the air in front of him, X felt a sharp pain as a foot contacted his chin. The thrust from a leg pushing against his own had pulled him forward off balance, and even after pulling his head back as far as he could, it still wasn't far enough to dodge the blow. Instinctively letting go of Trition he started to stumble back, he was yanked forward again only moments later as he felt two hands grasp his wrists.
As he was pulled forward again, he saw the head butt aimed squarely for his stomach. Tightening his abs and pulling his left foot back to brace, he made no attempt to dodge the blow. As it landed reflex kicked in and he found himself bending forward over his opponent, who was probably in for a painful surprise. As the crown of Aurorions head met with the his stomach, he would clearly feel that second skin protecting X. With his abs tight behind it, the high-tension material would feel like a texturized metal bulkhead.
The blow had landed a little higher then he'd expected, and even with a 'metal wall' between the blow and his solar plexus, he still found himself hard of breathing. With his arms still held, even with his opponent in such an open position, there was little he could do; but taking a que from the headstrong holy warrior, X rose his head high and using every muscle from his abs to his neck whipped his head down to strike. With his forehead aimed squarely at the third and fourth vertebrae, his strike held enough force to dent the granite floor beneath them.

.....His head bashing into the metallic barrier, Aurorion had probably just sustained a deal of damage near to what he had dealt to his opponent. Perhaps not as devastating a manner, but still a fair amount; his vision darkened at the edges as the pain lanced through his cranium. However, keeping focused as he could, Aurorion kept with his momentum; having successfully landed his headstrong blow, Aurorion had meant to continue forward and to topple his opponent from his base. .....Despite the pain, it's not as if it could increase via continuation. .....Pushing forward hard as he might, and moving his arms to wrap about the hams of his opponent, Aurorion fought like a madman to move his opponent back. However, something wasn't quite right; as he pushed forward, he could feel his head slipping down his opponent's frontside as X's top half attempted to rush down upon Aurorion. Bracing his legs quickly, hands still grasping X's hamstrings, Aurorion applied pressure opposite to X's downward rush, his head still strong against the apex of X's chest cavity. Almost, it was as if Aurorion was attempting to lift his opponent from the floor. Surely, his teeth were gnashing together tight enough and every inch of muscle throughout his body straining enough in order to give off the impression. .....Perhaps such a thought wasn't too farfetched?

The simple attempt X made at a counter was thrown off as his opponent continued forward. His own downward force from the start of his counter made him an easy lift. Though his upper body was large, it didn’t seem to be very massive; a fact that could be partially contributed the synthetic down fibers that gave his jacket a strong ‘poof’ effect, the same ones Aurorions head would pass by as it crossed the singed hole his holy light had made in the front of the jacket.
As X rose into the air, he stumbled upon an enlightening fact: His arms had been freed. The white orbs in his mask turned in to symbols of joy, not only were his arms free, but he had an unobstructed shot to his opponents back! Given the speed at which he’s seen his opponent move up to this moment, he was almost sure that he’d get in a free full-force shot before he could be thrown asunder or hit with a suplex; this kind of shot would be like a gift from god.
He grasped the base Aurorions neck from behind with his left hand. His thumb and middle fingers would land firmly on the pair of muscles running down the opposing sides of his neck and the sudden constriction of his grip would likely send off a shooting pain. Though the pain would be a bonus, the hand plant was mainly to steady X in case Trition tried to throw him away or mount an attack of his own as X threw down his strike. Pulling his right arm back, he shot a single strong blow down on Aurorions left Trapezius muscle, on the top of his shoulder, to try to numb his arm in an attempt to escape this airborne grapple.

.....As his opponent lifted rather easily into the air, Aurorion was pleased; the outcome of this clash was turning in his favor. He had a firm grip 'pon the back of X's hamstrings, and his opponent was now helpless in mid-air... .....Or so thought Aurorion. .....There was a single factor that had escaped Aurorion's mind in this clash, but a one of particular magnitude: X now had both hands free. .....Leaping back into his mind as X gripped his neck Aurorion became sullenly aware of his fatal mistake. Though, as X gripped so would Aurorion; both his hands tensed in a desperate fight to rend as horrific scratches as possible into the back of X's legs, even through whatever materials may be there. He knew he had to do something, and quickly. .....Widening his stance, Aurorion threw his left leg forward and planted it. Simultaneously, he realigned his neck in a diagonal manner, so the left of his face and his left shoulder would be in contact with X's sternum. .....Aurorion carried on his forward momentum. .....As X's fist rained down upon Aurorion's back, a spasm roared through his left arm, loosening the grip he left upon X's right leg. However, due to the new positioning of his left shoulder against X's sternum, X's body would be held as Aurorion began his arcing descent, and thusly X's. Holding X's legs close to him and simultaneously keeping his head and shoulder against X's body, Aurorion not only fell but pulled himself downward; he braced for a crash landing. .....Wearying from the exertion his body had taken thus far, Aurorion welcomed the approach of the arena floor; throwing in all his weight and strength, he slammed X back-first into the broken and battered tiles, easily providing enough force to crater the structure even further.
