Also, since when can't you add yourself as your own friend?

You haven't been able to add yourself as a friend for a long time. I think they changed it when they updated the friends' list awhile ago, I'm not quite sure when, though. They had at least changed it by October 19th, 2006.

That was changed when they made it you could have over 100 friends in your friends list.
