It is a much darker movie than the first, and, being Batman, that is a very good thing. Several times during the movie it seems like you've reached the climax, but it just keeps going and keeps getting better. Sometimes with popular movies you expect too much out of the sequel and just end up disappointed. This movie exceeded my expectations. A Must See! Go see it.....In four days when it comes out! lol

The movie was amazing! There were parts I thought were too dark, but for a good reason. It was amazing how exciting, confusing, and really philosophical it was. Really, really good.

That movie was really good. Heath Ledger did an amazing job as joker sad thing him dying and all, It surprised me how good it was. I just thought it would be just an ordinary movie, got a little bit excited from hearing what some friends had to say about it after going to the midnight showing.

It was really dark and intense. I was on the edge of the seat the entire time. Heath Ledger was so amazing. He stole the entire show, which is a lot coming from me, because I beyond adore Christian Bale. I also thought that Maggie Gyllenhaal was a BIG step up from Katie Holmes as Rachel.
I did have some problems with how intense it was, and I was close to crying by the end because it was hard for me to take. I don't know if I'm a wimp, if I was feeling super sensitive when I saw it, or if it was just that dark. But a lot of people die or get hurt in intense ways, and there's a lot of mind games, which I think got to me. It's hard for me to watch people face their deaths/the deaths of loved ones and feel completely hopeless about it, which seemed to happen a lot in the movie. It was also really long, and after a while I was ready for it to end. I really did enjoy the movie, but I don't know that it's one I'd watch many times.
Also, I'm now freaked out by pencils. Haha. Not really, but it took me a long time to get over the "magic trick". Holy cow.

Shinikaze It was freakin' awesome. I love the job Heath Ledger did with the Joker. I agree. In the past the Joker was just this criminal, but in the comics (and in Ledger's performance) he's this genius. I loved it.

Samantha_Grey Here is a rebuttal review of the movie by a friend of mine http://meridianmagazine.com/arts/080807knight.html Wow. Wow wow WOW!!! (redundant, but oh well). I loved this article, it was amazing! And I agree with all of it. I didn't hear about that whole personal scene of Christian Dale (don't often keep up with Celebrity News, as I believe everyone is intitled to a private life), but I am impressed at how seriously he defended his wife. And the movie definately was full of moral and philosophical questions. The boat scene amazed me and my friend so, so much. Wow.
