I was wondering what most people think. The only reason I'm really for it is if one of them is on their death bed and the rules of the hospital,is family only, their lover can not come in and say goodbye because they are not considered family!!!!! THATS HORRIBLE!!!!
Anyway Im gay, and don't really want to be married, but I think those who want it should be able to have it.

The angels, not half so happy in heaven, Went envying her and me- The wind came out of the cloud by night, Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee.Even if a church won't accept their vows before God, a gay couple should be allowed the right to be married under law and receive all the same benefits and taxes of heterosexual couples. A couple's a couple. If they're legal citizens who pay their taxes, there is no reason they should be denied the right to marry. And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side Of my darling- my darling- my life and my bride, In her tomb by the sounding sea.

I'm for it. Gay people are just like us, exept for a different taste.
There is nothing bad of them, tehy're human just like us and we can't remove rights just for that.

Hmm... I think everybody's pretty much come up with the best reasons. The only reason the other side of NOT letting gay marriage happen is because of what's considered moral. All of it is simply based on religion, not fact, not truth, not reality, or even just people. I have religion myself, but I really doubt God's going to throw you to hell simply because your body and mind reacts to the same sex.

Here's my thing... why would they want it? sweatdrop I'm not much for marriage period. That's just me. I can see in certain instances where this isn't the case but it seems like a lot of "I can't have it and I want it." A friend of mine was screaming about how unfair - I'll be damned if I can't marry ______! A few months later they aren't even together so now he's screaming about how unfair he can't marry ________! Please don't misconstrue my meaning. Heterosexual couples are just as fickle. The so called sanctity of marriage is DEAD divorce papers are a few flights of stairs and a short wait in line away and everyone knows it.
People treat it like "the next step" or a way to "seal the deal" which is ridiculous. If you need a piece of paper to assure you of something... well how sad is that? Speaking of paper... put another line on the medical form that reads partner/significant other and if you write in their name they have every right to visit.

I'm all for equality. Homosexuals and Heterosexuals should have the same amount of rights. It's pathetic to worry about what someone else decides to do with their lives and to deprive them of equal privledges because their choices make you nervous. It's THEIR lives. Get over it.

I'm all for it! Not because I'm lesbian, no. But I think it's wrong that two people can't be maried just because they're the same gender. I especially think it's wrong here in America, seeing as it's supposed to be the freest country in the world! But in all honesty, I'd much rather spend my life without being married. I like being home alone.

I find that VERY wrong!

Im kind of against gay marriage now, but more for gay partnership with a little bit different rights than marriage. If you want to know more, I expressed it in the debate forum.

I'm one of those middle-of-the-roaders. I see both ways. I just don't really like it being called "marriage". "Union" is preferable to me. They're people too, just like the rest of us. Just a little different in some ways, but still people.
