Description
Fruits Basket is the story of a young high-school girl, Honda Tohru. Having lost her mother in a car accident, she has come to live alone in a tent in the forest near her school. Never a quitter, she strives to honor her mother's memory and work hard to do the best she can with her life.
One day, she happens across a house in the woods, not far from her makeshift abode. The residents, Sohma Yuki and his cousin Shigure, aren't total strangers. Sohma is the coolest guy at Tohru's school!
Will the chance encounter lead to new friendships, and perhaps, a new romance? Why all the talk of the Chinese Zodiac? Why is the title "Fruits Basket"?

I really liked the Anime, and the Manga, but what I thought was weird was when Tohru would cry... It was just like a flood!
Especially the ending... I really thought... Never mind...

I love fruits basket!! I have read all the manga and own the anime. Haru is my favorite character! he is just awesome like that!

I like the Kyo Tohru paring though....thought the girl that Yuki ends up with kinda seems random...it feels like the author added her in at the last second.

"Wait....wait a minute please? I haven't read the manga. And I haven't seen all of the episodes. So...Yuki ends up with another woman? Who ends up with Kyo?" Thinks a bit. "I have no idea why it is called Fruit's Basket. All I know is that I was born in the year of the Horse." XD "My guess though would be because fruit baskets contian different fruit and every character in the series has a different personality."

srry! I think its called Fruits basket because all the members of the Zodiac are like the fruit and Tohru is the rice ball.....like in the story when she was a kid....you hear the story when she goes back to her grandpa's house then Kyo and Yuki pick her up....do I make any sense??

YEAH! i love fruits basket!!! i've ready most except the last few which i cant get my hands on!! i love momiji and haru (its funny when he goes black)! i've watched some on youtube but can some1 plz tell me what channel its on?

Well I don't know if it was ever on TV. I have a set of the dvds and so do a few of my friends so thats how I watched the anime...I think u will have to do w/ youtube for now. If anyone wants a link to the manga scans I have one that actually works!

Well, Fruits Basket was on TV a few years ago, so I doubt that it's still ongoing. I don't have th DVD sets, but read most of the MANGA. xD I really hate how Yuki ends up with the other girl so easily... Grrrrrrrrrrr...

I don't have th DVD sets, but read most of the MANGA. xD I really hate how Yuki ends up with the other girl so easily... Grrrrrrrrrrr... Yeah it kinda seemed last minute, but I kinda like that pairing...though he could have always ended up w/ someone else cause he did go off to college.

Yes!! And it's weird how Kyo turns into that weird, deformed monster. It's just like, "Um... That doesn't normally happen to cats..."

lol that's true (I have 4 cats, and NONE of them transformed into a strange creature O.o)
I have to say, I've read a lot of manga series and Fruits Basket just tops them all (well almost all.... I like FullMetal Alchemist better XD). The storyline and the characters are awesome!
The anime was good too, but I was disappointed that it only went up to 26 episodes. I think that was because it didn't follow the manga near the end XP

Yeah none of my cats have ever transformed either....oh well.
And I also agree, I think the anime should have gone on longer and followed the storyline a little more.

Hehe I love fruits basket. I think Haru and Kyo are my favourites along with the little bunny kid ^^ but I like them all. I haven't seen it all but I read most of this forum and am happy that Kyo gets Tohru
