Personally I tried the 4th Ed stuff and found a few things that I enjoy about it but overall I really don't like this new Edition and stand by my theory that it's just another way for WOTC to try to rip off gamers with a worse product.

Well, it's like my DM said: You have to go in with a blank slate. It's a total overhall of the mechanical. Personally, I like it. I actually use my class features now, and they feel 'heroic' without being unbalanced. There are a few minor things in places, but it's a good game. I know my GM likes it far better than 3.5. You need an 'prefer 4.0' option. I don't swear by it like it's my Bible, but I'd rather play it over 3.5. Despite how much more stuff I have for 3.5

do have an option that says that 4.0 is better than 3.5 (It's the first one) but personally I think that yes you can feel more heroic at low levels but to me if I DM right my players feel that way no matter what game we play. Also I if you were a fighter in 3.5 and weren't using your feats I'm not surprised you didn't feel heroic the idea of the fighter was to give him feats that would make him able to walk up to anything and hack it into peices quick. but many people were to lazy to utilize the feats that they took.

I think that 4e is an improvement overall. But I do miss some of the old classes, I'll like 4e so much better once they release a PHB 2.

What do you like about 4th ED? personally I perfer 3.5 but I'm interested in other people's opinions on the matter

Me myself, I prefer 3.5. My main problem with 4.0 is the simplification of things. While it does help a wider audience to understand, a lot of features ane sacrificed for this simplicity

 myself, its all good, but i miss the Half-Orc, sad to see him go. in 3.5 i had an intelligent half-orc Ranger Bowmaster. i am working on a Tiefling Rogue now.

well i hate the fact they got rid of druid and bard. But the new race Dragon born is awsome.

there were dragonborn in 3.5 (races of dragon) sure they weren't a core race but you know what I let so much stuff go as a DM that it's not even funny. All you needed ws a Dm willing to let you play as one.

No Bards? KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN
WHERE ARE THE GNOMES
Knock takes 10 minutes to cast?

Yeah, I think that they will improve the game a lot, make it much more exciting and involving, etc.

Well, to be fair, that is a legitimate marketing strategy, and they are a company that's designed to make money. And was there really a 3D Dungeon generator/Online D&D Playing program for 3.5? I never heard anything about it.
