Mist kept on running until the sun had risen again. She hadn't gotten far fore she kept turning back every now and again. Nothing that could ever happen to her would be painful then that. Suddenly Mist heard snarling. Turning around she saw 3 full grown wolves looming above her. they clearly wanted a fight. "Get out of here." She growled. Nothing happened for 5 seconds. They stood there motionless as the tension cracking in the air.
Bam.
One of the wolves jumped on her and the fight began.

Achan. He couldn't take it. The nervousness. As he had stalked away and out of the Bones' Pack's territory, all he could think about was Mist. He knew that he was a rogue, and couldn't be with Mist, but... he just had to try. He had to. He had, after leaving the territory, turned around and run back. He ran, tracking down the smell of Mist, the sweet, lingering scent. He had followed it, and he still was. It was a long trail. Mist had gotten far.

Mist threw off her attacker and attacked another only to be clawed by the third wolf. Soon two wolves pinned her down while the last one was raking down her back. She clawed at the three wolves, but they barely flinched. Within a heartbeat the last wolf reaching down to bite her throat. "Achan!" Mist screamed as she felt the hot breath of the wolf's mouth.

Achan paused. What was that... that... screaming? He ran forward, faster, faster... until... "Mist!" Achan's blood turned cold. Three larger wolves were attacking Mist. Mist wasn't even a full-grown wolf! Achan's blood boiled at the thought of it all. Why would anyone attack Mist when she was so... so sweet?

Mist turned and saw Achan standing there. Her heart burst with happiness as she saw him. He had come.

"Mist!" Achan exclaimed again, coming back to life. He bounded into action. The wolf who had been bitten by Mist was still howling in pain, so he took advantage of this. Achan ran over to him, coming up behind him. He then leapt forward, tearing at one of the wolf's ears. He tore off a small piece of flesh, then clawed his back, pulling tufts of fur out. How dare he try to kill Mist?!

Mist clawed at one of the wolves holding her down and managed to get a foothold. Her claws extended as she leaped onto one of the wolves' back and claw at their eyes. Eventually the wolf was howling and bounded away. That meant two wolves were left. One for her one for him. Her heart thumped as she glanced in Achan and his wolve's direction. He was winning. That was good. she turned back to her wolf and stood on her hind-legs clawing at its face.

This felt good, Achan thought, fighting beside Mist felt... right. Blood spurted out of the wound he had left on the wolf he was handling. He scrambled off it's back swiftly, then smiled at Mist. Bending his head down quickly he bit down on the foe's tail - hard. The taste of warm blood seeped into Achan's mouth and he promptly let go, sending the now pitiful-looking wolf running off, whimpering. He had won. He turned to Mist, not worrying anymore. She could handle herself. He knew.

Mist smiled at him then turned back to her wolf. Grabbing it's ear she pulled it to the ground. There she clawed at it's back leaving blood to spurt out everywhere. That's for my wound. She let the wolf get up and as it ran she bit down on one of it's three tails, leaving it a scar to remember her by. Slowly she walked up to Achan. "Thanks." She murmured.

Achan looked into Mist's eyes, ignoring her thanks. "Why'd you run?" He questioned her, wanting, really, truly, to know the answer. Why had she run? Fear? Emotional distress? Whatever it was, he wanted to know.

"I... I don't know..." She replied painfully looking into his eyes. She didn't know why she ran. There were mixtures of emotion when she ran away from him. None of which she could express in words.

Achan searched Mist's eyes, hoping to find a real answer, but came out empty-handed. She didn't have a real answer because she simply did not know, and this wasn't enough for Achan. He needed answers, but what was he to do if there was no answer? He sighed and licked her nose, swiping it over with his tiny pink tongue. A sign of clear affection. But, would it mean something to her? Of course it would! Doubts floated about Achan's mind, but he pushed them all away. I love you, she had said. And that was enough.

Mist looked at him and thought to herself. There could be only one solution to all their problems. He had to join the Bones' Pack. It was the only way. "Achan..." She mrumured. "There's only one way this could work. And that is... If you join the Bones' Pack." It was the only way, right?

Achan looked taken aback. "Join the Bones' Pack?" His eyes widened. "That or you run away with me..." He mumbled, knowing it would never happen. She was indebted to the Bones' Pack. They had taken her in when she was only a young pup and molded her into what she was today. "Mist..." He sighed. He didn't want to do it. The life of a rogue was for him.
