ok literally jst watched TSE and WHAT???
that wasnt quite the reuinion we were expecting...well except my dad who instanctly said 'Dalek' when they ran to each other.
but is he really regenerating..or is there going to be a huge twist somewhere?
i shall write more when less wired frm watching it!!

I was sure Tennant had signed up for the specials in 2009. My theory is that that's why we didn't get any kind of vision of the new Doctor, as something's going to go a bit funky and he'll still be Ten/nant.
As for the Key, it's got to be important. They wouldn't have made it seem so significant otherwise. Why did Jack not take Gwen/Ianto with him though! Seems very strange.

As i'm not a big Catherine Tate fan i missed 50% of this series...i was hopeing you would explain more...sorry for being ignorant but I really would love you to update and inform me.

It's not a normal regeneration. There's speculation going around that he won't regenerate in the way we all know, but instead, the hand he lost in The Christmas Invasion will play a role in replenishing his cells to the already current form, or maybe even produce a second Doctor for the last episode.
The whole idea came up when some pictures taken on site of filming from a fan brought to light the fact that The Doctor wears both his blue suit in one shot, and his brown suit in another, surprisingly on the same filming location.
There was a really good speculation site that I can no longer find that detailed this whole idea. Sorry I don't remember anything other than it had Gallifrey in it.

actually another thought - we've had something/-one else pulled out from the Time War now (HOW many now!?), so really, if they did bring Gallifrey (or at least it's inhabitants) back then it wouldn't surprise me...
