Welcome all to the return of Dominion Feather: Nine Ball Ultimate's playground. There's a couch in the back. There are drinks by the bar. There is milk for the underage. There will be a working television one day. All I ask is you leave the big robot in the back alone. He gets antsy. So stay for the mediocre/semi decent art and enjoy.

9 Minutes of Fame
Karite and Orika sharing a passionate kiss. With the new year in Shima and new couples arising who will be the next to share a tender moment. I'm voting on Nara Kolo and Raiken Akemi.

Requests
I'll try out the requests thing since I've never tried it before. If you really want something just ask and we'll see what can be done. I only take 3 Requests at a time, but that may change depending on the amount of work for a picture. I guess with the requests thing there comes prices? Well I don't know how much my art is worth, but lets give it a try.
Chibis
Head/ Head and Upper Body: 300-600g Full Body: 500-800g Lineart: 900-1500g (this also counts for Full Body pix) Color: 1000-2000g
Normal:
Head/ Head and Upper Body: 500-800g Full Body: 1000-2000g Lineart: 1500-4000g Color: 2000-5000g
Prices may differ depending on complexity of the pic, the background (if wanted), and number of characters. I'll try and stick by that rule of thumb though. If you want to know why line and color jump so far its because a) my favorite inking pen is running out of steam and b) inking takes a long time by hand. Especially black and white pix. I'm probably not going to do any full black and white requests at the moment. Here are some examples of each.

Notes
Some notes will be where I answer questions in the thread and talk about the pic that will be up. It’ll usually be one pic at a time. Feel free to critique it. The picture I choose will either be random or one of the newest ones. Not sure what else to put up in this post for now. We’ll see where it goes.

A trial run picture for perhaps a baddie in the future. My main use of this pic for today is for everyone to ask themselves: How do you go about with character creation? Are your characters drawn first or can you see them in your head easily? Do you need to see them physically first before filling in detail about their lives or do the details and name come before the actual picture. A picture like this is usually the first step in my character creations. I usually draw a picture first with the clothing design, attitude of the character and any other distinguishing traits without doing any additional research. After that I tend to look up designs from fashion websites for clothing while doing quick stick figures of the character to get a feel for how he/she/it moves. My second of character creation looks like a somewhat typical one where you draw the character in front, back and profile positions with different angles of their head and face while pointing out certain characteristics. Ryuudan gives me a lot of trouble since I am still trying to design his tri shot crossbow. It still needs a high-tech and slightly bulky feel while at the same time still belonging to the time line of Shima. Also the position of the launchers for the crossbow as well as his hand movements with it are/will be a pain to do. Maybe one of you can give me good ideas for a crossbow design.

Aw, look at so many of us together... So cute! 4laugh
I have two critiques:
1) A few of heads (Shisei and Tanu the most) seem tilted to the side. Is that on purpose? It looks a little strange..
2) Just because I noticed my own character first (even I have my vain moments), her hood seems uneven, though that could be from the fur.
On happier notes, I like it so much! It gives me a better visual of us all... And I realized I'm the only academy student with freckles, judging from this picture. sweatdrop And I don't even have them in real life, how ironic is that?

Thank you for stopping by and giving me a critique Eva. It is greatly appreciated ^^. I agree with you on the head tilts. Shisei was supposed to have his tilted. Tanu wasn't supposed to. I didn't notice it till after I inked the picture crying . I wasn't too thrilled with how I drew Tanu in this picture. I'll have to get Opal a nice colored pic of Tanu now lol.
With Naoki for some reason when I've drawn her I always make one of the hood ends a little longer or slanted to hide one of her eyes. One of the first pics I did of Naoki, but wasn't pleased with the full outcome had her with the hood blocking one eye and the sharingan activated in the visible eye. I think that image kind of stuck with me.
I think everyone has some ironic fact about their characters. As of right now Shisei is the youngest character in Shima, but I'm probably one of the oldest in the guild ^^.

Niiice man.. really nice loved the cover like drawings specially the student ones!
you really should try to do one with all the new students. I know you said you didnt like where it was going but it actually gets up the feeling of the place... also the colord one of the urt and heal crew looks great i think is my favorite yet!
and you just helped me to decide something. Inever chose where to wear the Shima headband but your drawing of Seshiro was well thougth.. the thing on the waiste was cool!

Thanks ^^. I'm still trying to do one with all the academy students, but there are a lot of them. I alos want to get more of a feel for the newest ones first. I may do one with all the genin or chuunin/jounin first. Or I may just break them up in groups of four and five.

Katz I love it!
It's pretty good, just that the hair could be thinner and have a more 'flowy' feel to it..The way Serena's head is turned is a bit strange to me, but other than that, it's great! I can't wait to see it when it's completed biggrin
