So, I've decided to start a list of christian movies... because some of them are really good, but don't seem very well publicized, and so not many people (including myself) even know about them... If someone wants me to, I'll post a brief description of the movies, but I think IMDB can do that job for me... =p (if you see "(recommended by ...)" next to a movie, it means I have not personally seen the movie, and hence cannot vouch for it) Newer Movies: Apostle, The (knuckles9585) Bad Lieutenant (joekuslow2 cool Chronicles of Narnia, The: Prince CaspianChronicles of Narnia, The: The Lion, The Witch, and The WardrobeEmissary, The: A Biblical Epic (knuckles9585) End of the Spear (recommended by Lyndis) Facing the Giants (Vondra) Left Behind (Urim Park) Nativity Story, The (knuckles9585) One Night with the King (knuckles9585) Passion of the Christ, The (Urim Park) Second Chance, TheSin Eater, TheTime Changer (Vondra) Walk to Remember, A (Aisai24) Older Movies: Ben-Hur (Dragonbait) Cross & The Switchblade, theIn Search of ... (Dragonbait) Jesus of Nazareth (recommended by Mark Bishop) Ten Commandments, The (Dragonbait)

There are alot of older & perhaps harder to find christian movies out there that are just great. Yesterday I watched one on King David. Jesus of Nazereth is one of my favorites.

For Jesus of Nazareth the link is http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075520/Not sure of the exact title for the other movie I mentioned since I didn't see the very beginning. I'll have to do some research for the version I watched.

I've actually seen a few Christian movies out there... (I'll post the links to the description when I have time, but for now I'll post the names of the movies for memory's sake. ^^ )
Time Changer Facing the Giants (I haven't seen it, but I've heard that it's very good. Someone actually found the movie on youtube.)

As heretical as it may seem at first glance, The Last Temptation is actually an amazing piece.

Miriam of the Tower As heretical as it may seem at first glance, The Last Temptation is actually an amazing piece. An amazing piece, yes, but it bears as much resemblance to the Gospel version of Christ as a can of mixed nuts bears to the local loony bin, sad to say. There's definitely some interesting bits in it, but I personally couldn't consider it a "Christian movie". More of a glimpse into a mind slipping towards insanity, so an interesting case study ... but again, that's only my opinion. For those who don't mind a little borderline heresy, though, I'd recommend The Cotton Patch Gospel. Jesus born not in Bethlehem in Judea, but in Gainesville, Georgia, when Herod was governor in Atlanta. I'll forever remember Jesus's "prayer" at the wedding feast of Cana. " Oh, Daddy. You send me down here with the simple task of saving the world, and I end up playing bartender."

It is rather Gnostic I'll grant you. wink Quote: For those who don't mind a little borderline heresy, though, I'd recommend The Cotton Patch Gospel. Oh, I fully agree, but by the same token, "God is not mocked". History is full of people who made fun of Him, and realized too late the error of their ways. Personally, I enjoy this movie/play (a one-man play with redneck greek chorus, released on home video) and see nothing wrong with it, but I figure it's only fair to give warning in case there's some here who ... eh, may not have quite the same standards regarding humor and propriety.
