The park was a casual meeting spot for most people. It’s well kept green lawns stretched on for ever, and the sandboxes, monkey bars and play equipment were a fancy attraction to children wishing to play, or teenagers who just needed some place to hang out and appear as if they were doing nothing immoral. It was a free source of entertainment, except for when the ice-cream van drove around, where parents could dump their children freely and let them run amuck without the possibility or crashing into a wall or breaking the vase Aunt Gladice had sent over from her trip to England or France or whatever country she would show the family on her next slide show.
Couples roamed about hand in hand, on feet, skates or bicycles. Laughing as a dog ran across the path and one of them narrowly missed hitting the poor animal, and falling onto the pavement. But even if one did trip or stumble, the partner was there to offer a smile and hand of help to get up. This was the precise reason Ryo had been so keen to come to the park when his date of the day suggested it. The park was probably one of the most cost efficient and effective ways to show a girl a good time. Which was why he was so utterly disappointed when she failed to turn up. Ryo hung the phone up, flipping it closed with a slightly outraged arrogance. She had blown him off! That’s what she’d done! And he had come all the way down to the park just to meet up, what a waste of a Sunday.
The park was a wonderful place to be today. The sun was at its peak, but a cooling wind blew in from the westward direction, cooling down anyone who occupied the green grass and metal playground. Occasionally a cloud or two would even pass over and provide some shade.
Ryo was of course, far too preoccupied dealing with his current predicament, than to be marvelling at the natural surrounds he was in. It irked him how some girl could just drop him like that, even as he waited for her at the destination she had picked out. His head rolled into his hands, as he cussed silently for not double checking their plans that morning. The whole situation could have been avoided if he had just rung up. Then she would have gotten the chance to tell him she couldn’t come and he might have been able to spend the day being more productive. Like with Sandra or Kelly or one of the other girls he was dating at the moment. At least he wasn’t home like Kurio was, wrapped up with trying to figure out the mystery of that egg thing Ryo had brought home. It was like some sort of who-dun-it book to the blonde, and Ryo just wasn’t into that sort of thing.
He shook his own white hair from side to side, thinking of calling one of the other numbers on his phone and inviting them to the park, just to have some company.
A small lake glistened at the back of the park, sending sun rays crashing into Ryo’s eyes, and he held his hand up to block them from sending him blind. Damn light. Why was it so glittering and dancing when all his thoughts were of brooding self scolding.

Oh, how Cindy had missed the park. She hadn't thought about it for the longest time, but now that there seemed to be a light at the end of her tunnel of loneliness, a stroll through sounded wonderful.
It was a place where most let their troubles slip away, if only for a few brief hours. There was no risk of her family spotting her, since all of them were lazy slobs anyways. They couldn't understand... They wouldn't understand. There was more things than just sitcoms and soap operas... And making others miserable.
"History’s made its mark in anger. As everybody knows, it's what we do, It's nothing new.."
She sang, or more like whispered, as she followed the sidewalk to nowhere. Today was a special treat for the world. Today, she wore color. A lime green and white cat hat, a lime green shirt (that was tighter than she liked, but wore it anyways for the sake of matching), her usual black pants, and a pair of pink and black sneakers. Not that she still wasn't a site, she just didn't look like a woman from one of those late night horror shows.
"The next chords struck are fault and failure. And we both know that finger points on cue. There’s blame for two."
Though, there was indeed something... Strange. On her back, she carried a small black backpack/purse. It wasn't zipped all the way... And sticking out of it were a pair of little floating wings. One would assume they were on there by wire. And well, she was a weirdo. Weirdo's do that, right?
Her eyes beheld the lake as she was beginning to walk past. Her feet stopped dead in her tracks, and so did her soft singing. "Mmm.." She mumbled to herself and walked closer, crouching right next to the water and staring into her own reflection.
She gave a smirk. "Long time no see."

Ryo lowered his hand as a shadow stepped directly in front of the sunbeam, and stopped it from reflecting into his eyes as it had been doing. He was now able to see properly again and identified the reason why. A woman was stooped down low, next to the lake.
Her dress was...unusual to say the least. But her kind act, weather she knew of it or not, would have made him believe her a saint no matter what she looked like. Ryo was a bit over dramatic like that.
“Hey!” He called out to her. A few of the jogging couples looked at him in annoyance for disturbing whatever song they had playing through their music piece, ear phones.
He knew his voice wouldn’t carry over, and promptly got up to give her his thanks within hearing distance. A sleaze and flirt, yes. But ungrateful he was not. Or at least, not to anyone except Kurios.
Ryo walked over to her, stopping just a few feet short so that she didn’t think of him as some weirdo villain guy who was about to come whisk her away. Not that she could comment much on what was strange or not. You could see that by just looking.
He waved a hand down at her and gave one of his cheesy grins. A lot of the girls he dates said it was cute, and he hopped it was true. ‘Just being Friendly’ He reminded himself.
“Thanks,” He said. As if she would know what he was thanking her for. “That light was really bugging me something chronic,” He added, failing to notice himself that in coming over to thank her, he had moved into another light beam, and was once more holding his hand up to block it out.

Cindy hadn't paid attention to the first 'hey'. Call it a built in defense against unwanted attention. She simply continued staring into the water... Into her own blue eyes. It was somewhat hypnotizing.
She did, however, hear the thanks from right behind. A quick glance over the shoulder proved that it was, indeed, aimed in her direction. She stood up and turned around to face him. Thanks? Thanks for what? What light? As her head turned to try and figure that out, a nice little sunbeam hit her in the eye. Oh. That light.
"Y-you're welcome?" Her face showed nothing but the upmost curiousness and even surprise. But in her mind, she was wondering what kind of man thanked a person for lending him a shadow? Or maybe he was looking for an excuse. Yeah. That cheesy grin... He was up to something. But hell, they were in a crowded area right now, so for now she could rest easy.

He didn’t question the curiosity in her voice. He was used to that. People now a days just didn’t have as much appreciation for manners anymore, and although he may appear as someone who didn’t know a please from a thank you, Ryo was always complimented on his manners.
But now that he had thanked her, there was little else to do. His idea of planning ahead was picking up a phone and asking if someone wanted to do something right then and there, ASAP. Any other event was usually planned by someone else, and he just showed up at the right time on the right day.
Most of the time. It was common for him to say he would be in two places at once and then just go to one of the two events. Only to be questioned later by the other party in an agitated and not so pleased tone of voice.
Ryo looked around, noticing that she wasn’t with anyone in particular. “You’re by yourself at the park?” he said in reply while continuing his search for the ‘maybe boyfriend’ who had wondered over to get her a flower or something sweet like that. “I’d hate to be interrupting some sort of date or whatever you might have going,” Though he couldn’t locate anyone who stood out.
Of course, he didn’t even chance to think about how creepy that must have sounded. Nice young girl, tall-ish man, asking if she’s alone. Nope, didn’t consider that at all.
He was just a nice guy thanking her for blocking the sun. The same way a driver might thank another driver for letting him turn into a busy street. But they didn’t have any hand signals for ‘thanks for blocking that sun from my eyes’ so, seeing as they weren’t in a car. Talking seemed the best thing.

Well, that was a question that seemed to confirm her earlier suspicions. By herself? Technically, she wasn't. But she'd look like more of a lunatic than he did right now if she said "No, I have a talking egg in my purse. I'm totally not alone."
Cindy couldn't help but let out a little laugh at the mention of a 'date'. "Oh heaven's no." It was funny, because she'd never actually been on one. She'd avoided the dating scene completely growing up. Or, to better phrase it, the dating scene avoided her.
... That wasn't to say she never wanted to go on a date. In all honesty, the lack of interest made her more than a little self conscious. Though, she tried not to show it.
"Ah, I'm sorry about that.." She hadn't meant to sound rude, even though she probably came off that way. "Dates aren't exactly my forte. Hearing my name and 'date' in the same sentence would probably bring on the apocalypse. Just ask my-" Family. She was about to say family. She stopped mid sentence and sighed, her expression immediately dulling.
"N-nevermind that. The point is, I am indeed alone at the park today."

Ryo’s expression took on one of unsure curiosity as she seemed to laugh at his mention o her going out with someone, listening intently as she continued. And then as soon as she began talking, she stopped. Right on the end of her sentence, trailing off. Dang, now he had to weary of what he talked of. Friends, , family, other boyfriends, schools. Things which usually made for a great conversation starter.
So using it as a safety net, he switched to the previous topic. “No need to apologise,” He insisted. “A lot of people aren’t comfortable with going out with others. It’s a nerve wracking pool of humiliation…for some,” He added slyly, hinting that he himself was not grouped in with them.
He could see why one or two suitors might be turned off by her unusual dress, It was definitely eye catching, but perhaps not in the right way.
“Why have you come to the park then?” He asked in honest interest, trying not to seem the prying type. That was Kurios’s job. But it was hard not to be drawn to the girl with the Lime green outfit coordination.

Cindy raised an eyebrow at the voiced suggestion. He sure didn't seem like the type who had problems getting dates. But then again, for all she knew, he was a serial killer and she was his next victim.
"I just needed a breather. Can't stay cooped up in my apartment forever." She replied to his question.
Though, in reality, she'd wanted to take her egg somewhere special. She didn't think it could see, But was pretty sure it could feel... And perhaps this guy hanging around her wasn't the best situation. She didn't get the same vibe that she got off of Mir. That sense of unspoken trust. But hey, he was a guy. She didn't trust many guys to begin with.
"And, might I ask, why you've come out to the park?" A simple question for the line of them she'd been asked. Not like he couldn't lie. But it'd make her feel a little more secure to be hanging with a complete stranger.
The exposed wings gave a few rough flaps. She froze up and peered back at them. Hopefully he'd been too preoccupied with answering her question to notice.

Ryo paused inquisitively as the girl raised one of her small brows at him in a small arch skywards, she seemed to be thinking something about him. From the gesture, he gathered it was probably not so much a good thought which inhabited her judgment, and he wasn’t sure what to make of it. It made him question her reasons for coming to the park, It was after all, not out of the question for human nature to lie.
Thinking back over the conversation thus far, some her actions had indeed seemed…off. Was perhaps some unknown problem at home the cause of this, and not something here at the park? Whatever it was, he was sure she would not wish to talk of it, and dropped the idea in its entirety from his train of thought, pulling away from the station hurriedly. In time to catch her question which was similar to what he had just asked of her.
Ryo let out a rather disheartened sigh, as always, being slightly over dramatic in his theatrics. He shoves his hands into the front pockets of his jeans dejectedly, the same way a thirteen year old might do when they were rejected by their crush of the week. However the result on a full grown man, made it seem almost comical. “dumped,” He said, putting all his crushed ambitions into his words. “Had a date, she pulled out. And now I’m stuck waiting here until my date was meant to be over so Kurio doesn’t think that I’m some loser who was stood u-ahhh! What is that!?,” Ryo suddenly seemed to double back, surprised rather thoroughly by the sudden movement in the girl’s backpack.
His arms took a suddenly defensive position, as if about to hold off some sort of attacker. He was onto her now, this young, innocent enough looking girl, was one of those psycho maniacs who went about parks and attacked unsuspecting joggers and the like! She must have been using that reverse phycology bit. Dressing to stand out to make her seem less likely to be one of them, because what kind decent kidnapper would wear something so striking, and then she lured him over by performing acts of kindness. He froze up, not knowing what a clue to do in these situations. He was stock still, frozen in anxiety.
Whatever it was, it had been dark, black and sharp looking. It had twitched, so maybe it was one of this Swiss blade knives, and it had fallen loose from it’s nook. Clearly he would nee to act somewhat intelligently. He swallowed heavily, looking for the right thing to say to his would-be attacker.
“What is tha…which is to ask could you show m…,” He tried again, thinking it through more clearly. “ The thing, in your bag. Would you care to…show it to me?” He said. Somehow retaining a regularity to his voice regardless of how anxious he felt, while his brain kept trying to tell him he was acting like a baby.

Cindy listened to his answer nervously. She watched his body language and felt two different things at the same time. Disbelief and utter pity. Disbelief because it all seemed like one big act. And utter pity because, if he really did act like this all the time, he was probably worse off than she was.
Then her fears were realized. He had indeed noticed. And seemed to be taking it a lot worse than she'd hoped. She froze up, eyes widening. Her hands straight down her sides. What was he gonna do to her now? He looked like he was ready to lunge. Oh God, she'd set off some subconscious trigger that made him go crazy. That must be it. This guy was normal until you scared him!
"H-hold on now..." She tried to say calmly. This could only end up badly. Though, she supposed she could always say that the egg was just a toy and she was a crazy collector or some rediculous rubbish like that. Ever so carefully, she pulled the straps off of her shoulders and lifted it into plain view. Her fingers twitched slightly as she unzipped what little there was, and lowered the flap so he could clearly see it was just an egg.
The egg, being exposed from it's comfortable cradle, gave a few more flaps of the little wings. Perhaps it was excited to meet another new person, or perhaps it was agitated. "See? It's not gonna kill you..." She mumbled with a forced giggle.

Ryo was sceptic as the woman reached down into her bag, it was one thing to just see the dangerous weapon, but if she actually brought it out, he was well and truly with out any hope at all. His nervousness was almost enough to make him ran off, when she opened the bag in it’s entirety. Inside it held no knife, no blunt chainsaw, not even a pair of scissors. It was just a small, round oval. Smooth on all sides, bar the moderately sized red jewel which gleamed under the rays of the white light which founds its way onto the faces of the cut rock that seemed melded into the shell. It was an egg.
A pair of black, sharp wings flapped buoyantly as it came into his view, it felt as if the egg was in fact looking of some sorts, and the wings were it’s way of saying hello. He gave what one would assume was a laugh at her confirmation that it would not kill him, but it came out a bit too heavily from the dryness in his throat which had unknown to him, shown up in his brief moment of shock and fear. “It’s an egg,” He stated heavily to show it wasn’t a question. “Like…like the one I gave, Kurios. The one I have,” He finished.
It was different, very different from the one the woman at the club had given him, but similarities could definitely be forged between the two eggs. Such as the oddness of colour, which most eggs did not have, the sizes were almost the same, and the ostentatious patterns was just a few to name. But what was most obvious in the similarities was the levitating wings which held on invisibly to the side of the egg. Ryo distinctly remembered the wings which had been on the night time egg he had received. They were white and light weight, feathery to touch. These ones looked almost dragon like in appearance, dark and slightly leathery, like thin skeletal veins were running underneath the shadowy flesh. He resisted the urge to pick up the egg and settled with looking back at the girl.
“What was you’re name again?” He asked, thinking perhaps it was wise to make note of the strange lime green clad girl who also held one of these strange eggs. After all, it would be a very good thing, to know someone who also had gained the same problem as them. Perhaps she might hold answers, be able to explain things a bit more. Perhaps she could tell them why it had been given to them, or what they should do with it. Kurios would no doubt applaud him for finding her out, making some form of contact with others in the same situation. It meant he would be kept in good light for awhile, and it was always an advantage to be on the good side of the man paying the rent after all.

(( OOC: The wings are the same color as the egg, btw. ))
The second he mentioned having one similar, Cindy let out a huge sigh of relief. "My name's Cindy." Though she knew she hadn't mentioned it to him before. Well hell, it didn't matter. "And it's good to hear that more people have gotten these eggs." First she'd met the woman called Mir, and now this guy.
But it seemed like she was the only one to carry hers around everywhere. Was it that crazy of an aspect to take an egg everywhere you went as if it was a child? Sure as hell looked like it. Though, a guy carrying around an egg would be a lot... Weirder.
"But... Before we get into a massive discussion about these things, can we sit down somewhere?" She was getting tired of standing, and if this was going to go about as it did with Mir, she wanted to rest her legs. Her arms wrapped around her purse that held the egg somewhat protectively. She still wasn't 100 percent sure about this guy, so caution was definitely in order.

Ryo nodded vigorously, so Cindy did know about the egg. “Ryo,” He said, in response. It seemed that the small blue one they had wasn’t the only one a its kind, and he felt a sense of relief at this information. Now there was someone else he might be able to learn from.
Respectfully, he agreed to take a seat, locating the nearest park bench. He sat down on the wooden seat, and look towards the woman with even more intensity than he had before. If she, for some reason, knew anything of this egg, he would endeavour to find out how far that knowledge delved and secure it in his own thoughts.
He took a purposeful breath, trying tot think of what he should say. Drawing a blank, he simply said the first thing which had crossed his mind when he saw it. “It’s not the same type of egg, that we have,” He began. “Kurios and myself that is. I’m staying at his place ‘till I can find somewhere of my own,” he informed, just to give her an idea who ‘we’ was.

Ryo. That was quite the interesting name he had. At least, interesting enough that she hadn't found anyone with the same name yet.
She gracefully sat down next to him, giving enough space so they didn't look like a couple to any passersby. She looked at him, his gaze seemed as if he was trying to burn a hole through her head and get into her mind. She listened to him curiously as he explained the situation. Kurios was also quite a name. Where did these guys come from?
"I bet it has different types of wings, doesn't it? Like more bird-ish?" She was probably leading him on to suggest that she had quite the knowledge of these things, but that was okay. She enjoyed feeling important every once in awhile.

Ryo wasn’t surprised that she knew what type of wings the other egg had, she probably could have told him almost anything and wouldn’t have questioned her too much. After all, she had more knowledge than he did over these things, so it seemed to him. He nodded again, showing she was correct. He didn’t bother asking how she knew.
“The woman who gave you the egg. Did you happen to get anything other than her name?” His questioned, curios if Cindy knew anymore about the woman with red hair who had given him the egg. Clearly he was under the delusion that all eggs were received in this way.
