From the reception banquet, the participants pass through the Disperse Halo and once again their bodies are dissembled to be no heavier than molecules of air. Each one has prepared arduously for this moment and now has the opportunity to test their strength and skill against a diversity of warriors from all corners of the world. Round One has begun.
The first round’s stage has been set. Standing silent and isolated from all civilization is a coliseum in likeness of Roman architecture. Enclosing the interior are stone stands that wrap around in a full circle for spectators to look down into a pit traditionally designed to force outcastes, slaves, and prisoners into blood-sport. However, unlike the days of old, this ring will be used to honor respected warriors of all trades as they strive to prove their worth to the world. The floor of the pit falls 30 feet from the lowest stand, its boundaries marked off by the giant wall of stone that surrounds it. However, situated nicely inside of this round stadium rises a large platform standing 25 feet high. This large block is fed by two stairways: one on the east and the other on the western edges. Its surface shimmers with a lustrous black color whose sparkle threatens to distract the eyes of the contestants under a bright sun. The stone material is known as Kachine and is recorded to be the densest substance in the known universe. From edge to edge the ring spans 50 feet and is divided into ten rows and columns of five-foot squares with a slightly indented groove running between them.
Onto this stage falls a large ring almost as large as the square ring it descends upon. This large circle of red and black energy drops at a steady pace, revealing what looks like two different sets of hair. As it reaches ever closer to the ring floor, two identifiable beings come into existence, one being the samurai known as Hasamoto Konosuke, and the other recognized as the Holy swordsman Aurorion Trition. The warriors stand 20 feet apart, each man ten feet from the center. All around them there appears to be any number of onlookers, but these figures are long since petrified stone mannequins. Their purpose would be made clear to one with magnified vision, who would notice the tiny cameras positioned where a normal person’s eyes would be. Each dummy was constructed accurately in order to for the real spectators to observe from a safe distance.
Silence rests all around the two warriors, the only two people left on Earth it would seem. Only they, their opponent, and the ring exist. The battle is underway.
~Ring Courtesy of Carl Elynwood Before either contestant begins, please prepare an entrance post of your own to indicate you are prepared to start and once again roll a 20 sided die via post action. Whoever rolls the higher number will be responsible for the initial fight post. All warriors are advised to keep count of the number of posts because no post after the specified limit will be considered for the tournament. One method is to include the post number every time your character makes a move. At this moment, all profiles have been pulled and will be forwarded to the judges. If at any point your character does something not clearly specified in your profile, you will be asked to edit the post or be disqualified. Good luck to you, and may the fight begin.

[Reception Area] Hasamoto had smiled at Red as she had assisted him in dressing properly once again. True, he had been caught a bit unawares, but one also had to remember he had never dealt with beings like this KenoTao before, who could quite literally appear out of thin air, and transport him elsewhere. Still, he was thankful for her assistance.
The samurai had gotten a good fill when he was circling the tables before, and only ate a bit more bread and drank water while the roster was posted and the Locker Room was opened. He couldn't help but grin, as it had been a long time since he had battled for sport, and not training or for survival. Konosuke smiled at the kitsune lady before him, and took the plate from her hand, returning it quickly to a table. Even his blind eye twinkled merrily at her upon his return.
"This one doesn't plan on getting caught, Red-dono. With any luck, we'll be meeting in the finals. Good luck, be safe." With a slight bow to her, the man turned away, reaching into his hakama and pulling out a red cover for his left eye. With practiced skill, he slipped it on and straightened his ponytail, gripping his two blades as he entered the Disperse Halo.
[Arena] He felt like he was floating in pitch darkness for a moment, before the weight of his body returned to him, and the black veil over his eye was slowly pulled down. An interesting place to start, to say the least. high above the ground on a pillar that was the battle ground, and surrounded by a still crowd. There was no cheering, no movement, so Kono quickly came to the conclusion that the people really weren't that.
His haori sleeves fluttered slightly in the breeze, his left one much more than his right, his green-black hair also being played with. Lifting his right hand, Hasamoto held it before him and bowed. "I am honored. May luck be with us both."
With that, he unsheathed his two katanas that hung at his right hip and slightly behind his waist. What might be odd to some, it that he placed on blades grip between his teeth, the blade itself facing towards his left. The second was held firmly in his right hand, poised and ready for battle.

.....Likewise to his opponent, Aurorion Trition entered an all new area just as before; forced to change position by some external force of considerable power. However, this time, Aurorion was a good deal more prepared for the means of transportation. .....As his eyes were reassembled, Aurorion could finally make out his opponent; nothing too spectacular that jumped out at him immediately. 'The battle will show any of those, most assuredly,' remarked Aurorion to himself. 'Just await it.' .....Lips parted across the expanse of arena, and a welcoming gesture of friendliness, for which Aurorion was more than appreciative, was shown. "Likewise," Aurorion said softly, his voice carrying across the space fluidly. .....Blue eyes darted to hands which moved swiftly; signs of battle preparation. Feeling it his duty to match his opposition, Aurorion's right arm extended, fingers splayed wide as if a crushed arachnid. Holy energies swirled forth from the ball joint of his elbow and extended in three spiraling tendrils to connect firmly to his palm, from which they bounced forth another two-and-a-half feet, forming what appeared to be a weapon. ....."Lustria." .....As the energies slowed their swirling procession and compacted, melded by the force which willed them into solid materials, a warhammer of considerable girth was now resting upon Aurorion's palm, angled downward. He gripped it, the handle familiar to this hand, and the heavy stone fell the foot, perhaps, it had been floating at to slam into the stadium floors with surprising force. ....."Shall we give the crowd a show?" Aurorion asked, having not yet noticed the true state of the figures aligned in the rows and rows of stadium seating above them.

Most interesting. Most interesting indeed. To materialize a giant of a warhammer out of thin air meant that his opponent was much more than a mere human, if one at all. He would be a challenge to say the least, but each weapon had it's pros and cons. They would just have to discover each others.
Unable to speak with the katana Sakura between his teeth, Konosuke merely nodded in response to Aurorion's query, a faint glimpse of a smile hinted at his lips around the grip. It seemed that he would be the one to start off this match, not something he was fond of doing, but would do so anyways. It was always the most obvious move, but once battle was commenced, it would matter little.
Still, it was always best to start with a swift attack. So it might seem strange to those watching when Kono twisted his body with the right side facing front, and sheathed his Lotus blade. He stood perfectly still for a moment, his single blue eye analyzing his opponent, his stance, his attitude, the way his body spoke. Yes, it would be a most interesting match.
The samurai suddenly dashed forwards, his wooden sandals clacking against the black surface of the ring, quickly closing the twenty-foot gap between the two men in about 5 swift steps. Once he was within about three feet of Aurorion, Hasamoto slammed his right foot down to brace his body, as he rapidly unsheathed Lotus from his waist with his right hand. A carefully practiced form of Battojutsu, it sped up the already swift blade two or three times more, turning it into a blur of metal that an unwary eye would miss.

.....[OoC]: "Well, I can't wait for a response from you, Bamboo. LOL Not to be a douche... but I'd rather post without the necessary info than get eliminated. Not my fault, but I'll be nice and edit if you wish..."
.....'Never rush,' Aurorion thought; he always remembered the basics of fighting. Rushing was a major no-no right off the bat, especially against an unknown opponent. .....As Hasamoto rushed forward, closing the distance rapidly, Aurorion would wait until the last few seconds before Lotus was unsheathed. At about four feet's difference between their two positions, Aurorion brought Lustria up in a swift tug to point straight at the rushing samurai. Simultaneously, he would unleash the handle to its fullest extent so it would blast out into the attacker's chest with an explosive spring-loaded force. His arm would bend slightly at the elbow from the concussive blow, but it would stand extended as much as possible. .....If the samurai's rush somehow changed due to precognition or other type of preemptive warning, so would Aurorion's defensive maneuver as it was a direct reaction.

Hasamoto had never taken his eye off of his foe, and even while unsheathing Lotus, he could see the tension in Aurorion's body building as he prepared a counter attack. The use of Battojutsu pulled the samurai's body around with immense momentum, twisting his body sideways to the man and his warhammer so that Kono's right side faced him.
Using the taunt muscles in his braced right leg, the samurai launched himself upwards from the ground. It was just a few feet, but swiftly curling his legs in brought his body above the intended strike range of the hammer. Since Aurorion held it rather in place, Kono used it as his landing pad, wooden sandals clunking against the metal.
Swiftly bending down slightly, Kono aimed the butt of Lotus at the man's forehead, his teeth clenching Sakura tighter in preparation of defense. One does not rely on a weapon in battle, but on their body. A weapon is only an extension of the body in the end.

.....[OoC]: "Once more, I can not wait any longer for a reply regarding the slight misunderstanding in regards to your post..."
.....Just as Hasamoto bent to deliver Aurorion a smart blow to the temple with the butt-end of Lotus - Aurorion wondered at how this was to happen from atop the warhammer's stone which was held aloft four feet from him - Aurorion wrenched his weapon-holding hand back across his chest, leaving Hasamoto to fall either to his feet or his back. .....Whilst stepping backwards two swift steps for defensive purposes, Aurorion's left arm was brought across his lower abdomen. His left hand unclenched itself and the palm was exposed, from which was expelled a fiery blast of holy energies which would scald the skin of those it touched within mere moments. It would be like a breath of more-than-uncomfortable air, rather than actual flames which would engulf Hasamoto. .....With his right side facing his opponent, arms criss-crossed before his body, and some seven feet between the two, Aurorion awaited the consequences of his actions.
