[insert jake/kalan "cover image here]

The sea it swells like a sore head and the night it is aching
Two lovers lie with no sheets on their bed
And the day it is breaking

On rainy days we'd go swimming out
On rainy days swimming in the sound
On rainy days we'd go swimming out

You're in my mind all of the time
I know that's not enough
If the sky can crack there must be someway back
For love and only love

Electrical Storm
Electrical Storm
Baby don't cry

Car alarm won't let you back to sleep
You're kept awake dreaming someone else's dream
Coffee is cold but it'll get you through
Compromise that's nothing new to you.
Let's see colours that have never been seen
Let's go to places no one else has been

You're in my mind all of the time
I know that's not enough
Well if the sky can crack there must be someway back
To love and only love

Electrical storm
Electrical storm
Electrical storm
Baby don't cry

User ImageIt was the hottest it had ever been since Kalan came to be at the Mountain. The pressure in the air was overwhelming.

It was going to storm.

He had abandoned his guardian a ways back, he just didn't enjoy being around it. Too much of a remder of.. Of what he was cast away from. Paradise. Kalan had existed in Paradise before everything happened. And it was all his fault. If he hadn't tempted him...

No, stop getting yourself worked up, he thought. It wasn't worth it anymore.

It had been nearly a year since his exile. Kalan had been here for almost a year. And he accomplished nothing. He hadn't even really met anyone or interacted with the others who lived here. He prefered to just go off on his own, like now.

Thunder crashed above him.

Kalan stopped walking and looked behind him. The cabin was no longer in sight, he must've been walking for about an hour without realizing it. There was no way he was going to make it back before the rains came.

Surely enough, they followed the next crash of thunder and Kalan put his wings over his head to try and stay somewhat dry. Ahead of him was a large tree, big enough for him to stay under until the storm passed.

He shook his wings off and sat down, staring out over the moutain. At least he could use them for something, if he couldn't fly with them anymore. Just one of the wonderful things that comes from exile, he thought bitterly. The other... he looked to his wrist, was still absent. He had it.

After a few minutes, the heat was starting to become unbearable. Kalan didn't notice it while he was walking because of how caught up in his thoughts he was. He removed his two outer layers of clothing and and folded them up as best as he could with paws. He felt awkward sitting around in a t-shirt without anything over it, but it didn't matter. He was unsure as to why he even kept wearing the clothing. It's not like he needed it anymore, being covered head to toe in fur now... But old habits die hard.

Speaking of old habits...

"Stop trying to sneak up on me, Jacob. I can tell when you're there."

User Image"I'm flattered, really."

Jacob was laying down against the trunk of the tree, grinning like the madman he was. Kalan didn't reply, but Jacob really wasn't expecting him to. "So what's your deal, Sunshine? Your A came to find me and said that you ditched him."

By "A" he was refering to the other kitsu's guardian. They were used as forms of communication between Heaven and Hell, so it was easy for the A to locate Jacob.

"I left D with him and said that I'd come find you."

Kalan ignored him. Just like him as of late, the demon thought. Before this whole mess happened he was glad to see me.

"Not speaking to me? Are you sore that I still have your halo? I don't see why you care, it's not like it's active or anything anymore." He flicked the halo that was hung around one of his horns. It'd been there for a few months, ever since he stole it for fun one day. He was really hoping that with it gone, Kalan would start to get over his past.

But by the look of things, that wasn't happening anytime soon. Kalan just sat there and stared out at nothing

"Come on Curls, stop being such a whiny little kid and do something with your existance for a change. You're stuck here, make the best of it."

"I'm stuck here because of you. I don't want to talk to you, Jacob."

"Excuse me?" Jacob growled, getting to his feet. "I'm sorry Curls, but did I just hear you say that your problems are my fault?"

Lightning flashed overhead and the rain started to fall harder. Kalan cursed his luck, if he wanted to stay dry there was no way he was getting out of this situation anytime soon.

"Jacob, just drop it, okay?"

"No, I won't 'drop it,' Sunshine. I fail to see how YOU getting yourself exiled is MY fault. You're the one who ran away. And the last time I checked, what happened between us wasn't exactly one-sided."

Kalan continued to stare, watching as rain drop after raindrop hit the ground. Jacob was making him more and more angry with each word he spoke. "It was a mistake. You and me, all of it."

"Don't give me that bullshit, Kalan. You're just saying it to make yourself feel better."

Kalan paused. Jacob usually never called him by his actual name, just by nicknames and the odd girl's name here and there. He turned his head to look at the demon over his shoulder.

"Glad to have you with us finally." Jacob muttered. "It's time for us to talk. Now, I'm sorry that you're stuck here, but you can't go around blaming me for it. I was only interested in you, which apparently is a sin in your backwards shithole that you call Paradise."

"I don't want to hear this, Jacob." Kalan said, turning around again.

"Well you're ******** going to hear this." He grabbed him by the shoulders and spun him around by force. "Like it or not I'm the only one here that knows and understands what happened to you and I'm the only one you can talk to. So you're going to listen until I finish what I have to say."

Kalan's eyes widened briefly before he looked to the ground again, hoping that Jacob didn't notice.

But he did.
