Ok it's possible that this is only because I'm on my 11 day of work in a row but every little thing is stressing me out. I'm really trying to get enough sleep but getting out of bed is still killer every morning. I'm seriously considering quitting my weekend job at the castle. But I know that most of the time I love it and it's just stupid things that are pissing me off right now. Plus we could still really use the money.

So... discuss:
How to deal with stress
How to deal with sleep deprivation

Well, obviously the first thing you want to do is relieve the stress that you're having so it's not as hard. Just take one day at a time. And when I say that, I really mean it. Do one day, then the next, then the next. Give yourself something to look forward to. For example, when people diet they might look forward to that candy bar at the end of the month. So, look forward to something. Maybe like a bathe or something.

Take some time off just to think and do nothing, if you can. Try not to do anything too streneous. Get support from your fiance, snuggling is always nice.

Not much you can really do except get as much sleep as you can. Make sure you eat food and not just candy and sugar so you have long lasting energy.

whee Food is a good idea! The cafeteria job is nice because they will let me eat anything I want. But I'm still bad for eating the chocolate. Thanks though Butter. I appreciate it.

Carbs is another big thing too. Carbs come and go. So, chips and crackers and such. All that stuff is for us high school students who like to cram. 3nodding Dude, free-food benefits. 3nodding It's no problem, always willing to help.

Well definitely down to it you have to manage time.. if the job is destroying you this much.. try to make it so you don't have as many hours.. like still enough to make money but not so many hours that it will kill you.

Second how to deal with stress.. do something you like to do... if you like making crafts then do that more.. if you like reading then read more.. if you like walking or hiking then do that more... basically that kind of idea. That always helps...

Third the sleep thing.. it helps if you just lay down until you feel sleepy... your mind is racing with all these thoughts that are getting you to not sleep... which makes you toss and turn.. so just kind of lay down and relax... it seems hectic and yeah you wont' fall asleep admediately, but you will fall asleep and after a while your body will adjust to that... so that you can get sleep again.

Thanks sky. I think I am going to do a little more reading. The only way to reduce my hours is to quit one job and sadly I won't be able to support us. I think this is just one of those venty ranty days. Thank you.

I honestly have never had much of a problem with sleep deprivation, but this site might help with the stress somewhat:

www.meditationcenter.com

It's been a while since I posted that link somewhere. It can help if you try it, and it is easier than you might think that it is.

To deal with stress you could try making an hour of you time everyday. In that hour you do whatever you want. Whatever you friend relaxing, it varies from person to person. Personally I love reading a good book while drinking hot chocolate. This way you have something to look forward to daily and if you take your you time near the end of the day it might relax you for being able to get a good nights sleep. You might find once you stop stressing out you will automaticlly get more/better sleep.

Yeah well.. What I do, not saying that its fully a bright idea is:

I sit.
Talk.
Take a breather.
And cry.
And think about your life and what the ******** hell is ******** pissing you the ******** off!!!! *%($)&W

Get some water.
Sit down.
Take a brether.

Either A: Go to sleep. Or B: Play a game.

And C is take a shower.
Yeahmm welcome to my stress management corse.

Poor Chalda crying

Stress can be awfully hard. My suggestion to you is to prioritize your life. I know that Matt and you are the most important (or should be), so let's put that at number one. Then, you should look for your own well-being, so put Chalda at #2. Now, being the greedy little b*****d that I am, I'll put myself at #3. Sure, money is nice, but it isn't the world, so put it at #4. Everything else comes after. So, if you feel like you're neglecting other important parts in your life, you should make a change. Sure, it's nice to have money, but Kate and I have learned time and time again that when push comes to shove, we can survive financial tightness. I'd rather be poor and happy than rich and alone.

Plus, good jobs come up all of the time.

blaugh Aww you know you are number one in my book. If things do get bad I know I will have to sacrifice one or the other but for now I think I'm doing ok. I know that money isn't anything and of course I would much rather be happy then rich. Tightness is fine we have been doing that for a few years now. No money at all is a bit more of a problem now. I'm looking forward to the good jobs in a few years.
