Hello there guild members. As the announcement foreshadows, there will soon be a guild wide tournament. Why? For the celebration of summer of course. For those of you who have been around for a while, you are already painfully aware that your guild captain has deserted Gaia for months at a time because of this little thing called higher education. BUT NO MORE!!!
As an official alumnus of the university, I now have many options ahead of me. For now I've decided to take a year off. I'm tired and really don't want to jump straight into things right away. Because of that however, I also have a lot of time on my hands to get more involved with the guild than I have been in a long, long time. And what better way to celebrate than with a tournament?
Right now, the tournament is still under construction, but what I need right now is a head count of how many people are planning to participate. The bracket is currently set at 16, but I am willing to allow for as many as 32 contestants who will compete for the year long title of "Champion of Shadows".
The number of people may not seem important, but it really is, so any and all members interested post in this thread so that I know how to set this up. I will provide as many roles as possible for you, especially if you cannot actually participate in combat. I have many things that need to be done and the more people involved, the better for the tournament now and the guild at large.

I shall participate if I have the time for it; it usually varies.
However, I am merely a human in RP and I like to keep things realisitic, so I'd get beat hands down, lol.
I am a good judge of character and big words though. razz
A judge would be more fitting, although I am not up there with Deity or the rest of the old poops who are on Gaia all the time. xP

I'd love to join in. Need an idea of when it starts, though. I have a lot coming up around the beginning of this summer, the largest being a week-long absence, and I also have to set aside some time for bio completion, since I assume people will want some type of profile up here.
Even if I can't participate directly, due to time constraints or whatever else, I'd like to be involved. Heck, if all else fails, I'll be a spectator.

I would very much like to join. I, too, am in the same position as Kythe, though, and need to know an estimated time to execution of this tournament's beginning, as I may be out-and-about for periods of time, depending upon the time of summer.
This summer holds a myriad of activites...

You guys have a point about needing to know when the tournament will start. Right now I'm looking to get things rolling in the beginning of June, which means no later than the 7th. It all really depends on how many people truly want to get involved though, because right now we're only have about half of the required number of participants. Once we hit 16, I'll give you guys more information.
