User ImageThis was the first time Rioge had stepped outside the protection of the Unseelie court. The wide-open sky was above him, clouds lazily drifting through the ocean of blue; their counterparts were reflected on the lake, their shapes distorted slightly by the rippling water. Araran breathed in the fresh air; it was invigorating to get outside again. He’d spent the last couple of weeks inside looking after Rioge’s egg and now that Rioge had hatched he thought it would be nice for him to take the young Ashe out to see the lake as it was an especially nice day.

Rioge seemed to be enjoying himself. He was a little ahead of his adopted father. Sticking to the path that wound around the edge of the lake, inquisitively poking new plants that he’d never seen before and occasionally getting startled whenever a bird flew over his head. Everything was so new and he had to try and take it all in at once. His toy cat was clutched loosely in his hand; it’s long legs bouncing on the floor, it’s paws slowly getting muddier and muddier. Araran was going to say something but didn’t want to nag; it was Rioge’s first day out and he wanted it to be perfect. A loose glamour was over the pair of them, dulling Rioge’s hair to a human brown, removing his own faerie features; his wings and replacing his chin spikes with human chin piercings making him look like a bit of a punk, but punk was better than faerie… If a human saw them they’d be in big trouble. But still Araran was tempted to make off the glamour; it made him feel hot and stuffy, like a thin layer of spider webs clung around his lower jaw.

”Rioge? What’ve you got there?” He asked, gesturing to the boy for him to come closer and show him whatever he was holding. Rioge obliged and came closer, standing a few feet in front of his dad happily holding a flower out, a toothy grin upon his face. ”Look, it’s pretty! Blue like my hair.” the child exclaimed holding the flower up to his hair to compare it. But giggled when he realised the glamour had changed his hair colour. ”Oh silly me, my hair’s not the same at the moment. I’ll show you later, kay?” He smiled and pressed the flower into his father’s hand before running off ahead startling a couple of birds into flight from their trees.

[ Is your guardian a human of faerie Seph? I'll get Araran to drop his glamour if you want? That way they can either be: "OMG your not wearing glamour?!" or "OMG YOU'VE GOT WINGS!" ]
