This is Sebastet's place. A simple tavern where the drinks flow and the company is pleasant. Sebastet runs the place with a smile and an easy going attitude, but don't Upset her. It could be the last thing you ever do.

It is a simple place, tables and chairs around the main room, stools at the bar, benches around the large fireplace, and a staircase leading upstairs. There are two other floors to the tavern, rooms for rent by the week or just the night are on the second floor. Sebastet's quarters are on the third floor, entrance by invitation only....

There is a fighting arena out back. Make certain to use that area for fighting, not the Tavern itself. Tht would upset Sebastet....

Sebastet came down the stairs and into the tavern, giving a grin to her bartender who smiled back at her.

She moved to the door and turned the sign in the window, then unlocked the inner door and opened it, latching it back against the wall. Then she unlatched the outer doors, letting them swing a bit. She'd installed old-west style doors for the outer ones. Just like they used in the old saloons.

She'd liked the effect. And she and her staff could see who was coming in before they entered the tavern itself. It helped to keep things in proper order in her place.

She stepped through the doors and inhaled the sweet night air outside with a grin. Things were looking good... Now all she needed was were some customers...

Sebastet moved back into the tavern and motioned for one of the girls to wipe the tables down. She them walked slowly over to the fireplace, lighting it with a look as she took a chair and shifted it so that she could look at the room and the fire at the same time.....

Liette smiled as he walked towards the door of the tavern. He opened his arms out to greet his dear friend Sebastet, as she was standing near the doorway

"How are you on this day dear Sebastet?" he spoke in a soft tone, very much like the clothes he wore, very much like his body, very much like him. He loved being soft and elegant. It was one thing that he had learnt while he had spent all his time alive. Soft and elegant, was pleasing to most.

Sebastet smiled as she moved over and returned his greeting, 'Liette, how are you tonight?" she asked him softly, her voice carrying it's usual hint of a purr.

"Your usual tonight?" she added as she lead him over to his usual table, motioning to the bartender to bring Liette's usual drink and one of her own....

"The usual indeed.", he replied as he followed her, settling down at the table and nodding at the bartender with a smile when the drinks were served. He had loved this tavern and had been a long time regular. He looked around again, taking in the sights and sounds from within that always attracted him back, almost like a bee to flowers. He sighed with a smile on his face and gently rested himeself on his chair, finally relaxing.

Sebastet smiled at him softly, "It'll get busy in here in a bit, and you can enjoy yourself then. But tell me what you're up to otherwise, Liette...," she suggested to him softly.

She sat back in her chair, one arm over the back of it as she lifted her glass to her lips and tilted the chair back on two legs a bit.

She was every inch the fighter she was before she opened the tavern, and her stance just then showed it...

Liette took a swig of his drink and sighed.

"I worry about this town sometimes Sebastet. I would hate to see it suffer the fate other civilisations before me have. Eventually they were all too foolhardy to survive and thrive anymore. Its like a limithas almost always been reached. Pitiable really, here we have the council trying to strive to save this city from sharing that same fate. Hence I worry."

The walk was warmer an sticker than she would have liked but the woman dealt with it. The very thought of a nice cold drink was sufficient power to keep her moving. Stopping before the tavern she frequented, she pushed the door open and smiled at the sights and smells that collided with her delicate face.

Inhaling and stepping into the cool building, she slid over to her usual table and took to people watching until the familiar waitress came and asked if she'd take her usual.

"Please...and maybe some bread to chew on." Smiling brightly up at the woman, Aleara's eyes flickered between the faces of the other occupants of the tavern.

Leaning back in the booth, she closed her eyes and exhaled.

Sebastet shook her head at him, "You would worry about such things, Liette... Perhaps someday you will find your Utopia and be as happy as a lark on a sunny day. But I do hope that you will learn to be happy in the life you have in the moment. Until then, I'll keep hoping for ir...," she teased him just a bit as she watched first a cloaked man walk in, then Cassius walk in and take a seat in the back...

So many coming into her humble tavern tonight....

Was she lucky? Or cursed? Only time would tell her the truth of it....

Liette had already been distracted when he noticed Aleara walking in earlier, and had stopped listening by the time he noticed Cassius follow another man in and take a seat in another corner of the tavern. He always thought it strange that the senate never rallied together in the tavern. It was almost fascinating for him to study how his colleagues behaved within and outside of the chambers.

He smiled wryle as he caught Sebastet's glance again and understood what was going through her mind.

"Patronage leads to self-esteem, I believe. he spoke in almost a riddle-like fashion.

With food and drink before her, Aleara drifted off into a dreamlike state as her mind wandered to ever place it possible could. Her lips moved silently between small sips and tiny nibbles. Eyes distant and face relaxed, the woman was well aware of her surroundings despite appearances.

"Mmmmmm..." Loosing a small sigh, her pale pink lips parted slightly as she pushed another small drink past her lips.

Watching the casual conversations the surrounded her, she was acutely aware of any and all looks that where absentmindedly or consciously sent he way.

Cold like ice ;
I can fight back in the cruelest way

Frost was sitting as far away from Liette and Sebastet as possible. Sebastet knew his face, he kept his head down as he drank his drink. The last thing he needed was a confrontation with Sebastet. He heard the door open and the sea creature come in. Was he following him? The creature didn't look like an authoritative figure but best not tempt his luck in enemy grounds.

He continued to ignore the creature, he had no time to deal with petty insults. He had his drink refilled and he downed it. He thought of Isabella and wondered if he had made it safely into the council yet.

He was sure she had, she can handle herself after all.

Liette watched as the man tried hard to hide himself from Sebastet. He had paid little attention to him, until Casius had followed in after him. Casuis ofcourse had only one thing on his mind and Liette knew that well, how he hated it when Casius would begin acting so vainly and that too in puiblic.

His attention however had been diverted, when he noticed the man making a conscious effort to not look towards his table.

He wondered if he had seen him somewhere. Whether he was an order from the Gods that Liette had'nt finisehd yet. He watched closely observing the man for a while...

Cassius ignored the man he'd passed earlier. Ignored him on purpose.

He smiled at teh barmaid that brought over his drink, grinning as she left with a beautiful blush covering her features.

He raised his glass in a toast to Liette and Sebastet, knowing full well that it would worry Liette...

He had few true pleasures in his life right now, so he took pleasure where he could. And worrying Liette was a small pleasure that he could have at any time in the angels presence.

Sebastet gave a small sigh and returned Cassius' toast with her own glass and leaned back in her chair again. She noticed Liette's gaze and looked at the man that wouldn't look at them.

She nodded at Liette, she already knew who it was. She would know Frost anywhere now... When someone tries to kill you for years... You never forget what they look like... or even the feel in the air when they're around...

And Frost loved his cold too much not to use it practically all of the time....

But she was simply going to keep an unobtrusive eye on him for now. She nodded to Aleara as she enjoyed her drink, then promptly ignored her. If she'd wanted Sebastet's attention, she would have come over to her. So tonight she simply wanted a little peace and to listen to the other patrons in the tavern. That was fine with Sebastet...

She smiled at Liette, "Yes, tonight's patronage is going to lead to alot of self-esteem tonight...," she said softly before taking another drink from her dark glass....
