So, I got bored.
I re-read the magna.
And..

I think that perhaps the Zurgs were probing cows because cows are part of the Energy Drink, Zurg, ingredients? And not to mention, Mother introduced herself in the Halloween Annual Bash Party saying she's the maker of the Zurg energy drink.
And, the Zurg energy drink came into stores after they probed some cows when they first arrived huh? o_o;;

. . . So.. Perhaps cows are part of Zurg ingredients? So maybe that is why they were here? Or because of the energy blast?

Ah yes, the energy detonation. One of the greatest plot Fubars of our time.
If I may... and this is a particularly icky theory, but I theorize that the zurg energy drink is in fact the waste products of a zurg who has drunk milk. Milk is a delicious and intoxicating substance to the zurg, however, much like humans, their system cannot fully digest the dairy product.
How the Zurg excreet this byproduct that could possibly be the drink... well it could be zurg sweat, or more... unsettling juices.
That, my friends, is my particular theory. After all, the zurg seem to act erratically and a bit drunk any time they've been around cows.
