Ok so I bring you a very rough outline of the haha islands history!
The island was always home to the Jio's who lived in peace and prosperity blah blah blah... They built up a grand civilization and extremely advanced for their time, in their golden age.
A ship landed on the coast of Haha island, carrying on it a band of murderers, thieves and rapist. A band of warriors fleeing the wrath of a distant country. They set up camp on the island and started a new life, until they drew the attention of the Jio's. The jio's were peaceful and without an army, they simply wanted to meet their new neighbours. The meeting was uneasy, but common ground was struck, The warriors would harm no one if they were allowed to stay on the island.
Over time the band of warriors grew, and spread creating villages and camps across the island, they became known as the Meho's, war mongers. They constantly fought amongst one another starting wars within their own people, unable to escape the violence that was in their blood. By now the Jio's were unable to do anything, there was too many of them, but they had kept to fighting themselves, and left the Jio cities and villages untouched so they would let it go for now.
The first Meho warlord stepped up and united the people, they had fought amongst themselves long enough. It was time for bigger prey. They would take the island from the Jio, the grand civilization would be wiped from existence and their cities taken. The war was short and fast, unexpected. The Jio's lacked the military might to defend themselves and their cities were reduced to rubble, until only the capital survived. The Meho's marched on the capital and exiled the Jio's, those who survived.
The table had turned, the Meho's were the owners of the island, living in the capital as it fell into disrepair from their lack of care for anything other than war. The Jio's who had survived had become Nomadic, tribe like people. Loosing much of their former civilized ways, but they still maintained their peace.
The Meho's continued their war on the Jio's until but a few camps survived. The current warlord Agito led an attack on a Jio camp, and during the battle he came across a Jio woman, Keikoku and fell in love. As the camp was wiped out and it's people murdered he let her escape, and they continued to meet in secret.
Twin's were born to the secret lovers, and it was decided that they would be named Dhan and Tomoko. Dhan would be taken back to the Meho capital and become a warrior. While Tomoko would go back to the last Jio camp and learn the forgotten ways of her people.
The rest after that is in our profiles, Dhan kills mum,dad Tomoko only survivor when Dhan wipes out Jio's blah blah blah...

OOO Revises and all that stuff. What do you think whooker? Is it all gooooood~
Clan: Heikou (Balance) Meho and Jio Join Status: Open Owner: Baylu and Eifer Affinity: Ice and Water History: The island known as 'Haha' has always home to the Jio's who lived in peace and prosperity. They worked in the ways of chakra and sacred writings that granted one power and knowledge. They respected the gods and noble creatures of other realms with dedication. One day a ship landed on the coast of Haha island, carrying on it a band of murderers, thieves and rapists. A band of warriors fleeing the wrath of a distant country. They set up camp on the island and started a new life, until they drew the attention of the Jio's. The Jio's believed that these men and women were sent to bring balance to the Jio's. That they were the brothers and sisters that had left the island many many decades ago and had at last returned. It had been a fact that the Jio's were diminishing due to their lack in physical power... The Jio's were peaceful and without an army, they simply wanted to meet their new neighbors. The meeting was uneasy, but common ground was struck. The warriors would harm no one if they were allowed to stay on the island. The Jio's began to integrate with Meho's, teaching each other their techniques and sharing the element of frozen water with one another. It was the one thing that brought peace since the heat of the island was sometimes unbearable.
It became Meho law that no warrior was to mate with the weak Jio's after that day.
The tables had turned, the Meho's were the owners of the island, living in the capital as it fell into disrepair from their lack of care for anything other than war.
Their mother, KeiKoku, believed that Dhan and Tomoko were part of a prophecy to bring the two halves of the island together to create a balance known as Heikou. Through a strange occurrence of events, Tomoko, Dhan and a Meho called Naru are living in Shimagakure, searching for the shrines of the honored creatures that the Jio's praised for so long.
Members: Dhan, Tomoko and Naru
Description of Limit: There are two branches to the people of Haha Island. Those of the Meho's and those of the Jio's.
Physical Features: - Black Hair - Warm Tanned Skin
Meho In-Game Stats The Meho's are warlords who wield large weapons that are usually passed down through generations to sons. They have a hard time understanding the ancient writings of the Jio's, but know that they hold much power. + 1 per 5 levels to Strength + Character level to Heavy Weapon - 1 per 5 levels to Intelligence
Jio In-Game Stats The Jio's are scholars who take pride in paying respect to the other realms and learning about sacred writings. They are by no means strong, but are very quick. +1 per 5 levels to Agility + Character level to Fuin -1 per 5 levels to Endurance
Techniques
Frozen Water Needles of Death By sending the user's charka into a pool of water, it can make the water stir and begin to pull water droplets from its surface, like rain falling up. The water droplets are then sent flying through the air at the opponent. As the air shapes them into the needles, the user's chakra uses that air to freeze the droplets into ice needles which melt after penetrating their targets skin. Cp Cost: 50 + 5 per needle Damage: 8 to 13 + Chakra Mod + Ninjutsu Bonus Requirements: Ice Affinity, Ninjutsu 30, Control 20, Throwing 20 Special: Can do up to 5 needles per dice. Avoid: Ninjutsu or Dodge
Frozen Water Prison After activating the Water prison technique, a Heikou can freeze the prison in which the target is trapped by sending their chakra in. Unlike regular water that freezes in layers, this freezing is different and can freeze solid sections by releasing a burst of chakra. The sphere is frozen in thirds, until the target is completely frozen. Cp Cost: 80 per Freezing + 40 per holding Water Prison [Until completely frozen] Damage: -35% HP per post Requirements: Ninjutsu 150, Control 100, Water Prison Technique Avoid: None. Fortitude to take half Damage if caught. Special: If still alive after fully frozen you can break free: DC: Last Ninjuts Roll 1d20 + Fortitude + Str Train: 2/2
Korsei-hi [Ice Trap] The user must first set up the scene. In order to set up the scene, the user must have first used a water technique to cover the ground in or it must be raining. They do not need to be standing in a lake or pond, the ground just needs to be wet. From the feet of the user, the water begins to freeze. The user can control which areas of the ground will be frozen, almost releasing a snake like form of chakra into the water to attack the opponent. If the freezing chakra hits the feet of the target, they are frozen in place. The ice will lock their feet into the ground making them unable to move. The Ice can continue to grow over the opponent's body, eventually suffocating them in a thin icy prison. Cp Cost: 100 + 40 per holding. Damage: 80 to 90 + Chakra Mod + 1 per 10 ranks Ninjutsu Requirements: Ice Affinity, Ninjutsu 100, Control 50 Avoid: Detect to avoid being trapped. If trapped, Fortitude to take half damage per holding post and Escape to get out of the Ice Trap. Roll: 1d20 + Ninjutsu to attack and 1d20 + Control to hold target.
Dance of the Damned - Meho Invented The user of the technique imbues several shrunken heads with chakra seemingly causing them to come to life and float about. The user can control the animated heads and use them to attack an opponent from several different directions or even to create a wall of flesh between them for defensive purposes. Cp Cost: 100 per animation of head. 20 per movement. Damage: 40 to 50 + Chakra mod + Ninjutsu bonus. Requirements: Shrunken head(s), Ninjutsu 60, Control 20 Avoid: Dodge or ninjutsu.
The Demon: Released - Meho Invented FORBIDDEN The Meho's take pride in killing opponents stronger than them. By finishing off a worthy opponent by chopping their head off with their blade, the special chakra that the user feeds into their blade eats the last remaining breath and drop of chakra from that which he has killed. Once killing 5 opponents of a higher level, the blade can be released into its true demon form. There are only three blades that have this ability that were crafted by the first warlords of the Meho clan. No blade has been unleashed since the first generation. Cp Cost: 500 Damage: To Self 60 HP per holding. Requirements: 5 heads of Higher ranking shinobi, Heavy 300, Ninjutsu 200, Control 50, Meho Heavy Cleaver Special: Demonic Transformation, specified with Blade.
Memory Seal - Jio Invented Through many years of research, the Jio's have discovered a way to pass down their knowledge to the next generation without wasting time to re-teach everything. At first, there were problems with such a technique since the memories of the elder would mix with that of the child's and the child would begin to think that he was the elder. The seal now has a locking and unlocking technique that lets the user tap into the knowledge and memories when needed, but still keep their own sense of self. Cp Costs: To Place Seal: 500 CP Requirements: Fuin 100, Control 50, Knowledge 50 To Lock/Unlock Seal: 50 CP Requirements: Fuin 50, Control 30, Knowledge 30 Special: Bonuses from Memories are only given when the seal is unlocked. Can only be unlocked for 10 straight posts until user begins to go mad from confusion of mixed memories.
Fuin Ryoko - Jio Invented FORBIDDEN The Jio's invented this technique in hopes to better their physical strength. Its a seal that works on the whole body system. When placed on a person this seal grants incredible power but also at a high cost. The power flow is so great that it can damage the person physically while under use. The seal opens up when activated and tends to spread across the body. No seal has the same design for the seal takes up on the characteristics of the person it is placed upon. Considered a forbidden technique for the risks it represents. Cp Costs: To Place: 1,500 Requirements: Fuin 500, Control 200, Knowledge 200 To Unleash: 10 Requirements: Fuin 10, Knowledge 10 To Re-Seal: 20 Requirements: Fuin 15, Knowledge 20, Control 30 Damage To Self: - Character Level per Unleashed Post Special: + 2 x Level to all Modifiers

While looking at the Hurt and Heal characters thread, I noticed a severe imbalance of characters. 3/4 of the guild, roughly, are students. We have ONE chuunin and four jounin.
My suggestion is maybe we should balance this out, once the RP is up and going again? Chuunin exams, anyone?

In ancient times when Demons ruled the lands yada yada, Demons were not born with such power, they took it.
Two demons Meho and Jio, twin brothers and sisters began their rise to power
Meho, knew the destiny of a demon, to rule with an iron fist strike fear into the hearts of man and destroy
His rise to power was swift an merciless
he quickly became a demon king of an entire continent. entire civilizations bowed before him.
However the quick sucess would not follow Jio as she chose to break the destiny of the demons
she chose to learn, to gain power. she travelled the continent seeing all gathering knowledge until nothing was beyond her great mind.
The two demon siblings had become complete opposites and yet they were just as powerful
but even pride was not beyond the great and wise jio
and one day the two went against each other to prove who was the most powerful
Jio chose to do this by making a civilization rise up seemingly over night. They quickly became the most intelligent advanced civilization there was. great cities were built and Jio's knowledge flowed into her people.
Meho would show to that he could create.
He chose the three greatest warriors from his three most powerful tribes and tore the hearts from their very chests
and three demon princes were born from these hearts
and they would be the sons of the demon king
Dragon, Iris and Ikatsui-Ago where the names of these monsters and they became like their father
leading his kingdom into even more power
Meho had won, but he had lost his sister. disgusted by her brother she tore her kingdom asunder from the ground and planted amongst the sea
Meho pleaded for his sister to return because whithout her their was only one side
It was said that Jio laughed at the sight of her brother pleading with him, a laugh heard across the corners of the globe. coming from that island
And thats why it's called haha island
Without Jio's influence on the land, Meho's people became exactly like him
and they became gready
the leaders of the three tribes schemed to steal the power of the demon princes for their own.
they pleaded with king meho to let them each take one of the princes to lead them into battle as they spread out to conquer more land for him.
his greed took over and he accepted
but this was all but a trick
once the wars were won
the tribes gathered their greatest sorcerers
and they trapped the three princes within the three warlords weapons
When word reached meho of the betrayel his punishment was swift
his land was purged in a great flame of rage
all of it destroyed as meho boiled over with anger and exploded into what was known as a thousand years of war in a second Meho was gone, his land was gone
two of his three tribes had been destroyed
their blades lost in the ruins
mehos spirit roamed the land for many years searching for his lost sons
while what was left of the third tribe fled to haha
jio knew of her brothers passing
and her heart, even that of a demon was not strong enough to bear the pain she died, in her study which her civilization turned into the greatest font of knowledge known to man, collecting every bit of history, literature information and storing it their
they also took on the name of Jio as their own out of respect for her
this was the time when the third tribe of meho had finally reached the shores of haha
when the two peoples first met the jio's asked them "Who are you?" They could not answer, they're name had been lost in history.
All they remembered was Meho.
So they took the name of the king they had betrayed
and even though Ikatsui slumbered within the great blade
his mind was projected on the warlord.

Can I suggest a guild-wide roleplaying break? Seems that more than half of our members are busy with school, traveling and getting ready for summer. I feel terrible that I haven't started the academy for everyone or posted for the Orochi war yet. Maybe those who are active should get together and try to plan something? I feel bad seeing people post all on their lonesome... Damn, I sound like a freaking sap, but it just concerns me how low in activity the guild is and I don't want the active people to leave while everyone else is a little busy. scream

I don't think a complete break from roleplay would be the wisest course. Some of us are really needing to roleplay at the moment. What do you guys think about doing what we did before the guild restarted? Everyone active gathers in one thread separate from the current rp day and just hangs out with people. We could have a relaxing, impromptu festival if you guy would like. There are two prominent Japanese holidays I'm thinking of that would be fun to play out: Sports Day and Children's Day. The latter involves kite flying, doll making, and... uh... sports! We could wing it and come up with stuff as we go along.
Feel free to suggest whatever comes to mind. We could use just about anything right now.
