"Come on, Roy-boy. We are going to be late!" Maes stopped in his tracks and looked behind him to see a lagging kitsu. "You don't want to be late to this showing, Roy-boy! It is going to be wonderful!" Roy merely sighed loudly. How could he sulk in misery of not being able to have a perfect mate with Maes around?! He always could get the perfect woman and keep her for himself for all eternity. He always had little flings in the past but that was all there was to the women who flung themselves at him. Just one night stands. Kaoru was one exception. She stayed with him for a while, but then suddenly stopped coming around. He hadn't been loyal enough to her, yet he thought that he was loyal enough. Did it have something to do with them not having any children yet? He hoped not.
Finally, after a good five minutes, Roy caught up with his old friend. "You sure have gotten lazier since coming here, Roy. You need to work out more," he said to the other male sternly. "And you need a new mate." Maes narrowed his eyes. He didn't want to have Kaoru wait forever for them. Maybe he could lure Roy out just a little further and then have Kaoru come a little ways in so that they both can 'accidentally' bump into each other. "It isn't too far. Come on, Roy-boy," he said before jumping to all fours and bounding off again, Roy behind him, this time a little quicker than before. Roy sure didn't want to get on Maes' bad side today.

Kaoru had gotten a mysterious letter a few days ago about meet a secret admirer. She wonder who could it be. She didn't want to leave Roy for another because he was the only one for her. She sighed. Earlier that day she had gotten a new outfit. She even decided to do something her hair. She pulled back her pangs and had her roommate Squall pull it back for in a pony tail in a way. She had cleaned herself all up and everything. Roy was still on her mind and in her heart. It hurt her that she was going to betray Roy's trust in her. She had been sitting for a few on a nice hill top next to the lake by the mountain. She place a daisy in her hair and felt the breeze go her fur. It was spring so the field of flowers kept her company on the hill with their fragrance. It reminded her why she fell in love with Roy. He wasn't like any guy she had met before. He was a man willing to fight and keep his heart happy, minus the depression of Hughes he had a few months back but in her head that didn't count. Kaoru laid down in the flowers and waited some more.

Maes soon found himself climbing a small hill, one of a decent size, but not too big to be considered a small mountain. It was then that he spotted Kaoru on the topside of the hill. He gazed back at Roy to find him staring idly at the lake that was near the base of the hill. How could he get him to go up further? They weren't even halfway up the mountain and his pal had already given up on the 'plan' he had in store for him! Sighing, Maes walked up behind Roy and began to shove him up the mountain with both of his forepaws.
"What the hell do you think you are doing, Maes! If this is for another girl you want me to meet you can forget about it!" Maes just continued to push Roy up the mountain, not caring if the uniform they both wore got grass stains. He could always wash them out later. Several moments later, Roy looked up and saw Kaoru. Widening his eyes, he tried to escape but was pinned down underneath of Maes' huge body. "You are going to talk to her and apologize for whatever you did or said to her. And you two are going to kiss, make up, and make out! Got it?" Roy just laid on the ground, shaking slightly. Did his friend actually say that to him?! He was speechless as Maes got off of him, grabbed the collar of his coat and began to drag him up to Kaoru.

Kaoru ears pearked up with the sound and wrestling going behind her. She slowly sat up and turned to see Hughes and Roy. It was more of Hughes dragging Roy. She didn't know whether to laugh or to cry. She could feel her heart filling with joy but also with sadness too. A tear rolled down her face and she turned all the way around but there was a smile beginning to form on her face. "Roy." she said with her trembling lips and her tails shaking. She want to say sorry for what ever mistake she may have caused. She felt that maybe it was her fault for them not having kids. She wanted to say sorry for ever having a doubt that Roy didn't love her.

Afetr dragging Roy up to the top of the hill, he shoved his friend in front of his mate, or what was left of him calling Kaoru his mate. Roy turned his gaze down at the ground as he heard his name being whispered. "Kaoru," he whispered hoarsly, ignoring the fact that Maes was around. He wanted to apologize, but he found the words stuck in his throat. Sighing, Maes merely sat back and watched the two love-sick kitsu carefully to make sure Roy didn't do anything stupid or ignorant.

"I......I...I am sorry," said Kaoru after stumbling a bit. She didn't know what to say after that. Kaoru slowly got closer to Roy. She couldn't think of anything to say. "I hope I didn't hurt. I am sorry," she kept mumbling sorry as if it were her fault as that is how she felt. Kaoru tried to look at Roy in his eyes to hopefully find forgiveness in his eyes.

Hearing Kaoru apologize made Roy feel even worse about what had happened between them. He took a few deep breaths and decided to try and speak to her. "Umm...." was all he could muster to speak to her. Maes decided to step in and 'help' his buddy out. He slowly rose up and placed an arm around Roy's shoulders. "What he means to say is that he is the one to be sorry for everything. Right, Roy-boy?" he said, gazing down at Roy to see him noding sheepishly. "I am sure this was all just a big understanding. I can see how he can be infertile now." Roy blushed a deep crimson color and muttered something to Maes. The other male blinked his eyes a few times and stared at his friend curiously. "I wasn't supposed to tell her? OOps." He grinned mischievously, not caring if he said that or not.

"I don't think it is him. I think it more me. I think my body...just hasn't been ready." said Kaoru still having tears roll down her face. She didn't blame Roy at all for them not having kids. Even though they might not have kids Kaoru wanted to be at Roy's side even if it means they couldn't have a family. She really loved Roy for his character. She wanted to touch him even if Hughes was there.

"Ah, so you are the infertile one," Maes said before being elbowed in the ribs by one of Roy's arms. "Shut up. Don't make her feel worse! And don't talk to my mate like that!" he said to Maes angrily. Maes, instead of feeling down, merely smiled. So, he had gotten Roy's old spirit back again...well, a little bit. There was still more work to be done and he hoped that Kaoru might help him bring back the 'old' Roy. Well, maybe not completely back. He didn't want Roy to go back to his womanizing ways if he did completely get back his old self.
Sighing, Roy shook his head and tossed himself at Kaoru, snuggling her in his arms. "Sorry," he whispered in one of her ears. "I would do more, but he is watching."

"Umm Hughes. ....would you mind," said Kaoru shyly. She didn't want to feel like saying Hughes could you leave them alone for a few hours. Kaoru smiled a bit. She then whispered in Roy ear. "When he leaves I want you tell me how you really feel please when Hughes leaves. "

"Huh, what?" Maes gazed at Kaoru, then at Roy, and then back at Kaoru. "what did you want me to do?" he asked innocently, wanting to know what they were going to do. Roy rolled his eyes and kicked out his hindlegs at Maes. "Leave us be for a bit. You can give us a little breathing room now that we have made up and all that jazz," he said sternly to his friend. Feeling defeated, he slumped down the hill, knowing that sooner or later he would have to leave Roy alone with his mate.
After watching Maes walk down to the bottom of the hill, Roy carefully turned his back towards the other male and began to purr deep in his chest. "So, you really wanna know what I feel about you?" he said as he nuzzled his muzzle into her neck.

"Yes," she said welcoming the nuzzling with a purr and also nuzzled Roy." I really want to know if I have room in your heart anymore." She really loved Roy but wasn't sure if he loved her the same way. Kaoru placed her flower in Roy's hair and then smiled again.

He gazed at her curiously, flicking an ear slightly as she placed the flower in his hair. Why would she ask a thing like that? Then he remembered the many times he had let her down into misery along with him. All because of Maes and his past with the other male. Sighing, he let his body flop down on the grass and he cradle her body in his arms. "Why wouldn't I have no room for you in my heart? You have it all, my love."

Kaoru busted into tears and kissed Roy with all her passion. She was crying for the happiness that Roy filled her with. She was happy that he still loved her. Kaoru heart belong to Roy. Kaoru felt that her heart felt more at ease. She didn't want this moment to ever stop.

Roy returned her loving kisses with ones of his own. He, too, didn't want that moment to end, but he knew that sooner or later Maes would come up to 'check' on them. Sighing, he half-closed his eyes and deepened his purrs so that his chest vibrated with each purr.
Meanwhile, Maes was attempting to take a peak at the two lovebirds by trying to see what they were doing from the long distance away. All he could see was snuggling. "I wish I had a mate of my own," he grumbled to himself, not knowing if his old lover was going to come back to him.
