Hey yo peoples! Next week is spring break for me so I'm going to salt lake city to visit my sisters. Anyone else up there who'd like to meet up? If not, any suggestions as to what to see up there? It's also my first time on a plane. Suggestions? Comments? Memories? Do tell.
EDIT:: Actually going to provo, not too far from BYU. My ticket just takes me to SLC so I thought that first. Sorry for the confustion

Oh sure. AFTER I leave. Gosh. Shaz and Toys aren't there either. You have a real knack for timing.

Your first time on the plane, too? If they give you soda ask them to leave the can. They will, but only if you ask. And make sure you don't bring any liquids above 3 ounces with you in your carry on. Or empty containers.
And if you want to come to my work Thanksgiving Point and go to, like the farm or Dinosaur museum or Gardens let me know and I can get you in cheaper (and "behind the scenes"). I know that's not REALLY Salt Lake, but Lehi's not far, if you want to play with me? sweatdrop

Well if you went to williams instead of whereever in carolina, or where ever you are, we'd have already met up. Sil told me earlier that she's going to utah the week after I come home. Hey Kipluc, why should she leave the can?

Hey it's not my fault I came to Charleston. I'd like to have been stationed at Hill if anything. Either that or Luke.

Hey Kipluc, why should she leave the can? Otherwise they give you, like, the amount in the cup (with a TON of ice (usually half the can full) and never come back and refill. Krego-sama you work there Kipluck? Were you there on or around halloween doing anything? Yep. If I wasn't teaching a class (I am in the Education department, so I teach kiddlets) like pumpkin carving for families at Farm Country, I was likely AROUND. Either writing curriculum in the office (which is in the Red Barn), or helping out at the museum or something. I didn't spend much time at the corn maze and stuff if that's where you were.

You ask them to leave the can because otherwise they only pour you half of the can and take the rest and move on - you can also ask for extra water bottles or an extra bag of the snacks. I always try to take a good book to read, some good snacks, and some kind of hobby (crochet, knit, embroider, crosswords, etc.) to keep me busy and be able to switch off if I get tired of one thing. What interests you? Snow skiing? - some wonderful places still open. The Kennecott Copper Pit is closed until the end of May and so is the road to Cascade Springs, the Mirror Lake Highway, and most of the outdoor swimming pools. Temple square has the new Joseph Smith movie and the Distribution Center has most of the church movies and magazines, etc at a good price and no tax. We have a Hard Rock Cafe in Utah now as well as a Ruth's Chris (sp?) steak house (bring lots of money) and a Utah Pioneer musuem that is fun to see as well as the Beehive and Lion House. You can get some other suggestions off the Utah Tourism web site, too. Let us know what you are interested in.
