Where are you going to affix a keychain, though?
And if you're applying skins,
the actual color of the DS doesn't matter so much, correct?
So the color you decide on only affects areas the skin doesn't cover.
With the two plaid ones, I'd think black would look better in the background,
and the retro pink flowers skin would go great on a pink DS Lite.
Myself, I bought a pink DS and scribbled flowers, sparkles, and hearts onto it with Souffle Pens.
Remember that your customization doesn't have to be
limited to what premade designs are available~

Skinning your DS does mean that the colour doesn't really matter at all...
I'd prefer white though, you get less visible fingerprints when it's not skinned. And who knows, you might want to unskin or reskin it after a bit and I think white is easier to match with skins.

I love the idea of coloring on it, but if I go sans skins,
I want something clean.
Though, the idea of a pretty pink one with my own designs is nice.

They all look great but I like the red plaid one. smile
Between black or white, I'd choose black but if it's easier to see fingerprints on black go for white instead.

wow they are so cool i love the last on its amazing XD i think you should probly get the black DS i think it wont matter ether way if you get skins for your DS you wont see the colour much XD

I like the pink plaid, but I think the red plaid and the charm look great together.
I agree with the people who've talked about the white DS. I think they look better with with lighter skins, and a black DS would look better if you're more likely to use dark skins.
I have a pink DS, and I stuck pink, and silver gem stickers on it.

Yes!!
They can draw on EVERYTHING - even fabric!!
(But not on something that would get wet.)
They take a few minutes to dry, though,
and while they're wet they could slide around if you're not careful
(in other words, they'll melt away from the DS's curved edges).
BUT, once they are dry, they're smooth and pastel-looking and pretty,
the coolest part being that they leave a raised, puffy line.
You can buy 'em at art supply stores, usually around scrapbooking stuff.
