 The sky was blue, but it was slowly being covered in dark gray clouds. Ambrosia sat underneath a large tree, staring up at said sky, wondering when the rain would start. She slowly moved her head to look out to ocean, which was a couple of yards away. She was almost on the beach, the sand only a couple of inches away, but on the way to the water she had decided to stay off the shore and in the cover of the trees.
There was a slight wind, helping to blow the clouds in of course, and the sun was being blocked, causing shadows to play over the ground. She wanted to swim today, or at least stand in the water, but seeing as how the weather was turning rather ugly, she thought it best not to. So now she was just sitting there, doing nothing. Actually, it was more like she was waiting for something to happen.

 Dhiren was fascinated with the sky and the clouds. And how the clouds produced rain. He became rather curious on how that all worked and why. Though, he kind of knew why, if it didn't rain, he figured the world would become dry and no one would be able to live upon it. Now the question was how it did it. Dhiren wasn't one to believe in magic.
He didn't really even pay attention where he was going. Having walked right on to some sandy ground that seemed most difficult to walk in, he slipped and fell trying to walk in it. Causing a bunch of sand to lift up into the air and get all over him. And in his eyes. "Ahh!" he said as he started to rub is eyes. "Oh... That hurts.... it hurts!"

She jumped at the yelling, and then thinking that someone might be hurt, she ran in the direction the sounds were coming from. Seeing another Ulaya on the sand, violently rubbing its eyes, she ran towards it. Getting closer she saw it was a boy, and that he had probably gotten sand in his eyes.
She got close enough to talk to him and asked softly, “Are you okay?” She would help if she could.

He blinked, now thinking that he got all the sand out. He looked at the voice who had said something, though his vision was blurred a bit. "I think." He said with a laugh. He'd never walked on this stuff before, and it was quite weird. He stood up and shook off the rest of the sand, now getting that he had to walk a bit slower, and not try to run on the stuff.
His eyes were a bit red from the bits of sand that had indeed gotten into his eye, but seemed to be out now. "This stuff.... horrible, absolutely horrible." he mumbled to himself and then turned his attention back to the pink blurred vision female. "Hi! I'm Dhiren. Sorry I can't really see you at the moment, this stuff seemed to blurr my vision a bit." though it was starting to get a bit more clear.

She smiled at him, glad that he could also speak, not only yell. “I’m Ambrosia. Should I find a stream so that you can get the sand out of your eyes?” she asked. She kind of liked the sand herself, it felt a little funky between the pads in her feet, but it was a good kind of funky. Then again, she had never gotten it into her eyes.

He nodded, His eyes as clear as they would get. "No... I think I got it all out." He said with a smile. "But thanks!" He looked at the ground curiously to inspect this strange element. What was it, and how did it get here, he looked to the water and figured it came from there some how. His attention went back to the female. "Oh! Sorry." he said with a smile. "Nice to meet you." She was very interesting herself! He now just noticed the thing popping out of her head, which he couldn't help but stare at for a few seconds.

She tilted her head and smiled at him. “It’s nice to meet you too!” She studied him for a moment and a question popped into her head. “Can I ask you a question,” she asked and without waiting for an answer she asked, “What’s wrong with your tail?” Maybe she had been rude in asking so bluntly, but she really was quite curious.

Wrong? He looked at it to make sure nothing had happened to it. Of course, she knew what she meant, but felt that he had to look at it anyways. "Nothings wrong with it, it's just long." He said now as he pawed it with one of his paws. Of course, it wasn't normal to have a long fluffy tail like this oh well. "Both my parents, and my sister have it too, so I guess we are just an odd family."

She poked it with one of her paws, amazed by its sleekness and by how long it was. She gazed at her own tail, short and nothing special. “I wish I had a tail like yours, mines boring and like everyone else’s.” She really didn’t have a reason to complain, she had a horn sticking out of her head for goodness sakes, but she liked to be different. Curiosity struck, “You have a sister?”

His tail twitched a bit as it was poked at. He laughed a tiny bit. "Well, I can't say I wouldn't mind having that thing upon your head." He said with a nod. "looks like you could protect yourself pretty well. Just poke someone's eye out and be done with them." He said with a chuckle.
"Indeed I do." He said. "She's my twin." he added with a nod. "But I think we look nothing alike." He said, but he was use to looking at her more then others and could tell everything that's different about them. "But yeah, I'm sure you'd think we'd look the same." He said with a laugh.

She looked up at her horn, going cross-eyed. She could if she really had to, but she didn’t want to hurt anybody. Still, a longer tail would be more fun than a stupid blue horn on her forehead. She got weird looks because of it!
When he started talking about his sister, a twin at that, she got excited. “She looks just like you? That would be so awesome! I wish I had siblings! That would be so cool.” What she really wanted was companionship. Sure, she could probably talk to Hakim, but he was more like her dad than anything else. She needed friends! Now she was pouting, or as much as a Ulaya can pout anyways.

He as well got stared at funny, but he didn't notice. He tried not to anyways. Always got his mind on something else, to notice anything. He flicked it a bit and then looked at her horn again. He wasn't sure what he'd want more, his tail or that horn.
"Well, I don't think so, but everyone says we do." he said with a nod. "Oh, It's not that great. The moment you have them, you wish you didn't." He said with a small giggle.

She had the greatest urge to poke his tail when he started speaking again. “I still wish I had some, just to be able to feel that way.” And I bet you do look alike, she thought with a smile. She wished to meet his sister, if only to confirm that suspicion. Her short tail was wagging, even though she did not notice. She was happy to have met this Ulaya, he was very kind, and his tail was awesome.

"Well, you do have a horn, don't you? Don't you wish you had something instead of it?" He asked her. "It's pretty much the same." He said with a wink. Maybe it wasn't totally the same, She couldn't really move it like he could his tail. But it was still nice to have something that made one look different from others. "And perhaps one day you'll run into my sister. Though, I'd say watch out. she likes to jump." Well more so jump on random Ulaya.

“I’m not saying I don’t like my horn, in fact I love it, its just that a tail like yours would be a lot more fun.” She shrugged. She liked being individual, it didn’t matter how she was different did it? Then again, she was bright pink. SO she would always be a bit different. On hearing him talk about his sister she exclaimed, “She jumps?! On what? Like a frog?”
