Hey guys! I just finished making my very own monocle goggle. :3
I've been working on it for about a week now, and to my surprise, it actually came out how I had intended.

Things used/ruined in the process of making this piece of work:
- old pocket watch
- pair of ski goggles (for the padding around the inside)
- western-style hat
- huge badge (for the wire...which I didn't use afterwards)
- spring wire
- metal washer
- wire cutters (IT WAS TOO INTENSE)
- pair of gloves (I'll explain afterwards)
- roll of electrical tape
- Super Glue
- a leather purse
- IMMENSE PATIENCE

Furthermore, in order to finish this project, I had to get over my deep-seated fear of SUPER GLUE (CAUTION: BONDS SKIN INSTANTLY). That's where the gloves came in. No way in hell was I going to put my bare skin ANYWHERE near that stuff, so I wore gloves for the first few times using it. But after a while, I realized they weren't very dexterous, so I was just like "confound it, they're frustrating".
I did glue my fingers to the leather a few times, though. THAT was embarrassing.

So yeah. It's finally done.
What do you think? ;D

I would like some instructions for that if you wouldn't mind...

Though how much did you have to pay to get the watch? Over hear they can cost £20 ($40 ish) for even that nastiest...though I guess that's really all you need when you're only planning to gut it.

DOCTOR STEEL FOR WORLD EMPEROR

Well actually, I didn't pay anything for the watch. I received it as a gift from my aunt on my birthday in September, but a piece of metal accidentally jammed the mechanism that powered it, thus it was useless before I gutted it.
But I've never been known to let anything go to waste, so it was that broken watch that inspired me to create the goggle.

I'm contemplating writing up a proper set of instructions over the next day or so, and I'll post them up here for you all.

Sweet. Reminds me of that one dude in Harry Potter. Who has the eye swiveling around in it. Mad-Eye Moody... Yeah...

I've been checking back on this thread to see if you've uploaded instructions yet.

But each time I've been saddened. ;_______;~~~
