 Atae had woken up that morning to a realization of something that needed fixing. She'd actually gotten up and headed over to Trelweny's before Zell made it over to the Place and told him there was somewhere she needed to take him. Though it wasn't until they'd made it to the Mountain that she told him where they were going; it was sort of a suprise in her mind. After all this was really the first time she'd ever taken someone to meet her family. The time she took Sparda to Dante's didn't really count, because he already was family.
And they were around the back of the mountain in a little valley with the small town that housed Dante's little shop, and she was knocking on the door, practically vibrating with excitement. "Grampa! Grampa, are you home? I brought someone to meet you..." She'd brought him here first partly because there was likely to be more of the family here... and partly because when all was said and done "Grampa" Dante really was her favorite. Not that the thought had really occured to her or that she'd ever say such a thing aloud.

 He had been more thrilled than surprised when Atae showed up early. Ever since that morning where they had shown each other how they felt... he just wanted to spend even more time with the petite mottled female. He had before that too, just didn't understand at all and so didn't know what to do about it. So yeah... Zell had been thrilled to see her early.
Then totally excited about there being somewhere Atae wanted to take him. "Booya! sounds awesome!" He trotted with his usual bounce in his step and then some as they headed to mountain. He wondered where they where going.
Wait... Grandpa?!? Zell baubled, tripping over his front paws briefly even as he accommodated for the mistake and straightened out again. But his bright blue eyes were wide with an odd combination of anxiety, fear, and -surprisingly enough- eagerness. "Grandpa? Ya didn't tell me we were comin' to see your folks, shy gal." He laughs -a little nervously- and playfully bumps his shoulder to hers as the continued on from the mountain.
He was nervous. Excited -especially seeing how excited Atae was- but nervous. Hyne, he was going to meet her folks!!

 Dante had been more or less relaxing today, after having met Vash a day or two ago. The two of them had agreed to partner up for a while in hopes of garnering more jobs (and thus more money). But so far, there hadn't been many offers of work, so Dante was stuck lying around and waiting for something to happen.
He could only hope that it might be something exciting.
At the knock on the door, ears perked up and the red-clad kitsu sat up on the couch, hearing a familiar voice outside - and then one not so familiar. Bounding up, he padded over to the door and opened it, already grinning. "Heya, Atae!" he said with a ready grin, eyes then sliding to her companion. "Who's this?" Meanwhile, Sparda (who had also just taken to living at the shop) was currently lying on the floor toward the top of the stairs, kind of idly perusing a book for lack of anything better to do.
When he heard his own son call out downstairs, though, the older kitsu's ears perked up as well and he peeked over the edge of the stairs. Aaah, Atae! The lovely young lady who had first shown him where his sons were living.
Getting up, he started down the stairs in a curious sort of fashion, wondering who she had brought with her.

Atae grinned right back at Dante with a happy wag of her tails. "Hi Grampa! This is Zell..." She blinked, tilting her head to better peer around the door when she spotted Sparda's lovely purple and wine outfit. "Great-Grampa's here too?" She grinned yet more at that and made her way in, motioning for Zell to follow. "Anyway... well I never really bring any of my friends up here to meet you guys, but it seemed kinda important this time cause..." She blushed a bit and her voice lowered a bit in a rather unintentional shy manner. "He's my boyfriend..."
She turned a bit redder after the mini-confession and rubbed one forepaw at the other in her usual nervous habit and then looked down at them as if slightly startled to realize she'd slipped into it once again. Which she was. She tried really hard not to do that anymore and yet it still happened. Though perhaps it wasn't that suprising... she just knew they'd like him but she didn't really know what to expect. She'd sorta kinda gotten used to the gentle sort of teasing they got around Trel's and at the Place but... well... this was certainly not something she did every day. Honestly she was still suprised sometimes that her good friend of so long was now her boyfriend... suprised and delighted. Which she thought was a very good way to feel.

Zell was stepping nervously from one paw to the other as the door opened. c'mon, Dincht! not like you're askin' for permission to marry 'Tae or somethin'! aw man... that was sooooo not the best thought in the world to have before having to grin at the kitsu who opened the door. But then...
Duuuude! Hyne... were those fighting gloves her grandpa was wearing? Well, whether they were or not, Zell could tell the grinning male was a fighter of some type by the way he moved & by the way he held himself when still. Cool.
The SeeD nodded and grinned as Atae introduced him, waiting just that moment more after Atae indicated he follow her in to actually be invited -if only with a nod- by Dante. Hey! Ma Dincht instilled some manners into her energetic boy!
About to automatically gently tease his girl for getting all shy when it was just her family & him there Zell froze & blinked as if hit by a mac truck with what she actually said. His face warmed with a light blush -all the way to the tips of his blue flame tipped ears and down his neck beneath the white collar of his undershirt. He... hadn't been expecting her to just.. come right out and say it. Certainly not right away. Thankfully his freeze didn't last too long and Zell bounced back into his usual vibrating with energy self.
He held out his paw to shake the other kitsu's, smiling that warm boyish smile of his. Though he looked a little pink. "heheh. Yea. Zell Dincht. Pleased t'meetcha."

 There was noise in his house. How absolutely wonderful...and please, don't take that in any sincere fashion. With a sigh, Vergil shoved his book aside with a paw, slowly rising to his feet to head downstairs. Just lovely, it seemed as though there was a veritable gathering in the parlor. Eyeing first Dante, and then his father, the elder of the Sparda twins wiped the scowl off of his face, as well...he didn't really mind Atae, and if she'd brought a friend over, it would probably be best if Vergil was civil. He could do that for family...even such odd family as they possessed.
"Well well, I see we have visitors." He said, carefully pleasant, moving to stand next to the couch, closer to Dante. Always, in situations that made him uneasy, he found that being near his twin improved his mood, at least somewhat, and if the younger wasn't doing anything particularly stupid.

Dante smiled at Atae and then widened eyes just a bit at the male with her. Huh ... "Boyfriend, eh?" he asked, with a raised brow. Well, he didn't seem like too bad a guy, just on first glance. And then other kitsu stepped inside as well, introducing himself and holding a paw out.
Smiling at that, Dante took the other's paw with his own and shook - figuring out instantly that this one was likely something like himself, his own twin, and Sparda - brought to this place from somewhere else and then changed into this form.
Sparda also smiled at Zell, taking that paw next with a little playful almost-bow. The demon-turned-kitsu glanced from Dante, to Atae, to Zell ... and then one ear flicked back as Vergil also came down the stairs to join them. "Well ... seems like congratulations of some sort are in order?" he commented lightly, head tilting.
Dante also glanced back at Vergil's arrival, and shifted just a little closer to his brother, bumping a shoulder into the other kitsu. "Hey Verge... decided to come out of hibernation..? Atae brought Zell here by to meet us."

Atae, still blushing, nodded to Dante's mini-queery. Yes... boyfriend. Though she didn't think she'd actually out and said it before. Everyone at home... well, it wasn't too hard to figure out.
Her ears flicked up as Vergil came down and she wagged her tails again. She liked Vergil... in spite of his aloof manner. "Hi Uncle Vergil..." Though she was soon distracted by Sparda's question and her ears went back down and her face, which had been starting to return to its normal color, reddened again. "Um... Congratulations? I guess... I dunno... I don't really know what's in order, I just wanted him to meet you guys... And Daddy and Momma, if they're home when we go over..."

It was easy for Zell to grin as he shook Dante & then Sparda's paws with his warming hug of a handshake. Well... pawshake. Blinking a little then grinning all over again at the elegantly purple-garbed kitsu's bow. Dude... this wasn't too bad so far. 'Course he should have known 'Tae's family would be cool. How could they not, Atae coming from them? He lifted his eyes to grin and wave at the kitsu joining them. "Hey, man." The SeeD greeted, opting to stay where he was rather than moving & offering Virgil his paw as well. Then Zell chuckled happily at Sparda's question. Blue eyes twinkled as he glanced over at Atae and almost split his face grinning to see her blush like that -so cute!- playfully bumping his shoulder to hers then flicking her gently with the blue flames of his tail. "Wha... not a 'grats moment, 'Tae?" He was teasing her. Putting his nose near her cheek beneath her nearest lowered ear Zell whuffed softly to lift it and winked. "Cute lil' shy gal."
Tails wagging Zell turned his attention mostly back to her family. "heheh. Yeah... we're still kinda gettin' used to it ourselves, ya know." A sheepish grin, the paw further from Atae lifting to rub the back of his neck -a little awkward as a kitsu but old habits die hard.

Almost immediately, Vergil realized that this energetic fighter was not unlike his own twin in several respects. He could deal with that...he had for years, after all, and well, if Zell was anything at all like Dante, then he'd probably do well by Atae.
The blue-coated kitsu gave his great-niece one of his rare smiles. "Greetings, Atae..." Seeing that he was also being addressed by her boyfriend, he politely held out his paw to the other. It was, after all, his fault he was out here fraternizing, as it wasn't normally in Vergil's personality to be social. He could have stayed upstairs and out of it, but he hadn't, so he was obliged to not act like he was a kitsu iceberg. "A pleasure to meet you, Zell was it?"
Ears flicking, Vergil nipped lightly at his twin's ear, informing him that the comment was acknowledged, and had been appreciated in the manner that Vergil assumed it should be...which meant it wasn't.

Dante blinked at his own father, then smiled at the way his words made Atae blush like that. Dante might be the most outgoing and ... well, brash... of the family - but Sparda had a similar sort of personality, with a bit more of the dry wit Vergil specialized in thrown into the mix. It certainly made for interesting conversation at times.
Personally, Dante rather though the two of them were adorable.
Sparda smiled as well and cast a glance over his two sons before turning attention back to the young couple. "Well, certainly it's a good idea to bring Zell by and let him meet all of us formally," he said to Atae, sitting up a bit straighter. And then he blinked slightly. "Hm... speaking of which, I don't believe we've given you our names yet. I am Sparda, and this is Dante, and Vergil," he went on, introducing them all - as he was sort of the head of this little ... interesting ... family.
Dante ducked his head just a bit at that n** on his ear and promptly moved a paw to step on his twin's foot. It was somewhat more restrained than what he might have done, but he did realize that they had company.

It took a few moments but Atae was finally feeling more relaxed with the situation. She smiled back at Vergil, immensely pleased that he'd smiled at all, and then nodded to Sparda's words. Of course it was a good idea to bring Zell by... she wanted him to meet both of her families. He'd met everyone at the Place, of course, and Terasu and Edward who she'd sort of adopted as a second set of brothers when she was young. But most of her blood family... at least the ones she really knew and who were important to her, lived up here on the Mountain.
She grinned a bit at the interaction between Vergil and Dante, though she lowered her muzzle to rub self-consciously at her nose to try and spare them. "Zell's been friends with Kitsyn for a long time... she's the one that sorta runs the house. She set me up for some training with him a while back... and I guess things kinda happened after a while? Um..." She shifted a little and then grinned sheepishly, looking from Zell to Dante. "I guess I also kinda thought you guys might like to have a spar once in a while or something?..." Dante was a rather active kitsu, and Zell always seemed to like finding new sparring partners.

Peeking back out from nearly under Atae's ear the fistfighter grinned brightly at her uncle and warmly shook his paw. "Dude. Yeah. Zell." Blue eyes crinkled. This guy didn't seem as much a talker but still cool. And they all had such fancy duds too. Dante's seemed almost casual in comparison to the others. Cool.
Well, no. They hadn't given their names. Zell grinned and nodded as they were given, then gave another nod each as he repeated their names to the right ones -setting them in his mind. "Sparda. Dante. Vergil. Dig it. Pleasure to meetcha all."
Then he was blushing a little bit, at least his ears were becoming quite pink where the lighter colored fur was. oh yeah... who woulda thought then that this was where they'd be now, huh? Then his eyes lit up & his head shot up at the sound of one of his favorite words coming out of the mouth of definitely his favorite girl. His head shot up to look with excited boyish hope at Dante. "Spar? Really? Duuude... that'd be awesome!"
Going on his hindleg Zell tossed two shadow boxes followed by a backflip, all while grinning uncontrollably. Then he realized who he had done so in front of and kind of... opened his mouth sheepishly before going back to all fours and tucking his head over Atae's neck, not quite hiding behind her chocolate bangs at the males in about the closest expression Zell ever got to being embarrassed. It was still impish, and almost more of an apology than anything. "oops. Uh... yeah... Sparring'd be way cool..." He laughed.

Vergil nodded his head at Zell's words, and proceeded to nudge Dante with his shoulder. Ah...it looked like Zell at least possessed Dante's energy, it would at least assure that Dante didn't beat the other too terribly badly, should they spar.
The elder twin was rather glad that Sparda was here, he could mediate, and he was generally better with people than his sons...though for quite different reasons. He didn't have Dante's propensity to be rash, and neither did he have Vergil's tendency to be cold and anti-social. A very very good thing.
"So long as no one gets themselves killed, sparring would probably be a fine idea, I know Dante's always up for it..." A knowing glance at his twin.

Dante's eyes fairly lit up as well at Atae's mention of a possible sparring partner. He'd been thinking already that Zell looked like a rather active kinda guy ... but for Atae to actually suggest it, knowing something about what he could do, was saying a lot in the blond's favor, so far as Dante was concerned.
Grinning, he stepped back just a little as Zell bounced up and boxed at the air, then flipped backward. Sooo ... hand to hand fighter, huh? Dante could deal with that.
Stepping forward again, he smiled at the other. "Heh ... s'ok," he said, attempting to lure Zell back out into the open again. "Think we'll be gettin' along just fine..."
A glance at his brother then, and ears perked up. "Killed? Would I do that...?" he asked, innocence in his very manner.
Sparda smiled almost indulgently at his sons, then turned attention back to Atae and Zell. "Well ... it seems as if we should all get along fairly well ... " he pointed out with a little nod.
