Aside from the 'shadow' part, that sounds like a poltergeist. I could be wrong, though.
I would try and see if you could get a team of paranormal investigators to check out your house.

Just because they're dead doesn't mean they can't understand you...
Tell them to get out. Let them know that this is no longer their house and they need to move on.
Why hire someone to do something you can do yourself?

A poltergeist is a manifestation of psychic activity from an individal, preferably children, young, wanting attenion. @ -blurple-bliss-: Good advice. Also, Try burning St. Michaels or whatever candles, and a cross. My religious step-mother and my GLS teacher both agree to these. And they're smart. smile 3nodding

I would try and see if you could get a team of paranormal investigators to check out your house. Only poltergeist, or something else.....not going to talk about it, can move objects. Ghost are pretty much show up and go, and may move object, but smashing objects is a sign of a poltergeist. Shadows are different, like ummm i can't explain it other then the fact that they are different type of ghost. They are called "shadow people" and can move objects. They can be seen on camera at times (i've tried and gotten one) so it can be poltergeist, or shadow people......hope it's shadow people sad

Um, I would personaly advise not to just tell them to get out of your house because that will more than likly anger them... Either just deal with them (like ignore them), or have some priest or professional ghost person to help you get rid of them, because its best for someone that knows what there doing to do something like that, lol. But be cautious if you say that there like that. please.
