To me, 6th and 7th positions are just useless because there are too many notes to play on those! F, C, E, F, A, and a whole lot more! and 7th is so hard to get to because your slide always comes out! i just use my trigger, what about you (for 6th and 7th)?

Lol i use 6th alot and as for 7th i find it useless and when i do use it i hate it.. and i cant take the easy way out because i refuse to own a trombone with the F-attachment..

I think I used 6th position a few times but not very often, so yea they are kinda useless.

Glaneib Lol i use 6th alot and as for 7th i find it useless and when i do use it i hate it.. and i cant take the easy way out because i refuse to own a trombone with the F-attachment.. why do you not want one with an f attachment? i've never played one without one... i found my trombone in my grandmas closet and it had an f attachment, so thats wat i started with

I don't know what a triger is and plus I don't think I've played half those notes in 6 or 7 position at all...) trigger, f attachment, its the thing u use to not have to go to 6th and 7th. it makes a trombone have to have a bunch of pipes

What am I talking about?! I must be going crazy! gonk

i usually use my trigger for those positions, unless im playing a run or something that doesnt give me time to get my slide back up to first or second...plus my arm isnt quite long enough to reach 7th, i can only get to about 6 1/3!
