I tried Mene for a bit, but found it rather bland. While Gaia may not be perfect, I still like it's style to that over Menewsha's.

I'm just so happy seeing so many Purkles in so many places! I wish I had time for some of these other sites too, but I can barely keep up with the three I have now. Not to mention the fact that I have mules here and one on Menewsha. Insanity I tell you, sheer insanity!

I do agree there's more to do here than Mene! Zan's getting up there with the things to do, but it's still mostly text-only, compared to towns and cinemas and fishing and rally and slots and word bump and all that here.

Same here Rue. That and my posts dont go ignored or when I post pics people actually comment on them. Sometimes I feel like Im back in high school over here, that Im not part of the in crowd so Im not good enough to be commented on. And its not just me that it happens to either.

morquarwen Same here Rue. That and my posts dont go ignored or when I post pics people actually comment on them. Sometimes I feel like Im back in high school over here, that Im not part of the in crowd so Im not good enough to be commented on. And its not just me that it happens to either.
And really most anywhere to some degree, but more-so there. Right now subeta is the most visited for me, but I don't do much interaction because the forum/guild bits are a little wierd to me.
And I am guilty of the "not acknowledging" that happens here. Sometimes I just can't think of the right things to say.. I will type something up and then look at it... and worry that I might piss someone off. I NEVER want to do that.. not with my Purkles.. you guys are all wonderful. Other times I should be doing something else, so I just run through, read, and run. Doesn't mean I love you guys any less. Kinda like leaving my Yahoo on for 3 days straight and having not one person message me... pretty sad, but it goes both ways I suppose.
Better start getting ready. Got a long ride ahead of me.

You know, I used to really enjoy that place a lot. Maybe too much and maybe that's what happened. Just got burnt out on it since I spent too much time there. I don't know...something changed at some point for me and I just don't get as much enjoyment from the community. So I'm getting rid of my invo and getting art on my way out. I'm glad I was so active, though - helped me build up a good stash and I've been enjoying the art I've been buying!
Actually, I think something's changed for me with most of the places I've visited online. Probably after my contest ends here, I'll go into fullblown lurker mode - probably play games or something and slowly earn money to buy stuff, but not talk much at all. It's weird. Places like Deviant Art, Mene, Livejournal, I just don't really want to be as much anymore. Maybe I'm getting bored of the internet thing and want to get back into reading more, cross-stitching more, drawing more, maybe even writing more. Maybe it's just all the drama and stuff that goes on all over the place - I always wonder why people can't just let others be, you know? Maybe it's just my little girl's much more of a handful than she was a year ago. Maybe it's just a stage and 6 months from now, I'll be craving all my old activities. I somehow don't think so, though. I do know, though, it's not most of the people I've met. There are many wonderful people out there I'm glad to have gotten to know through things like this.

I think what Jess was saying is posts on Mene don't get skipped over as much, maybe. But I know that my posts get skipped over a lot and it doesn't bother me unless it happens several times in a row, but I've learned to expect it at certain times and on certain sites so it is what it is now. smile
