If you've played both Sonic Adventure, and Sonic Adventure 2, you would have most likily noticed that both have different theme songs for each character. Not as in lyrics, but as in singers and music beats, and even genre of music in Knuckles' case.
Point of this thread is to figure out, which music style do the Sonic fans like the most? Sonic Adventure, or Sonic Adventure 2?
Personally, I liked SA's music better with the expection of Tails. SA2's theme was better for him.

While I do like both, I tend to lean more toward SA2's style of themes. Especially in Knuckles' case...man, I absolutely cannot stand the SA one... sweatdrop Tails' is certainly a step up too. SA's style was loud and rock-y, which I liked, but I preferred the SA2 style for being more...well, for lack of a better word to accurately describe it, mellow. sweatdrop

Ooh, that's a difficult one. I'd say Sonic Adventure straight off, except I also love "It Doesn't Matter" in SA2. Plus "I am the EGGMAN" rocks.
Knuckles' theme was too techno/rappy for my taste in SA2. Tails' theme grew on me slightly (I loathed it the first time I heard it), but the SA version will always have a special place in my heart.
SA's Amy's Theme also grew on me - normally Amy drives me nuts, but the theme wasn't bad (though Team Rose's theme on Heroes knocked it into a cocked hat!). Big's theme was nice & lighthearted.
The games' own themes were both great in different ways; it's hard to choose, but I might go with Live and Learn more than Open Your Heart, though I adore them both.
SA2's soundtrack definitely seemed darker and also more techno/dance than SA.
Ultimately though, I own both sets of soundtracks, so I guess I really *can't* choose between them smile

I prefer SA's music... but that'd mainly be because I'm more of a traditionalist at heart...

I would say I like the SA2 music WAY better because it''s a step up especially for Knuckles''s theme song.

Panku Tasuku Personally, I liked SA's music better with the expection of Tails. SA2's theme was better for him. Likewise - although I'm another "both" person, really. There were enough thematic and genre differences in the music for them to be awkward to be compare at times.

Definitely hard for me to choose between the two...both had excellent tunes, and both had songs that were better than the other game's (SA Tails theme > SA2 one, SA2 Knux theme > SA one for me).
Though, I have to count points against Rouge's elevator music-rich levels :p

Most of my points for music goes to sonic adventure 1(like the "I wanna fly high"- Tails theme), and among the few points to Sonic adventure 2 goes to Eggman's theme. cool

Ahhhh! I don't know! SA has cool songs like Open Your Heart and Sonic and Amy's (even though I don't like amy all that much) themes, then I am the Eggman ( which I think came from a Beetle's song) and the Knuckle's new theme in SA2! Hmmm... but as I think about it, SA2 is a little better... I still like both though.

I prefer SA's music...it feels little edgier. Especially the theme song <3. However I love Shadow's theme from SA2 and since Shadow doesent have a theme in SA((thanks to not being a character yet.)) I can choose it as a favorite too XP

I would say Sonic Adventure. I like all the themed in it except for Knuckles and to a lesser extent Big. However, the only themes in SA2 I liked were it's version of It Doesn't Matter and Live and Learn.
Unless we're also counting level music... City Escape's theme was cool.

Sonic's Theme - SA2
Tails' Theme - SA
Knuckles' Theme - SA
Amy's Theme - SA
If I remember correctly, all the others only have one version of their themes.
So, in a sense, I prefer SA themes over SA2.
