Thanks for the comments, y'all!
Fixed up the arms a tad, but I've been staring at it for so long it's hard to tell if they're sufficiently lengthened. Gonk.
Also fixed up the chin somewhat - symmetry has never been a strong point of mine. You're right Icono, I never much fancied figure-drawing classes, colouring is really what I enjoy best.
Thanks for the comments on the site, too, I can design one for you if you want
pirate Page Boy: Painter Classic comes bundled free with Wacom tablets, just something to think about next time you buy a tablet. And if you're a student Corel does a really nice discount for students on the full version of Painter, I'm going to be looking into it myself next Christmas ^_~
As for the hand, I can see what you mean, but a) I'm way lazy, and b) it's going to get covered by some cheezy spell effect anyway.
xd : If it looks totally crap once it's finished I'll probably redraw it though.
What?: I'm hoping the copious amounts of hair is going to hide the weakness around the chest area.
ninja Anywho, here's what I'm up to now, just a background and a few small details to add before I'm finished:

Yes, she is meant to look like she's floating in midair
wink I'm thinking of some big, rustic-looking stone doors in the background. Any suggestions?
