I'm really only into tw of the poses. They're neat ideas but I think they could have done more with the guns. Having said that, gaia's going to erupt with users against guns.

I think the assassin's eye might be useful, but the hood is very like the monk robes.
Plus don't forget about the users who were expecting different guns! xd

I'm not very keen on either of the items this month =/
I like the Masterpiece, but I can't see how I'll be able to use it much... and since I'm not into guns, the Assassin's Guise doesn't really appeal to me.
It seems that they've pretty much gone halfway with the guns thing - they don't have so many guns, or so many different styles, that the people who've been wanting one for ages will be thrilled, but they've still stepped over the line by adding them.

Overall, the Assassin item is just really lackluster. I like the Katar mode, but that's about it. The cloak is not that special, and the shirt thing is uglier than sin. Maybe if it did not have that trailing loincloth. As for the Masterpiece, I like a lot of them. The stone skin would have been better if it didn't include hair, The picasso face might be entertaining, the scarf... well I just love scarves. The Venus Shell and Art Noveaux both meet with approval, and I don't know where the mantle is from but I like it.

Lasers would've been good, infact Gaia could've made them look like guns with laser sights and that would have sufficed.
The katar, I dislike. It doesn't work well with claws. xd
The cloak is just an ugly and small monk's robe and the shirt thing is just strange. neutral
Haven't looked at the masterpiece much but the stone skin looks interesting.

I hate to turn this into a big thing, but I just have to know. Why are guns more offensive than any other type of weapon? A sword is a tool for killing people. That is it's only real purpose. Cutting a person open so that their blood will spill out and possibly organs also. Yet no one has a hissy fit over that. A knife potentially can be used by a criminal to kill and hurt people even more easily than a gun, because they are easier to obtain, yet that's more acceptable than the guns. A spear is a tool of war used by ancient soldiers when they were out conquering other lands, killing innocent people and being generally impolite, yet people were thrilled with the Spartan spear and other Spartan items. I don't understand this way of thinking. I really don't.
But as for the MCs, I like the assassin clothes and the weapons are very well rendered. The masterpieces are beautiful as well. I only wish the statue body could be used with the occulus magica and the elemental/mythic hair. I also wish I had more things to match with all this stuff, but that's not the MC's fault. sweatdrop

Gaia = Anime based forums (it is?)
Animes generally have swords and other style weapons, guns are rare.
That explains it on Gaia.
In real word, guns are more dangerous because they are more unstable, more available and more lethal than blunt or sharp weapons. With a sword etc, you have to actually lunge at someone and even then you don't have a high chance of killing them, with guns they have a much higher chance of actually killing someone and can be misfired accidently.
Additionally, a lot of spears etc are decorational. Guns are not.
