Heh, here's more... razz
Saying: There's no point beating a dead horse. Meaning: Sometimes no matter how hard you try, it's not gonna happen. xd
Saying: Don't throw rocks in a glass house. Meaning: Don't judge others if you're guilty of the same thing.
@Arkiof: Are sure that they're all American and may not be some from Europe and perhaps Australia?

A stich in time saves nine would probably be my favourite, and honestly I've only heard 1, 4 and 5 before.
I've got a few non-American sayings I know:
A rolling boulder leaves no stones unturned.
Happiness is only skin deep

Some English ones..
Many hands make light work. Too many cooks spoil the broth. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. There's no use crying over spilt milk.
Meanings..
It's easier to work in a team than as an individual. It's easier to work as an individual than in a team. Play safe. You can't change what's happened, there's no use grieving over it.

Got another one
1. Don't judge the book by it's cover.
Meaning
1. Don't judge other people without knowing them. Cause you might thing he is a bad person by his/her look outside but maybe in the inside he might be a really nice/softhearted person.
