Hey everyone. Just wanted to let you know, since this was only announced inside of the crew lounge, that Ross Mohan has resigned from his position as Captain for his own reasons. He's still around, but until the elections are over, he's put me in as temporary Captain. So, I'll be taking care of things.

But onto the elections. We've decided that this time around we're going to hold a guild-wide election to decide who becomes the next Captain, instead of deciding amongst ourselves. So to start that off, within the next few days, go ahead and nominate the people you think should be Captain, and if that person wants the job, they'll get added to the list. Once we get all the nominations, we'll put up a poll to decide the winner.

There are a couple rules to the elections though:

1: ONE vote per person. Please don't cheat and use mules, that's really not fair.

2: Anyone caught offering money/favors/whathaveyou in exchange for votes is disqualified, and will probably loose their Crew position if they're Crew.

3: We're keeping it simple, no campaigning, please. When we get down to it we'll put up a thread where very candidate can make a speech saying why they think they should be captain. I don't want to see "vote for me" banners, threads, pms, or any of the sort.

Hmm... well, my initial thought was "pass," but I suppose I wouldn't mind. I'm fairly active, but it's not like I'm some kind of authority on Eureka Seven or anything. I'll think about it.

Right now, though, I think Kayako's best suited for the job. Since Ross already nominated her, I'll try to think of someone else I'd pick. razz

Seems a little obvious. But in the case of a tie between you & someone else, does that leave you to be captain? Are you gonna be the default captain in case something goes wrong with the voting or arguing breaks out?
Is the runner up gonna be a VC or crew if already they're not?

I personally don't think there should be any other change beyond the captain position. It's not like we're having a promotion contest or something. razz

Otherwise, it seems to me that a tie should be left up to the crew lounge. That way it's fairly democratic.

I would just like to announce my reason for leaving. Much like what happened to Tolly, I was constantly around the guild, pumping massive amounts of energy into it. And I met a girl that formed her own small guild -Eureka- Nirvash Pilot. She runs an E7/Naruto Guild. As you may have seen I posted the info on the guild in a few places. Well i joined her guild as a kind of ambassador. And i was talking to a girl in our guild who is also in that guild. And she was talking to another girl from the guild and they were calling me and `Renton Eureka seveN Guild Gods. And that's when i realized i needed to let the guild go. I mean I have a E7 Club, i was captain of the guild I'm in 2 other E7 guilds. And i love the series and what it means, but i dont want to become what Tolly was, another name of Eureka seveN. So instead of changing my name, I'm simply removing myself from the captain-ship and passing on the reigns to someone else.

As i told the crew in the lounge. If I'm ever called upon to help the guild or you need a leader, I'm here, but I know things will run smoothly. And I told Kayako everything I've done and everything that needs to be done in the next few weeks, until a captain is picked.

I've seen alot during my time as captain. I've seen a few new subforums form. I've seen over 600+ members join. I've seen the best of the members and the worst of the crew. I've seen one legend pass from E7, and Ive seen a new part of the guilds life start.

I'll still run my club and help the three guilds, not as a crew member, but as an adviser to the crews of each guild.

And as Kayako knows there will be a party soon, and i hope the new captain will be the guest of honor at the second Eureka seveN Fan party, known this year as "All Eureka Day!"

Well i really didn't fully decide to Resign my post until today, I just finally decided that was it. But its okay i told Kayako everything that needs to happen over every part of the guild.
