Believe the hype?
For once I do! Good job!
Argh! You gave into a publicity stunt! You suck big time!
It's just a Game Boy. Who cares??

The thing is so awesome! It just feels perfect. In fact, I think it's the most comfortable handheld ever. The SP and DS buttons are just stiff in comparison. Also it looks like an MP3 player.

Anyway I was wrong to despair. I'll never go back to my old Game Boys. This thing is sleek, and it's the best version ever.

As hard as it might sound, there are still some people out there that don't have a portable console or know the joy that is a Gba.

You are also asking the wrong crowd. You are asking gamers who will go for the newest thing and stick to it.

The Micro is really jsut a extention of the Gba line before the next GB comes out. It's small to fit into anyone's lifestyle and has the best screen Nintendo has done for a GB. Why we need one. We don't, others do. It's stylish, small and fits in the really small space in our pockets that things like keys, a ipod and a wallet goes.

But really myself, I don't see the final point. I really don't see the main target audience. Is this for the people without GBa's or Ds', if so advertise the SP. Is it for people with a "tight" lifestyle, I don't know.

It does to me look like a good piece of kit. Nice screen with adjustable light power, being able to put any headphone into it, inter-chageable faceplates to suit your personality and it being so small and compact.

After all this tho' the chances of it selling is at large. People where (stangely) saying why have a SP when I have a nice GBa here in my hand? And look what that did.

Wait until it goes on sale, then come back and think about it. If it was a failure then think about why Nintendo did it. If it was a sucess, then think about how strangly smart Nintendo is.

Well, I'm still buying it so my friend can borrow my GBASP and I still have a Game Boy to play with.

He was saying we don't really need expansions of consoles. (The GameBoy Pocket, the Advance Sp and the new designed Pstwo)

But EC is wrong about the DD cause that was add on, not a upgrade xp

Meh, apparently this doesn't even play GB or GBC games.
Way to go Nintendo.
Sometimes I wonder how long they actually will last. As much as I love they're systems and games, I have to wonder what they hope to achieve with this...

The SP isn't like the GameBoy Mirco(Meaning that it isn't an "Expansion")

My bad about the DD.

SP is exactly like the Micro. They are both remakes of teh Game Boy Advance. Neither of them are expansions.

Both are.

Both are taking the idea of the Gba and making it better.

Sp gave us a clamshape to protect the screen, it is smaller than the GBa and it has a frontlight and recharable battery

The Micro is a smaller lighter than the Gba with a completly better screen and is totally backlit with a rechargeable battery.

Both are like the GBPocket was to the GB, smaller, better screens and better battery.

Yes, however the main excuse for buying a GBMicro is if you're new to the game industry, and also if you want to be cool in high school. I was never cool back then because I didn't own a PS1 or PS2. Owning a GBA, no matter how popular, never helped me achieve any popularity. So now the GBMicro will focus on the teen market while I'm in college playing my DS, and I have more friends now. In other words, the more competant High School gamers get something cooler and the less competant College ones get something more unique and more expensive.

I dunno, I just wish the GBMicro released earlier while I was in high school. The DS just seems like something "uncool" compared to the GBMicro and, even worse, the PSP. rolleyes

If you ask me, it's to try and please the stupid hip-hop generation that unfortunately thrives right where I live. They STILL probably won't touch it though, due to their corrupted lifestyles, and the PSP.
I'd get it, but I've got a DS. Now, to visit the MP3 thread. pirate

Its the same concept as the GameBoy Pocket. It has no real tech advancement but it is just a neat little gadget that is smaller than the original.
