Have you ever bumped into somebody in the real world, that actually goes on Gaia?
That's happened to me a couple times.
Some guy at a waterpark asked me to play water tag along with him and his friends, turned out he went on Gaia! We still keep in touch, and I hope to meet him again when I go back to Cali! >.<
I met a guy today at the main market here in Seattle's China Town. He was wearing an OMG and I was like "You are amazing." and he just started laughing. He asked why, and of course I explained it to him. Sadly, he quit a while ago. D:
A guy at my school was also wearing an OMG, and we switched usernames as well! :3
And you all know the story between Retlove~ and myself! o^_______^o
So, any fun bumping into peoples stories?

*marks as an upstart young ruffian*
Once, before I decided that gaia sucked and that I would hide my shame by NEVER SPEAKING OF GAIA IRL AGAIN, I wore my OMG hat to school (it has since been destroyed). Some 6th grader came up to me and said, "OMG! (i kid you not) I didn't know anyone else played Gaia!" so we exchanged screen names. Her profile was plastered with "I am too hot for you" signs and animu crap, so I immediately punched a few babies in the face and went to play starcraft or some s**t.
Long story short, she was lame and I decided to cuntpunt her into neopets or powerpets or whatever people play now.

I sometimes try not to give out my Gaia username. Because, I'm actually kind of (very slightly) worried that if I do, then they might see nothing beyond the "STABBYSTABBYSTABBYKILLDIE". Which isn't good, as I'm already kind of creepy in real life, so I hear, without talking about stabbing things. XD
But, two times I've met other Gaians IRL. One gave me her username, but it didn't come up when I searched it (she could have been buffing, I read the username as something else, or she changed it). The other person was kind of new, but also knows my username, so she could contact me on here. But, she hasn't.

When I worked at Michaels (the craft store) I met a kid who was on Gaia, and we hung out for awhile till I realized she wasn't the type of person I could get along with. So I just kind of ignored her till she went away. e_e I'm not proud of it but it's the truth. That was like in late 03 or early 04.
Then more recently I saw a guy at Nekocon (local anime convention) wearing an OMG, and the tentacle arms you can get via the store. I asked him if he was supposed to be a hentai tentacle monster and he laughed. Said he just liked wearing the tentacles. And then I asked if he'd made his OMG or bought it, and he realized I was on Gaia too. We chatted for a little bit but didn't exchange usernames cause he wasn't really active, and I probably creeped him out with all the BJDs (expensive asian dolls) I was towing in my little red wagon. @_@

I've seen a couple people at my at school talk about Gaia. Of course these are the people who have also played Neopets/WoW/blahblahblah and switch weekly, so I didn't bother talking to them. Also I didn't like them, they were annoying. <.<

ninja For the benefit of Mr. Kite... I keep wearing my OMG Hat and Gaia shirt in public in hopes of meeting fellow Gaians. So far, that hasn't really happened. emo
...Well, except for a few real life friends that I already half-knew were on Gaia anyways. xd
...there will be a show tonight. domokun

(Would you mind replacing my name with 'Ret' in your first post? I like to keep my name off the internets.)
I found out that this girl who sat next to me in a summer class was on Gaia, but I don't remember how now. It was awhile ago.
I remember one time I invited a couple people over for a sleep over, and when they got here I was on Gaia, and I said to them, "Oh, let me just finish up here real quick," and they saw the screen and was all "Oh, hey, you're on Gaia too?"

Oh crap. Disney World trip back in April with like, 50 other high school seniors from my school.
Plus who knows HOW many high school seniors from other schools. It was the weekend of that Grad Night thing that our school didn't do because it was more expensive.
On one of the shuttle buses between Disney parks, there was a dude with a Grunny wristband. XD
It was pretty awesome.

Guccigirl247 Druki Do conventions or introducing people to Gaia count? Conventions, yes. Intro people to gaia, no. xDOh I've ran into several people in Gaia. Considering, y'know, almost every that goes to the Gaia panel is a member. And everyone that hangs around the booth is also a member. Then I've met the admin and a few developers... And I ran into a gang of moderators without knowing who they were. And we all became friends after that. Funny story, that. I'll post it sometime today. :3 Aaaaand I would see people walking around with Gaia shirts on. Or cosplayed as Gaia avatars. OH I ran into [Monotone] from the old GCSG last Anime Expo. biggrin I don't know if she's still here, though. D:

Well, a girl I used to be in a choir with (she's one year younger than me, and I moved up to the next choir but she's still back in the other one) goes on Gaia. Our parents were talking (I swear we had to stay like a whole hour after choir practice because of them), so we were stuck there while everybody else left. I noticed that she was listening to an InuYasha theme on her mp3 player, so we got to talking about anime, and suddenly she was like "Have you heard of a website called GaiaOnline?", and I was all "MOM GET ME A PIECE OF PAPER!"
Then there's this girl that I was in choir with a few years ago that I started talking with again because she's in my mom's orchestra, and i knew she liked anime because we used to talk about InuYasha. So it was during study hall one day, and we had about 10 minutes of free talk time. We got to talking about Lucky Star, and I randomly decided to ask if she had a Gaia account. And she did :D
Oh! And one time I went to visit my mom's godchildren at a trailer park where they live during the summer. I was wearing my Gaia print shirt because it was a new shirt and I luved it <3 So I heard that they were having a teen dance, so I was all "What the heck, I'll go." I sat off to the side for about 15 minutes before 2 guys came up to me, one 17 and one 19, and were like "Is that a Gaia print shirt?" We talked about Gaia for the whole rest of the dance until I was forced to go home D:
And of course, I met Dan at Ohayocon :3

I met some random guy in summer school. I was sitting with my friends(who by the way don't know about Gaia and think everything I do is weird), well I was wearing my Gaia Grunny shirt. And this kid out of no where literally screams "Gaia!" I was shocked. But ironically my friends were in another conversation so no one paid any attention, which was a relief. I never got his name nor did I talk to him, it was just funny though.

Surprizing, a lot more people than I thought are on Gaia and go to my school. xD
Once, I was talking with a friend in one of my classes who I had introduced to Gaia longlong time ago. One of my classmates overheard us talking about Gaia, and came over and joined our conversation. I got their username and they're now sitting in my friends list. :3
I know a set of twins, I found out one was on Gaia at his graduation, and I found out his twin was on Gaia a few weeks later when I met him.
Then, I was talking with someone in math class on the last day of school for the semester in my math class, and the topic got to Gaia somehow so I gave them my username. :3
I bet if I bought an OMG one day and wore it to school, I'd get flocked by half the school with usernames. @.@

Ahahaha, I don't remember too well how I learned he was on Gaia, but the best trumpet player that was in the school band while I was still in high school and I exchanged Gaia usernames. xd We were already friends and liked bugging each other about video games.
I'm pretty sure he's still on my FList. I think I've PMed him about band camp too when I was still in school. o-o
