I'm not quite sure I'm in the right forum for this, but...
I've had this thought on my mind for a bit, has anyone noticed that a few of the characters/events/etc. in the Twilight series are really similar to Vampire Knight? Especially the characters.
Examples
Zero-Edward comparison: Both think that they're complete monsters because of their vampirism.
Yuki-Bella comparison: Both human girls torn between two completely different people.
Kaname-Edward comparison: Both act sort of posh and dominant.
Zero-Jacob comparison: Both are sort of underdogs in the story.

I agree, but the whole vampire knight plot line has some completely different situations than twilight.

i would somewhat agree with this theory, sounding credible and yet kind of likely at the same time.
Especially with Yuuki and Bella ending up as Vampires though in the books, one defines the levels of being a vampire while on the other hand, the other only has a single platform of vampire though other people may say that the Southerners and the Northerners would make two categories.
But not in the way of the Human, Aristocrats or Level E mannerisms.
In terms of the character comparism, definitely likely, but if you pause and liken it like this.
Zero as Jacob: - The Best Friend who falls in love with her
Yuuki as Bella: - The human who turns vampire and loves someone else
Kaname as Edward: - The well mannered vampire who is looking for someone to be with for all eternity.
and side comments mentioned that both characters were 'Mary Sues' in their fields...
Then, maybe just PERHAPS...
**pause**
since Edward ended up with Bella. perhaps that would seal Kaname's victory with Yuuki.. Lol... I'm just going to wait and see.......
