It had been about two months since Chuck had confided in Martin about his powers. Martin had remained a true friend. That was very, very awesome and he was glad to be partnered with someone that was an evolved. Glad to be! Why, with powers like that, things turning bad for them weren't as likely to turn bad. What a stroke of luck, to have a friend like this. Yes, sir!
It had been two weeks and Martin had been talking about a big boss of his that would be visiting them. They had to be careful around her, he said. They had to watch him. Yes, sir. She was dangerous. Watch it around her, Chuck. But she was the best ally you could have. Yes, sir. Just keep it on her good side!
She met them at Martin's apartment. Long, black hair and dark eyes. She wore a professional dress outfit. Everything about this young woman shouted business lady, nothing hinted that she was a part of a petty pick-pocketing group. Martin bowed and ducked to her will, getting her a drink and talking about this and that and---
"Martin, if you would leave, I would like to speak to Chuck."
Martin paused, then frowned and nodded and left. He gave Chuck a thumb's up from behind. Keep it cool. Keep it cool!
Ms. Lisa Hendricks smiled at Chuck. The wind in the room picked up. . .Not that there was supposed to be any wind in the room, "I hear that you are like myself. A loner out in the world with powers. Called special by mother nature herself, but pulled down by human prejudice." She suggested.

Chuck had been standing by the window as the big boss arrived. His blue-green eyes shifted as he glanced at her, not fully engrossed in his own mind at for the moment. She certainly didn't look like someone who'd be invoved in thievery, but then again the ones in charge never did, right? At least not in the movies anyways. His eyes fluttered back to the window as he slowly began to tune out all the things Martin was telling her.
The boy was so out of it, off in his own little world that he hadn't even noticed Martin leave. That wasn't to say that he hadn't heard the lady ask his pal to leave, but the words just seemed to be floating in one ear and out the other. It was quite tipical to find the boy in this pirticular state, and perhaps that was one of the reasons why spotting him as a pick-pocket was as hard as it was. After all who would expect a seventeen year old who was often in 'la-la land' to be nothing but a thief. A thief who wasn't even in the business for money, but simply to feel as though they had at least some control of their life.
Life. A word Chuck was rather fond of. A word that was often somewhere on his clothing.
It wasn't until the wind had picked up in the room that the boy seemed to snap out of it. Giving a startled jump back, a look of complete confusion plastered all over his face. "W-wind?" Where the heck did the wind come from? The windows weren't even open.
It was a question soon answered as the lady began speaking. She was one too. Like him, she had powers. Ally indeed! This was something he had not been expecting, and yet again he felt like he was not in control of his life. A feeling he hated, yet a feeling he was all too familiar with. Now what had Martin said about her? Stay on her good side? If only he had been paying a bit more attention, maybe if he hadn't zoned out so much.
"Special's one way of putting it." he spoke giving a slight jesture with his left hand, his green fingertips sticking out like yellow snow. Chuck frowned, gently tugging his sleeve so that it would once again hide his hand. It didn't matter that she was like him, his changing skin tone was something he was not pleased with, and certainly was something he liked to keep hidden. "-What do you want?"

Lisa looked at Chuck's hand, then smiled, "If you are willing to accept it, I would like to offer you help in controlling your powers. I do not know if I can help to reverse the affects of them or not, but I do have experience as a trainer. Please, take this as a choice and not as whatever it is Martin has told you about me. He tends to exaggerate, as I'm sure you're aware."
Lisa was, indeed, keenly interested in Chuck and his abilities, but neither was she going to force him. That was always a foolish tactic that ended up coming back to harm you later. He would have a choice in the matter, and she meant to make that clear.
Lisa sat straight, her posture impeccable. Except for glancing at his hand when he indicated it, her eyes did not leave his. She gave the appearance of having her full attention on him, and that attention helped to give off the aura of truth in her words. After all, liars looked away when they spoke. Not straight at you.

Chuck crossed his arms, he felt somewhat unnerved, it wasn't often he spoke about powers especially with someone else who had them too. His eyes darted to the window, his gaze being held in the sky. He wasn't exactly sure what he shoud do, what he should say in a matter like this. He was being offered help, help to control his powers and perhaps even reverse what had happened..or was happening to his left hand. If it couldn't be reversed there was still the chance that some form of control could at least prevent the change in skin colouration from growing, but how was he to know. He didn't. He didn't even know if any other part of him would change colour, maybe it would forever be just his fingertips.
The boy bit his lower lip. His thoughts were getting him nowhere. He was being offered help by someone who actually might be able to do just what she offered. He could take control over the thing that had been cast upon him during that fateful day in the park. "I-I don't know.." Chuck's gaze seemed to grow distant. "I mean..I didn't even want these powers in the first place. -And now I have to worry about my whole hand turning green. Things were a lot simpler before."
She sounded truthful in all that she had offered, and she was right about Martin. The guy did exaggerate things. Still it was something he wasn't too sure about. "Don't get me wrong, I want to be able to control them, but I'm not even sure what exactly my powers are, let alone what else they can do aside from making things break. And none of that explains why my hand is turning green." the boy sighed, sometimes it really seemed as though he was just watching his life not actually living it. This unfortunatly was not one of those moments.
His gaze finally turned back to the boss lady, "I know learning how to control them would really help me, but don't you need to know what I'm capable of first? Or maybe you already do, how would I know. ...This would be a lot easier if my power was changing things. Then I could just fix my own hand. I mean there was this one time where I dreampt the neighbours dog was a lawn gnome, the stupid thing never shuts up -And for a second it really seemed as though it was one, but my eyes were just playing tricks on me, things like that don't happen." What was that all about? And why the heck was he being so open with her?
"I have a question for you.." Chuck began, slowly moving away from the window. "Why do you want to help me anyways? What's in it for you? People don't just offer help and expect nothing in return." The world didn't work that way, it never worked that way.
[ Wanted to put in the doggy lawn gnome thing, just to show that somewhere in his mind he's slightly aware of the whole 'altering' part of his power, though he probably wont be able to tap into that for a long time. Especially since he doesn't really believe that it's possible in actual reality. The dog more or less had been encased in a lawn gnome slightly bigger then it, so he can't actualy psychically affect animals or people. If that's not ok to put, just let me know and I shall change it. 83 -still needs to work out some more of the rules for his power yush?- ]

"That's true," Lisa acknowledged. "There are several reasons I wish to help you, none of which would truly matter for you to know, but Iwill say this to you. You are in my group. We share and we help each other out. It's as simple like that," she seemed to half shrug, her eyes still not leaving Chucks'. "Moreover, I would rather not have an evolved without control here. That's why I would like to help you." She smiled faintly at Chuck and a with a challenge. She had sat up even straighter, keen, alert.
"Just because you don't know what you can do, doesn't mean there isn't a way to find out. Control will just be one more step away then," Lisa told Chuck. The look in her eyes had softened a bit. She was still looking into Chuck's eyes, instead of away and absolutely sincere. She would help him and she would do everything she could to get him to be at ease with himself, his powers and the world, too, if she could help it.
She paused then and was silent for a moment before she spoke again, softer and more kind. Her sharp gaze seemed to soften in compassion. "Things always used to be better. But dwelling on the past..." she spoke softly before continueing, more firmly, her eyes once more becoming sharper. "Things are as they are now and they will need to be dealt with. Hiding from them or running away from them isn't an option." Lisa was the no-nonsense type of person. Confront your problems head on before you could master you.

Could he trust her? It really didn't seem like he had much of a choice if he wanted any control over his ability, or at least if he wanted to stop them from activating randomly. It was really starting to seem like a good idea, but in all stories good ideas quite often turned out to be...not so good ones. This was indeed a hard choice, and he wasn't sure what exactly he should do. The boy gave his head a slight shake, he couldn't just stand around and think over the same things again and again. He had to make a choice. He had to decide.
The lady's reasons for helping him that she mentioned seemed honorable enough, or honorable enough for someone who happened to be involved in a pick-pocket group. Chuck's brows lowered, a somewhat concerned look upon his features. Why couldn't he just say yes. Why couldn't he just say he wanted the help and be done with it? It wasn't as though his secret was being ratted out to anyone that could get him in trouble.
The boy continued to remain silent, listening to the lady speak. Chuck's mind soon wandered yet again, as he tuged gently on the bottom of his sleeve. His mind was trying to play his options out like a movie, allow him to watch the possibilities, but really there wasn't much logic that floated around in the boy's head, at least not at the moment and so some of the ideas, the thoughts were a tad far-fetched.
Blue-green eyes blinked as confronting his problems was mentioned. Confronting them was never something he did well. Infact it wasn't something he did at all. Chuck would always just lock himself up in his head rather then confront anything. But cofront these powers, these problems before they could take control of him? Well that certainly seemed like a good idea. The blond haired boy swallowed, shutting his eyes for only a moment. "Alright." he uttered with a nod. "I accept. I could use the help."

A smile spread across Lisa's face then, and she slowly rose to her feet and extended her hand to Chuck. "You will not regret it, Claudius," she promised. "This will turn out to be one of the best decisions of your life, I can promise you that already."
((Ok, well, uh, end. xD We'll think of someone else as Chuck's trainer, because I have trouble playing Lisa. Let us know what you want to do next, or if you need our help with something. ))
