Alright, so we know that dreams are often the subconscious way of telling us things, right? Well, last night I had a dream that involved some energy use and for whatever reason, it really stuck in my head, so I'm thinking it might have been important. ;Shrugs.;
So, details of this dream... Or at least the important parts. ^_^
The basic idea was that in the dream, we needed to know something that this girl knew, but ether couldn't remember, or something like that... So me and this girl sit down on different sides of this table, with pianos, or keyboards or something at the places where we were sitting. From there we both start playing the pianos at the same time, same song, all that. The the dream shifts and the girl is laying down on the table, but I'm still playing my piano. Then the dream shifts again and the girl is asleep, I'm standing over her and I'm sort of running my hands down her arms and legs. At that point I pulled my hands away and there's strings of energy attached to the tips of my fingers, although I can't tell if they're coming from the girl or from me. Then I started waving my hands around like I was conducting a symphony, with the strings still attached and it seemed to have some stimulating effect on the girl. =/
From there I can't remember anything more, other than that whatever it was that we needed to find, in the dream, we found.
So what do you all think? Any ideas what that might have been about?

i would say that the dream is basically telling you how to awaken a currently dormant ability/potential, if you have it again or any other dream that stands out, analyze it and see what it says to you.

Makes better sense that what you said...Especially if the "energy" was white. I have a book called "10,000 Dreams Interpreted" and am looking up what I can.

To dream of seeing a bright-looking girl denotes that unhappy carers will oppress you,if they appear otherwise than serene.
The book mentions tables,but nothing of sitting at or lying on them.
I will assume you sat on a bench.
To sit on a bench denotes you should distrust debtors and confidants.
If you see others doing so,happy reunions between friends and loved ones who have been separated by misunderstandings are suggested.
To dream of a piano denotes some joyful occasion.To dream of an old fashioned piano denotes that you have,in trying moments, neglected the advices and opportunities of the past,and are warned not to do so again.
It would help it you told what kind of song it was.

Those dream interpretation books can be a great start, but I have to warn that they aren't always useful. They use interpretations of symbols that most people would agree on. For example, when a very devout Christian sees a snake, they would interpret it as a bad omen of some sort. I, on the other hand, would see the snake as a symbol of healing because I am in the medical field (Take a close look at the modern symbol for medicine).
This is my take on the dream: it sounds like you and this girl have an emotional or spiritual connection. The music and the energy made me think "they're on the same wavelength." Because the girl fell asleep, I think that it means that she is unaware of your connection, but she feels it unconsciously. Since you are more aware than she is, you're able to influence her more than she's able to influence you (the end where you're conducting). If you know this girl in real life, that's pretty much the gist of it.
If you don't know who the girl is, I think that the dream has more to do with re-connecting back to your anima, or the female side of your soul or consciousness.
It would help a lot if you could remember your feelings at the time, because your feelings are usually your biggest clue to what the dream is about. When it comes to dreams, YOU are the most qualified person to interpret your own dreams, so whatever explanation feels right to you is probably the best one.

And I know the implications are there, but seriously, sex was not involved. >_<

Just curious, but does anyone know of anything in energy work like what was going on in the dream? Again, mostly curiosity.

I remember having a similar lucid dream with my spirit guide that had something similar, though. It was several years ago, and these streams of energy jumped out of his fingers and went into my hands. He told me it was a gift, but he wouldn't say what it was. sweatdrop
Anyway, some people believe that many of us unconsciously naturally astral travel in sleep, which would explain the energywork. Personally, after I'd gotten the hang of lucid dreaming, I started to leave my body regularly at night.

I don't know anything about dream interpretation, but several meanings on the surface sounded pretty cool, like the pianos/music had something to do with using energy, as well the the puppet-like strings. Dunno about you guys, but those are very potent symbols of energy for me. Oh, sex is too, but I guess the dream wasn't about sex. Which is too bad, because it would have made the dream good in any case.
