OK this has never happened to me untill today.
I have beaten my copy of VII alot and i mean alot.
Nortmally when Aerith dies and cloud realeses her into the water.
OK this is where it gets weird
OK she is floating down the water then she suddenly starts glitching out doing 360's and whatnot and then she shot back out of thew water into cloud's arm's
Like rewinding a videotape
was funny but weird
has this ever happened to anyone?

It's either your disk is scratched, you got a dodgy copy or your reader needs cleaning.

Hell, if I saw that I'd be rolling on the floor. Then I'd have to call all my friends to tell them only to have it not happen again. In other words, screencap or it never happened.
But I do remember glitchy things like that happening after using the Debug Room.

lol it's like Aeris says "No! Don't throw me in the water!" I wonder why Cloud saw fit to put her body in the water like that anyway. Then again, they could have at least tried a Phoenix Down... =P

That's becuase in battle they don't really die, they faint. Pheonix Downs revive them from their unconsious state. Aeris had realy died.

I'm gonna take a shot and guess that this is a fairy tale. Because in no way does your playstation (1, or 2) have the power to rewind a game. It isn't possible. Nor does it have the power to remove a sprite from a set place in the game. Damaged parts can only take away or add data. They can't move it around, so a damaged cd would not cause her sprite to move from its set course, nor would it rewind the cinematics.

I would assume it was more that the disc started jumping to random points in the cut scene I mean thats possible right?

Well, not really. As I said, DVD's, CD's, anything of that sort its a possibility because the script in the date allows it to be rewinded. However, as we all know, when a game is scratched and messes up, id doesn't repeat the damaged part of the disc again and again because it wasn't programmed to be able to rewind. And also, it couldn't be a possibility because even if it did have the power to rewind, it still couldn't move Aeris from her set track. I didn't see Aeris doing any 360's while in the water, she went strait down. It is not possible, unless you were to reprogram the game for her to move from her strait down path.
